Williamson’s Heating & Cooling

Chose Williamson’s based on all the 5 star ratings hoping they would perform as advertised. Very pleased with Walt’s work. He immediately knew why the control valve on my gas furnace was leaking. Worked quickly, shared photos of the before and after and the price was reasonable. I will definitely use Williamson’s again.

These are the only guys we call when we need help with our heating or cooling. We were very lucky to have had them recommended by the previous owner of our house. She was thoughtful enough to leave a list of companies she had been dealing with over the years and when our AC quit working we figured why not? Everyone we dealt with was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable and even if they didn’t know they quickly made sure we were put in touch with someone who did. Our service tech came out and worked a while on our unit, made several adjustments and even rigged it so the AC would at least work until another worker could come out and finish the job. After everything was said and done we were ready to pay on site but they said they would just bill us. That kinda made us nervous not really knowing what to expect, considering new parts were put in, plenty of labor etc. When the bill finally came we were shocked at how LOW it was. I mean we had just braced ourselves for the worst I guess but it was very reasonable. Lastly what I really appreciated is that the tech took time to explain exactly what the problem was, showed us what was and wasn’t happening and what needed to be done. This is a great company!

I found Williamson’s Heating and Cooling after my regular A/​C guy (for 3 years) could not stop my A/​C unit from backing up and leaking. He actually came out three times and each time he left, a few hours would pass, and it would continue leaking through my ceiling! Then after the last time he came out it started leaking in a new spot!!! I was at my wits end after two days of this. I found Williamson’s Heating and Cooling on the third day and spoke to Phil. After hearing my plight, and I’m sure the panic in my voice, he said «we’re booked up but let me see if I can rearrange the schedule to get you in». He called me back 30 minutes later and told me Doug would be coming out in a few hours. Not only did they squeeze me in, but they actually showed up! A rarity, in my opinion, in Tucson. Doug explained that it looked like my A/​C guy had finally fixed the leaking condensation pipe on the third try, but had inadvertently kicked loose the other condensation pipe — that’s why it was leaking in a different place. So, finally after three days, Williamson’s Heating and Cooling was able to solve and fix the issue. Thank you Williamson’s Heating and Cooling!!!

There’s not a circumstance much worse over a hot Fourth of July weekend than having your AC unit spew white electrical smoke instead of sweet cool air. After some intricate and sweaty research, I found Williamson’s, and John had my Trane up and running in no time. I was prepared for a terminal diagnosis when he emerged from the wall of burnt wires with a smile that said it all. I love guys that take pleasure in their work, and when he told me he was Trane-​certified and could fix it, I had no doubts. He ordered the parts immediately. I was prepared for sticker shock after his many hours of meticulous repair work, and was pleasantly surprised at my reasonable bill. These guys truly provide optimal service at great rates, and their follow-​through hits it out of the park.

On one of the hottest days of the year our AC stopped working. We called Williamson’s and Doug was at our house within a couple of hours. The problem was diagnosed and broken part replaced within the next hour, and for less than 150 $ we were back in cool comfort.

Due to a very bad experience in 2011 with an air conditioning service and installation company, I am very jaded toward anyone in this line of work.
So when I had a problem with my residential unit, I was dreading the notion of being forced to go though another experience.
Fortunately, I called Williamsons. Despite record heat for that day, and consequently a large volume of service requests, they found a cancellation in their schedule and fit me in.
In less than an hour, their technician had the issue diagnosed and repaired and my unit back to normal, and for less than $ 100. At no time was there an attempt to deceive or upsell.
I highly recommend Williamson’s to anyone in Tucson who needs AC service.

Williamsons Heating and Cooling is the only cooling and heating company I will call and I recommed them without reservation! Wally shows nothing but genuine concern for the customer and is a true professional. Best ever in all my comfort needs.

Moved into a manufactured home in Dec. 2014. A/​C unit was relatively new, but when we tried to use it, it would not cool the home. Saw great reviews for Williamson Heating & Cooling, so I called. Doug, the first technician to come out, kept me completely appraised on everything he did & why. The refrigerant was low, so he checked the entire system for leaks. He did not have enough refrigerant on his truck, so John came out later on that day to complete the service. Both of these gentlemen were knowledgeable, respectful & courteous. The bill was reasonable, with the majority of it comprising of 5 lbs of refrigerant. The job was done right, the first time, with me, the customer being constantly informed. I will use Williamson again & refer anyone having problems with their HVAC system to them. Thanks Dave, Doug & John.

Robbie the head cheese does the estimating and the business stuff, and he’s great — not pushy, explains the options, was very patient with me as we explored the different things I was interested in. I did end up picking a high-​end system, but not because he was hucking me — he also provided much cheaper quotes for simply replacing my condensers as I requested. I elected to bite the bullet and do it all, and I do not regret it. The new stuff is awesome, nearly silent, and the house feels fantastic.
The lead installer Devon and his crew just finished installing the system today. Downstairs was pretty straightforward, easy access to the air handler et al, no worries. Was done in a day. Upstairs was another story, as the air handler/​furnace was in a crawl space in an attic above a walk-​in closet. Cramped, hot, with poor access and little room to move. Devon crafted ducts and a plenum to fit the space, cut a slightly larger hatch and then trimmed it all back like it was, and got everything installed, cleaned-​up, vibration-​free. Replaced the insulation, tidied it all up, perfect. It was a pain in the ass, I am certain. No complaints were heard from him.
The rest of the crew was also first rate. Every night when they finished (three-​day project) they cleaned EVERYTHING up. They covered my floors and carpets with plastic where they would be walking, cleaned up everything behind themselves, took all the trash, boxes, my old units, everything. No easter eggs. Professional all the way around.
Personally I think who you buy something like this from is frankly more important then exactly what you buy. I could not be happier with my decision to work with Williamson’s Heating and Cooling.

We recently purchased a home here in Tucson. There is a workshop attached to the home but it did not have any air conditioning or heating. This was a problem we needed to rectify as we were going to turn it in to a home office and would need to spend many hour\s each day in the room.
My wife researched every option she could find, the options we were thinking about turned out to be not so good. Then she came across the Mitsubishi duct-​lees system locally installed by Williamson Heating and Cooling.
We Called Williamson’s for an appointment and Robert Williamson came out and explained the system and measured our space. We received the quote latter that day.
The installers were very professional and cleaned up after them selves. They gave us a complete explanation on the workings of the systems before they left. Robert came back out a couple of weeks latter to make sure every thing was completed to their standards and asked if we had any problems or concerns. We did not. We will continue using Williamson Heating & Cooling because they truly understand customer satisfaction.

We arrived home on Saturday to discover that our air conditioner was out. With temperatures hovering around record highs, this was clearly a problem! I called Williamson and they were able to send someone out within a few hours. Manny was the technician. He arrived in the timeframe that he told me he would be here. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong, and gave us a quote for the repairs. He finished the repair quickly and within a short time we had cool air again. We were very pleased with the timeliness of the call, the service and the price. We did have to pay the weekend rate but given the circumstances, we were happy to do so.
I recommend Williamson and will certainly use them again!

Our air conditioner went out on Friday night. I called the after hours service and they were able to schedule a service call for the next day. John the technician was there at the promised time. He was very courteous and professional. It was 102 degrees that day and he did his job quickly and thoroughly. He showed us the part that was broken. It is rare to find a honest reliable company. This is one of them. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family. John told us they charged more for weekend calls, but it was worth every penny.

Fortunately, when we moved o Tucson over 8 years we needed an ac for our home.
We had several bids, chose Williamson’s much to our benefit. We have 2 Coleman heat pumps that do an EXCELLENT job of heating and cooling our home. Very economical. We have them provide service to our vacation rentals along with our home. Prompt, honest and John does an AMAZING job explaining every detail. He took pictures on several occasions to show me what needs to be repaired and what it does.
Glad we found them. Superb business.
