Tucson Reptile Rescue

I absolutely love this place! I walked in expecting to see a couple lizards and other small reptiles. Boy, was I wrong! The animals were amazing and Charlotte and Lane work extremely hard to provide large and clean shelters for the reptiles awaiting adoption. I just found out they offer boarding too. I would totally feel comfortable leaving my pet with them. Way to go, Tucson Reptile Rescue– keep up the great work!!!

I heard about this place through the Reptile Show. They are super knowledgeable and truly care about all the animals in their care. They make sure an animal is going to a proper home before handing them over and their adoption fees are super reasonable considering how much some of these animals would cost from a «breeder». I got a beautiful ball python from them and I would definitely do it again. They are the only group in the Tucson area that can take in reptiles on such a large scale making them invaluable to the community. Next time you want a reptile, consider adoption!

We adopted our two tortoises from here and 3 red earred sliders. They really care about the animals and education about reptile care. I always feel I can ask them a reptile care question and get an informed answer. We love visiting the animals when we are in town too and whole heartedly support the rescue. These are wonderful people who truly care about the welfare of all reptiles. I would highly recommend them.

The owner is very knowledgeable about the different reptiles. She is very busy keeping the place clean and making sure the critters have food, water and no waste in their habitats. She is good at finding caring homes for the reptiles, and filtering out people who shouldn’t own pets. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. The owner loves to right fight and always has to get the last word. I got waves of mean spiritedness and arrogance from them. You couldn’t convince me to adopt a garter snake from this place. I advise everyone to steer clear of this rescue, completely awful.

Amazing job not only taking care of these unique pets, but also in educating people on which pet is right for you!
I went in (single mom) with my 2 kids 5 & 6. Thinking– snake yes, feed it once a week clean it’s cage every once in awhile; no big deal. Nope! Seeing how big and how much care is required determined that we aren’t ready for reptile friend just yet.
But here’s the awesome part! The staff is so nice and so happy to have you there, they will talk to you and your autistic super full of questions son about every random thought. They will take the reptiles out of their cages, let you pet them and really make you feel at home. We visit often enough that it quenches my son’s thirst for his own friend while at the same time educating him so that he’s ready when the time comes.
The adoption fees are also super reasonable, we go to the reptile show and knowing how much the lizards, snakes, tortoises and turtles cost as babies– adopting is the much better route to go! The staff knows the temperament of all the animals which could play a big role in your decision; temperament that you may not know about in a baby.
If you’re looking to add to your family, I highly suggest the Tucson Reptile Rescue! Amazing organization!
