I love this salon! The products are European anti aging! Low toxicity, no smell. Gel can be taken off much easier. Led lights used to eliminate age spots that reg lights cause. Renate is a lovely experienced lady! Always a treat!

Just moved to Tucson from the northeast.
I really wanted someone that knew how to do gel nails. I read the reviews and Renate was fabulous. She is fantastic and I will go to no one else. Uses great products also.

I have been getting LCN manicures in NJ for several years and wanted to find someone in Arizona who could do as good a job. After speaking with someone at the LCN head office who highly recommended Renate, I called and made an appointment. Renate is a true professional and is meticulous about her work. She is very pleasant and her place is truly a relaxing space. I highly recommend Renate and hope to be a clent again next winter.

I was looking for a nail salon open past 7:00 and Renate pulled up. So so glad I found her. She squeezed me in last minute and did a fantastic job. I loved that her place is small and personalized. She is very talented and treats you like a friend. I would recommend her to anyone. I’ll definitely be going back!

I moved to Tucson in October 2011 from San Francisco. I have tried seven nail salons and still not happy with the service and the artistic. I am so happy to find this nail salon. Super friendly service here, almost no waiting for appointments, and perfect nails every time for the past six months!!! The salon is lovely, and always busy, which is a sign of excellent service, in my opinion!!! Will never go anywhere else. Check out the salon’s facebook page to see what you are missing!

My husband surprised me for my birthday and got me this great package I wasn’t sure about getting another pedicure somewhere again because of a previous bad experience but Renete was amazing I love her accent and she did such a good job. Would recommend her to any one.

What a great find! I was desperate to find someone to do my nails for my wedding last minute because that was the one thing I forgot to plan for. I called Renate after seeing good reviews here on Unilocal.She was about to leave for the day, but told me to come in anyways. Even though I was a walk in, she took her time and made me feel relaxed.
I went in looking for gel nails because I have admittedly terrible nails– they are short and tend to peel easy. She took one look at them and told me that gel nails are not good for people with weak nails and that I should avoid them. Wow, finally someone who cares about nail health! I never knew regular gel was bad for my nails. She recommended that I do the «Black Diamond» manicure with the CND product line she carries. The polish is still cured under UV light like a gel manicure so it lasts and does not chip.
My nails turned out BEAUTIFUL. The stuff she used had bits of real diamond dust in them, so my nails had a blissfully subtle sparkle to them. It’s so worth the extra cost of these for a big event.

Very private setting and the attention is all on you. Very nice lady and the services were good. She was running a bit late, which made me late, but what are you gonna do? I would go back to Renate because she is just a pleasure to be around and makes sure you are compfortable.

Renate’s Nails is my favorite Nail Salon in Tucson. I had not found anyone who offers perfectionism to their service. Renate takes her time and has all kinds of awesome products. I bought the Unilocal deal-​oil mani & pedi– and it was worth every penny. I will definitely be back!

Renate was fantastic. Very personable in a personal space of her very own, not a big noisy salon. She was thorough and made my skin soft and my nails shimmer. I will definitely be back again soon.

I bought the Unilocal deal– $ 40 for a manicure and pedicure. It was worth every penny. Like other posters have said, Renate has her own personal studio so you will be the only customer. It is very relaxing and there aren’t people yelling over you like at some other nail places. With that in mind, you definitely want to make an appointment. This isn’t a walk-​in kind of place.
As far as nail care, Renate really takes her time and does an excellent job. This place is top notch. I’ve had some pretty botched manicures before, you’re not going to get that with Renate. She uses very high quality products and they were all new. No old, crusty polish here. She has a variety of products as well, so if your skin is aging or sensitive, she has something for you.
To top it off, Renate has a very nice personality and is very friendly. She seems happy to chat or sit quietly so you can relax, whatever your preference.
Typically Renate charges $ 80 for a mani and pedi. The going rate in Tucson is usually $ 45-​$ 55, but at those places you will not get the level of service and care that Renate provides. I bought a full price gift certificate upon leaving for my friend for her birthday because I wanted her to be pampered by Renate like I was.
Another nice thing is that Renate is very clear about her pricing and won’t try and jerk you around by charging «$ 5 more for salt scrub.» So many nail places in Tucson nickel and dime you like this, but still rush though your service just so they can get more people in the door. All the perks are INCLUDED in Renate’s service.
In summary, the service I received from Renate was better than the $ 120 mani-​pedi I had at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa in Scottsdale.
As soon as my budget allows for it, I’ll be back to see Renate. If you’re sick of all the shady nail places in Tucson, go see Renate.
