In home tutoring of all academic levels: elementary, middle, and secondary schools together with college and beyond. Our tutors are carefully screened for their academic achievement and communication skills and score in the 97^th percentile or greater in their respective ACT /​SAT test scores. The effectiveness of our tutors is demonstrated by the loyalty and testimonials of our clients and the referrals their provide.

History

Established in 2006.

Varsity Tutors was started as a response to the lack of quality tutoring available at an affordable price. The founders realized that there were brilliant university students interested in making money who currently were working in chemistry or physics labs making $ 10 per hour. They realized that there was a demand for incredibly bright, friendly tutors, but people in the local community were having difficultly finding them. By connecting brilliant students interested in tutoring with people looking for tutors, we are providing an important service to our clients. Our tutors are bright pre-​med, chemistry, engineering, and physics majors (among other majors) who are eager to work as tutors. Our tutors are substantially smarter and more motivated than the ones found at other services.

Meet the Manager

Kimble C.

Manager

Raised in Missouri, Kimble received a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. After serving in the U.S. Army, he and his wife joined the Taliesin Fellowship of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in Spring Green, Wisconsin and Scottsdale, Arizona. Returning to St. Louis, he established the architectural design and planning firm of Kimble A. Cohn & Associates and acted as Principal-​in-​Charge from 1974 to 2005. He enjoys the local music scene of Tucson and hiking the Arizona wilderness.
