Noodles were overlooked, way too many of them and the beef was really fatty. My spicy soup was nothing of the sort.

Nice restaurant with many delicious Asian food. The ambiance is the typical Vietnamese décor, the food is authentic. The boba drink is not the best. The pearls are over cooked and not enough flavors. The staff is very courteous.

the prices are kinda expensive but the phở is good although not necessarily better than miss saigon’s. If anything they’re baguettes are definitely worth getting here more so than their phở.

Saigon Phở had okay food. I’m honestly not the biggest fan, but will go here because I’m a college student and it’s convenient and on campus. However, if given the choice, I’d rather go out of my way to go to Miss Saigon(for those who are new to Tucson: there’s a location on Campbell, just south of Speedway), because the food and boba is generally better. Also, Saigon Phở might be difficult for parking throughout the week if you’re not a student with a parking pass. Especially during lunch or dinner hours, there’s very limited parking spaces(parking meters) on University. I mainly gave this place three stars because it’s just a-ok. It’s not bad, but it’s also not particularly good. I would still go here since I’m a student and it’s convenient.

I have eaten here a few times because it right at Main Gate by campus. I’ve tried the baguette sandwiches because they seemed like a quick, easy lunch option. To begin, they are not quick. Secondly, not my favorite in terms of taste, flavor, etc. I actually wouldn’t recommend them, but I know people that like them, so maybe they’re worth a try. I think the Phở is pretty good, and it does come in a large portion, so I tend to get this when I come in. But I’ve also experimented with some of the more«authentic» items on the menu. They’re all pretty good, but they are not«amazing.» Since the price is low, and the portions are good, I’m willing to get a meal here every now and then. Service is really good when you go up and make your order. But people really don’t check on you after that moment. It doesn’t seem like a place where you should expect that though(I mean, you pay at the front and then they bring your order to you – not really a server-service type place, but I see others have complained about this). If you haven’t gone, it is worth a try.

The Vietnamese baguette sandwiches are worth the hassle of finding parking and finding this little restaurant at Main Gate Square by the University. I come here on weekends to avoid parking fees. Saigon Phở probably has the widest assortment of Banh Mi in town and they are very reasonably priced! You can probably walk out with a sandwich and a boba drink for only less than $ 8. The phở is okay but doesn’t stand out compared to other places nearby.

this place has been getting worse and worse… i ate here the other night and the vermicelli was served HOT. I was super disappointed in that as everyone knows bun is served room temperature.

I really enjoyed the spring rolls! Very tasty! My chicken noodle dish was average but not bad at all. I’ve been in Tucson for two decades and never tried this place until now. Overall I’d say it’s pretty good-but a little pricey.

Such an amazing variety of foods to try! The Rare Beef Phở is really good, great price and a generous portion. It has all the right flavours. I also really like the Boba Smoothies, I think I had Mango last time and it was gooood. I haven’t had a Banh Mi yet but they all look yum. The service is friendly and the food comes out at an acceptable speed. The best part, I mean BEST… the Shrimp & Pork Spring Rolls!!! They are fresh, large and just all round awesome. I have tried Shrimp Spring Rolls at about 7 or 8 other Vietnamese restaurants around the country and none have compared. I have basically given up try to find a good match because I am always disappointed when I compare them. The sauce is great too, perfect balance not too sweet, nutty creaminess. Some sauces are too tangy or watery, theirs is perfect. They have nailed it and I’m forever changed!

I love Saigon. It’s conveniently located in Main Gate Square across the street from the museum and behind the Urban Outfitters. I appreciate Miss Saigon because it accommodates vegetarians very well with its huge vegetarian menu(in fact, it’s separate from the carnivore menu). And it’s worth noting that it’s one of two places in Tucson that serves vegetarian Phở with a vegetable broth. I’d recommend the #4 or the lemongrass tofu banh mi. And be sure to grab a drink with your order. They’ve got some incredible boba tea & smoothies(I recommend trying the Taro smoothie).

The chicken curry was a strange texture… Like split pea soup. And the flavor wasn’t that of typical curry. It wasn’t bad… Just weird. I’ve eaten curry from a lot of Thai and Vietnamese restaurants and it’s never tasted like this. My sister’s egg rolls and fried tofu were good though.

Love Phở, but this place missed the mark. Visiting from DC and saw this place across the street from the Marriott and decided to try. The broth was not strained well had grease visible and was not tasty. The portion was great, but the broth the key component just missed the mark for me. I did eat my Phở but was not happy with the experience

I had the seafood phở(even though it had egg noodles instead of phở noodles). Overall it was ok until I got to the broth. Too salty! However, the service was excellent overall and the girl up front was really nice. Would I come back again? Sure thing I would! The Thai Iced Tea with boba spoke for itself. Something within walking distance from my hotel and had generally good food? I’d be back but definitely order something else instead.

Best Vegetarian Phở by far intown– most places just give you vegetable broth, noodles, bland tofu, etc. But, Saigon Phở’s is so tasty! Not sure what it tastes like. but it is good, not bland at all. I usually get it to go.

Don’t get baguette sanwiches/Banh Mi here if you want actual banh mi. I got the BBQ pork. The meat was flavorless and vegetables were not pickled. The bread was stale, thick, and doughy — not a french baguette. I also got the phở. The broth was sweet — in a not good way.

I gotta be honest with you — I’m just not that impressed. Miss Saigon is bit of a walk away on Campbell so this place might be better distance-wise from campus, but if you have a car, go to Miss Saigon instead. The phở here has no depth of flavor. I’ve been here two or three times and got different bowls of phở, but they’re just not that tasty. As simple as phở sounds, there needs to be a fine balance of delicious goodness that goes into the broth — it’s a basic Vietnamese dish with a lot of soul, and I feel like you can judge any Vietnamese restaurant off the quality of its phở. The phở here almost tastes watery with little flavor — I find myself dumping in sriracha just to make it taste like something. The food here is just bland. The quality is not there. I feel like the menu is almost too large for such a small restaurant to execute well. I’ve had boba from here as well, and I always end up with icy chunks that the bottom. Really, go to Miss Saigon. They execute flawlessly and give you delicious Vietnamese cuisine for a better price.

Pretty mediocre phở. Big big portion but the broth has some sweet undertones which really doesn’t work very well. The meat was rough and lacked flavor. Cheap to eat so I will probably come back when my standards are low. The three stars are for their big reasonably priced banh mi that has some flavor. I like how they stuff it with lots of fresh vegetables and the meat is always well cooked. Great to eat on the go. Some of their other dishes are okay, some are not. The stir fried noodles were really not very impressive. The fried rice is okay. The shaking beef is deliciously grilled and works very well with the lettuce wraps.

I’ve been to this place a couple times for there boba smoothie and teas which are pretty good. This time I had there #35 which was more of a different meats phở. The bowl was literally big enough for 2 people to share it included your sides that normally come with your phở such as a lime, mint leaf, cilantro and bean sprouts. It was not to bad but I felt the broth needed a bit more flavor tho normally it has this great aroma of spices in the broth but this one was a bit bland it wasn’t worth the $ 8 honestly.

Service was absolutely horrendous. No one asked if I wanted anything to drink, no on checked in on me, and the people appeared grumpy. The food was also not that great. I ordered chicken curry expecting chicken in a thick curry. Instead I got an odd chicken noodle soup hold the noodles. The broth had somewhat of a curry flavor but not what I expected. I would avoid this place and go to pei Wei. Its also cheaper at Pei Wei.

The restaurant has a distinct smell. Maybe it’s the lemongrass, maybe it’s the fish sauce, I don’t know. I don’t mind Asian restaurants carrying a smell if they are good; I just noticed it on a Thursday night when the business was slow and few customers ate in. I got the beef phở and fried spring rolls. The phở was pretty tasty, but the spring rolls were bland and greasy. Once in a blue moon I have a craving for Vietnamese food, and Saigon Phở will do.
