Tucson Meet Yourself present the 38th annual Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival October 14 – 16, 2011. Free admission. For 38 years we have brought our community together in a joyous celebration of music, dance, folk arts and food. Cultural heritage is shared in the open spaces of downtown Tucson. Our year-round mission is to research, document, interpret and present the living traditional arts and expressions of everyday life of the folk and ethnic communities of the multi-national Arizona-Sonora region.
History
Established in 1974.
Tucson Meet Yourself is a non-profit 501c3 arts & culture organization. Founded by James Griffith in 1974, TMY celebrates the diversity of our regions folk and ethnic communities through year-round programs and the annual Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival, held the 2nd weekend of October.
Our volunteer driven, community based mission: to research, document, interpret and present the living traditional arts and expressions of everyday life of the folk and ethnic communities of the multi-national Arizona-Sonora region.
