Voyager Rv Resort

I was charged a resort fee that I was not told about upon making the reservation nor was I was told about it upon checkin. They called me after I left and told me I owed them money.
Terrible business practice that I am not sure is even legal,

The security guards are very unprofessional and rude to the guest that come through the gate. They have absolutely no customer service skills at all. They are the first person someone see’s when coming to the park and that sets the tone. If you want your park to thrive be a little nicer!

I stayed here with a friend from out of town because he wanted to see the Pima Air Museum and the Titan Missile. This fit the bill for being close. I didn’t spend much time on campus but the place seemed favorable and friendly.
If you are looking for breakfast, be sure to check out the on-​site dining hall. Pretty good!

It’s craptastic!.. bossy security and limited on what you are allowed to do. the grill is terrible and very over priced!.. unless you have no taste buds avoid this place. front desk is rude and the only one that smiles is security at the front gate. most likley because they are not in the prison-​like facility. don’t violate any rules of you’ll be banned to your rv. all in all it’s not worth the $$ to stay. you can drive around the corner and stay for free then wake up drive up to the gate say you want to check it out. then use the showers and toilet and leave. that will be better then a night there…

Voyager Resort has it all! I stayed here for business a few weeks ago and was very impressed. It is a little ways out of town, but worth the extra 10 – 20 minute drive. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. I believe they were recently renovated. I wish I brought my swimsuit because they have three pools and two hot tubs! I was able to use the fitness room, which had everything I needed, including a nice view of the mountains! I also ate lunch in the restaurant. I had a really good chicken wrap and delicious chocolate mousse pie! I will definitely return. Hopefully next timeI can spend some more time and use the facilities like the pool, spa and golf course.

I violated one of my laws on RV Parks stays and suffered the consequences; NEVER stay in an RV Park where there are permanent residents. Invariably people who wind up living full time in an RV Park are bitter, and let’s be honest losers. An RV Park for their retirement was the best they could do; how sad. This place has ads on the freeway «voted best rv park in the nation» Perhaps the survey was done by Grumpy Retired Loser Rednecks magazine. The pools are nice, but the actual place where you camp is a parking lot, absolutely no landscaping, shade, privacy; nothing. Not to mention this place is in the middle of no where.
Do you yourself a favor and stay someplace else.

We stayed in this park from mid November to mid February, 2013. The park is a very active adult park. Lots of people stay at this park because of the pickleball courts. Pickleball play is a big activity here.
The park is very clean and the restrooms are very clean. There are lots of other activites to do, however many do charge a fee. The park seems to be geared more to long term stays rather than just a few nights.
We checked out all the other RV parks in the area and think that the voyger is by far the nicest.
One of the biggest down falls to us was that the park is located so far away from everything except the freeway. It’s a good 10 mile drive to the grocery store, department store, etc.
The people were all super nice and I’m sure we made some lifetime friends. By the way we are our retired and in our early to mid 50’s. Loving life!

This RV park is a mixed bag for us but has its high points. There are lots and lots of things to do here as previously mentioned. It cannot be beaten in that respect. We also had very inexpensive and tasty breakfasts at the café (under $ 5 for a big meal) and the prime rib special tonight ($ 12.95) was a great value and excellent meat. The bar happy hours are okay. The restrooms are kept clean and are fairly nice, unlike so many RV parks we experience in our travels. We were lucky at the front desk as the staff were helpful and the café staff and market clerks were always ready with a smile. There was a very nice farmer’s market the other day with a lot of good food. Wed. they serve donuts and coffee for free. People staying here seem to generally be fit, active, and happy. Finally, their policies concerning controlling children who are guests and not allowing barking dogs make it a much quieter and peaceful park than many. So Voyagers shines in these respects.
The cons to us are the profit-​oriented corporate culture which dictates that they will squeeze every penny they can out of anything they can such as internet service, tiering charges for RV spaces based on how many extra feet of width you get, charging an extra $ 3 per day activity fee, etc. etc. The RV park is a parking lot with little done to make it attractive or to provide privacy; it is just a place to park with mini picnic tables and mini-​concrete pad. The rest is rows and rows of mobile and manufactured high density housing. It is not a quiet place and if you don’t have a well-​insulated rig you will be inundated with a constant din from the freeway traffic, occasionally irritating aircraft noise from Davis-​Monthan, lots of traffic in the park which tends to add to the noise level.
In summary, if I haven’t scared anyone off, Voyagers certainly is a place to be tried by anyone looking for an adult activity-​oriented resort where money is not a concern. It has a lot to offer.

While the mobile home section looks beautiful and well manicured, the RV section is a parking lot of crumbing asphalt with few small trees. The WiFi is good but not free. The pool area is nice and there are lots of tennis courts. The burger at the grill was the worst I’ve ever had. All I could taste was greasy, cooked FAT. The taco salad was decent, but again, terrible quality of beef. I guess for a huge community, they do a good job of keeping it organized.

We’re here for a month in a 38′ 5^th wheel and have a large dog (boxer). Although we are close to one of the dog runs, we use the gate at 3^rd and 18^th streets to take him out to the desert because there are alot of dogs that use the dog run. This park is huge. We rented a golf cart from one of the residents and I highly recommend if you are here for a while to do the same. There are lots to do here. I play golf at the resorts 9 hole 3 par course on Thursdays with the ladies. I also join the bicycle group for longer rides both highway/​park and desert. Hikes are twice a week. Two large pools and hot tubs are great! Bingo on Tuesday is a great time to get to know people. Lots of musical groups, dancing, glass working, etc. All of this costs money — very few things are free, so bring $$$. If you like keeping busy, then this is the place for you! Beware, some of the front desk clerks are a bit odd — rude. The place is now owned by Encore corporation, multiple laundry mats, grocery, restaurant, hotel and many more offerings. Although most people are very nice, friendly, helpful, we probably won’t return. We are several years younger than most people here and feel that it’s not a great fit for us. BTW, the most important thing I like about this park is that is has top notch security — gated and fenced all around. Made us feel very secure. The biggest drawback is that the park is roughly 10 miles away from grocery, resturants, etc. — guess I’m spoiled having stores closer. It’s a bit pricey $ 725/​mo + ele. and we stayed here ²⁄₂₄ to 3÷24÷12 which is peak season.

Top shelf! Security guard at the front gate! Excellent place-​if you want the high end this is the place-​golf course, tanning saloon, doctor on staff-​hotel-​tennis courts-​suffle board-​indoor/​outdoor pool-​This has to be the top of the list of all parks I have ever stayed at-​mail room-​and on and on-​we ate at the dinner-​good food-​its own store (they even sell beer!) Laundry etc. One thing-​when you come here-​bring plenty of money. Its nice!
