Tank’s Green Stuff creates premium, locally-​made organic landscape and garden products, including Tank’s 100% Organic Compost. Tank’s Garden Blend, Fine Mulch, Decorative Wood Chips, Tank’s-Pro Potting Mix, and Topsoil are just a few of the other Tanks Green Stuff products.

Products can be delivered in bulk (by the cubic yard) or in bags. Tank’s Green Stuff is also carried by many fine retailers such as nurseries and hardware stores.

History

Established in 2010.

The inspiration for Tank’s Green Stuff was to recycle the large amount of green landscape debris accumulated from our homes, businesses, landscapes and other green spaces. Tank’s recycles a natural organic resource by transforming them into valuable landscape materials that are healthy for people, plants, and the environment.

Tank’s Green Stuff is a division of the Fairfax Companies. The Fairfax Companies is a recycling company in Tucson, specializing in recycling construction debris (as well as plastic, metal, cardboard, and many other materials).

«My goals are:

To make or create local markets for waste materials currently disposed of in construction waste landfills.

To use waste materials to create green products that can be sold throughout the community. Using those materials and products to create local sustainable manufacturing jobs, renewable energy, and foundations for „green“ construction.

To assist local governmental and private institutions in Tucson to help them reduce water consumption by switching from petro chemical fertilizers to organic soil amendments created from urban green waste.

To aid other business in creating a green sustainable economy in the Southwest in order to use as a model for other municipalities.»
