History

Established in 1996.

Around 1996, two guys were sitting around discussing their future. It was soon decided to leave the Midwest and travel to the base of the Rockies to seek fame and fortune, and that’s when they developed a «nugget» of an idea for a fast food operation. Soon, they were selling submarine sandwiches to people all over Northern Colorado. Silver Mine Subs® was founded with a vision of providing premium sandwiches made fast and delivery service until 3:00 a.m.

The Tucson locations are owned by Jeff Jones, a local family man. Jeff worked for the corporate Silver Mine locations as a driver while attending college. He worked his way into management and enventually into the corporate office. From there he took on a big loan and relocated to Tucson to take over the first AZ location. Since then, he has opened a second and is always searching for more oppurtunites ahead.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeffrey J.

Business Owner

I am a very young entrepreneur. I believe in hard work, integrity and commitment. I started working for Silver Mine Subs as a delivery driver while in college. I worked nearly full time while maintaing a strong GPA as a full time student as well. Upon graduation, I begged, borrowed and pleaded to come up with a down payment to purchase my own Silver Mine Subs location. From that point, I’ve managed to grow our business into a very successful restaurant. I’ve recently opened a second location here in town, all while getting married and having my first child as well. I work fast and hard. I am looking to have my 3rd open before I turn 30. I work in both of our stores and love to get to know our customers. Please stop by and say hello.
