My fiancé and I had dinner here for the first time last night. What a fun, laid-back atmosphere! Our waitress was sweet and very friendly. We had the bracchioli, 8 cheese ravioli, and chicken wings. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. My only suggestion is that they need to get the one waitress out front some help. The poor thing was running the tables and cash register, taking phone and to go orders, doing salad prep, and bussing tables all by herself during peak dinner time. Help a sister out! Otherwise, the experience was wonderful! If we lived here we would be back often!

Wow!!! This is the real deal, I have never had such a wonderful lasagna! My husbands New Yorker sandwich(pastrami and Swiss and corned beef on rye), was equally tasty and high quality. The flavors were well beyond expectations. When I walked in I knew we had stumbled upon a hidden diamond amongst the coolers of provolone, mozzarella, salami… But it was the combination of flavored and high quality meat that did it. Don’t expect a fancy Italian dining establishment or a quaint deli. This is not the place to go for a cutesy or modern atmosphere. This is the place to go if you want the best food at the best price– the real deal!

We have been to Tony’s several times since moving to the east side. They’ve always had good sandwiches, pasta dishes etc. but the last time we were in there we were seated next to a guy who was waiting for a slice of pizza. I hadn’t even considered ordering pizza from a deli. With all of their other Italian offerings to choose from, I just never ordered pizza? I asked the fellow waiting for his pie how the pizza was at Tony’s…he replied«it’s actually the best pizza I’ve ever had!» So naturally it wasn’t a week before I went ahead and ordered a pizza of my own. I ordered a small to come in and pick up. The wait was brief and the service, when I arrived, was phenomenal. One of the young ladies who worked the counter actually helped me carry my food to my car without me asking!(I’m still on crutches these days) When I got home I was getting a drink in the kitchen and I hear my girlfriend in the living room mention how beautiful the pizza was. When I saw it I couldn’t help but agree… this pizza was beautiful. It had big, freshly sliced pepperoni with Italian herbs sprinkled over the cheese. It smelled delicious and it tasted even better! It was definitely the best pizza I’ve eaten in my house and one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had period! I can’t believe we’ve lived down the street from Tony’s Deli for nearly a year and we haven’t gotten pizza here!!! We will certainly be getting another one soon… maybe tomorrow!

Superb dinner had the pasta di paolini, superb, molto bene! The rest of the party had a spaghetti and sausage and the ravioli special, all were delicious. House wine was excellent. Excellent and engaging service, food was served hot and on time. Highly recommended go here for real Italian cuisine.

There was a hair my pastrami sandwich, when I took a bite and swallowed, I realized what had just happened I got physically sick. I called to let them know, they offered to replace the order, but at that point I was not interested. They got my number and said that they’d have the owner call me back but he never did. I really liked this place, I’m extremely disappointed and I will not ever go back.

Stopped in this morning on my way home from the grocery store. I needed some Italian sausage for lasagna tonight, and I thought they may have it. I used to live on long Island, and I miss the pork stores and delis where you can go get good fresh ingredients for an Italian dinner. Holy smokes was I shocked when I walked in! It was like I was back in NY! Such friendly staff. And they make their own Italian sausage. Heck they even make their own Italian lemon ice! But when I saw black and white cookies on the counter I knew I was sold! The staff were so easy to chat with, and I offhandly mentioned I’m Portuguese and can’t find Linguica sausage here. Ha! He makes that too! So my fridge is smiling with a bunch of sausage, and I just enjoyed a trip back to NYC with a fabulous black and white cookie that had the perfect ratio of sponge cookie to gooey frosting ratio. Some I’ve had here are dry. Not these! While I was there they were making sandwiches for a catering order. They looked awesome! And they have the dry San Francisco style salami my boys like, so I see a trip back for lunch in the near future. This was an epic find in the desert!

The food is wonderful! Service was quick. It’s nothing fancy, but you wouldn’t know that from the flavor.

We have been here before to get some cold cuts but have never tried their actual food. After seeing the reviews we decided to give the food a go. We order before we arrived, quite a selection since we could not make up our minds what we wanted to try and we figured we could have leftovers for the weekend. The place itself you can definately tell has been here for thirty seven years, it is dated and I don’t mean in a bad way. It is just old. The employees are extremely friendly and courteous. They greeted us as soon as we walked in, figured out that we were the large order that had called in for take out and let us know that they were working on it and it would be awhile and to have a seat. Once the food was ready, they brought it out and went over it with us before we left to make sure they had everything. We took it all home and sampled everything. We got four different dinners to include the Braciola, Spaghetti, Sampler and Spaghetti Carbonara. Everything was excellent and honestly the best Italian we have had in Tucson. We will definately be going back and we will recommend this to family and friends. We regret we have lived here all our lives and never tried Tony’s before now. Such a shame.

Good food at what I think is a fair price. Nice selection in this smallish place. I’ve only been here twice, but I’ve been treated like family each time, and I’ll always make the guys bring me here for lunch when I’m in town from now on. I’ve had sandwiches so far but pizza or pasta comes next.

I’ve been there a number of times. I always have one of the specials which used to be $ 6.99 but just got raised to $ 8.99. However still a good deal. The special includes an entrée, salad and garlic bread. The salad is fresh and includes olives, pepper, onion, lettuce, tomato. The garlic bread is delicious. I especially enjoy the ravioli-lately the special has been with pesto sauce and it’s very good. It’s one of the smaller portions of the entrees. Most entrees are very large and you take some home with you. The pepperoni ziti is also delicious and a huge portion. They have gluten free pasta and bread as well. It is a small place. Much of the business is takeout. There are about 10 – 12 tables inside. There is a patio in back that holds more people and they sometimes have a special event there that has a buffet and entertainment. They have a lot to offer but be sure to check out the specials which are a great value. It is a little tricky to find as it is a bit off the road but is on the north side of 22nd St. west of Wilmot.

Food may taste good, but I just couldn’t get past the filth. This place looks like it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in at least two years. I lost my appetite the more I looked around. I won’t be back.

I love this place! It is truly a hidden gem. I don’t know how they keep their prices so low considering the quality, and the quantity of food you get. And the service is equally awesome. Very nice Deli, and frozen entre selection too.

Only place in all of Tucson that sells authentic New York style crumb coffee cake. That’s because they have it shipped in from New York. All of their Italian dishes are true to the word«Italian». I just finished a plate of their homemade meat ravioli topped with their made from scratch marinara sauce, and all I could think was«Amore» during the consumption of it. If you love Italian food, and I mean real Italian food stop by this place and try it. You won’t be disappointed.

What a great deli! they make a delicious«Denver Sandwich» — hot pastrami, tomatoes, red onion, melted swiss and pepperoncinis! A lot of friends and colleagues frequent this deli and Ive never hear of a bad experience. I also HIGHLY recommend the veal parmesan finished with a DELICIOUS cannoli! This is the best Italian deli!

THEREISNOOTHERDELI. Don’t even say Roma Imports to me. Don’t. Even. I’ve delighted in Tony’s Italian Deli since childhood and it thankfully has not changed one bit since! My family and I keep coming back for the Sicilian pizza with HOUSE-MADEITALIANSAUSAGE. Oh my god. I can’t even explain how delicious it is. Just order it for goodness’ sakes. Truly robust, high-quality, authentic ingredients do not get any better anywhere. You can order in(just be aware the service is very casual and very slow) or take-out. No frills here and not much in the way of ambiance. It almost adds to its divey, New York-dingey charm. You can buy a wide variety of Italian deli goods to take home and it’s very reasonably priced. The staff also prepares many of their pasta dishes to-go, heat-and-serve style. A great idea for a quick dinner on the run and I highly recommend the eggplant parmesan as well as the manicotti. Truly mouthwatering. Delicious desserts — the cannoli and cheesecake are just super. I’ve never been in any Italian spot before or since in the Southwest that serves real spumoni. ANDITSAMAZING. This place gets a bad rep for being slow(who cares! Worth it!) and because it’s old and outdated(We are here to eat, people! Get over it!). Just eat it. Eat it all.
