Specialties
At Joselito’s everything is special. Of course I would say that, I am the owner. Really though, if you try us you will love us. We are very unique in what we provide. We treat each and every customer like guests in my home.
Our house special Margarita is our Organic Margarita made with Milagro Tequila, fresh lime juice and Organic Agave Nectar. We created the original Almond Joy Margarita and serve 2 different kinds of sangria.
Our seafood is amazing. The Camarones de las casa is a favorite here. Made with our homemade Garlic Butter. Our fajitas served sizzling at your table always make my mouth water.
If you have room for dessert you have to try our homemade flan. I promise you will love it. Ask your waiter for our gelato flavors that we make in house daily.
History
Established in 1977.
The original Joselito’s was a little hole in the wall started by my mother and father Myrna and Jose Sr. in Burbank, CA. After opening a second location in Montrose my dad put most of his energy there. Always making sure his customers were treated like family.
I have carried over my dads tradition of service and great food in the Tujunga location. My father still pops his head in from time to time to make sure things are being done to his standards. He is never dissapointed and always impressed as I am sure you will be.

Jose and Tumara G.
Business Owner
Joselito’s Mexican Food was started in 1977 by Jose’s parents; Myrna and Jose Sr. He was only 3 years old at the time and can remember dad wrapping an apron around his waist and telling him to bus tables. Since then Jose has worked at Joselito’s as well as other restaurants including a chinese restaurant and studied Culinary Arts at Mission College. In 2000, after opening and running a successful Deli, He opened up the Tujunga Joselito’s. In 2010 Jose and Tumara took over Joselito’s Tujunga. Tumara has worked at Joselito’s Tujunga since day one and eventually her and Jose got married. They realized they made better business partners than marital partners but still work together better than any team since Abbot & Costello. Tumara has an extensive food service background that started in the Navy and continues in LAUSD Food Services. There is another Joselito’s in Montrose run by Jose’s younger brother. While they share the same basic recipes each one is run independently.
