I hope I never, ever have to see my wife cry again after getting a haircut. The cut from this barbershop is so bad she has had to cover it until she git it fixed, but it is going to be a miserable for her until it grows back. We tried to find someone responsible but there is no way to get someone to reply. All research led to dead ends with all kinds of activity at the state licensing level that makes you wonder.

Excellent haircut. They know how to actually do a fade, up to date with any style you want. Precision haircuts are a can do and the price is reasonable. To top it all off, great conversation. It’s good to see a barbershop that has that neighborhood feel to it where they’re not afraid to engage the customer and chat you up. Satisfied to the fullest and found my new spot since moving up north.

Really wanted to like this place, but based on quality of the cut, won’t be going back. Went in to see Will. He was really nice but almost 30 minutes late for the appointment. Also had no idea what an undercut was. He did let me know upfront but after talking to another employee he seemed like he understood what I wanted. He didn’t.
When I got home I realized how uneven he left the top of the hair. Also didn’t clean me up at all. I was shedding all over the place. Even went to Sally’s to see if I could just get something to style it better until it grew, but will have to get it cut all the way down somewhere else. Really bummed because I was looking forward to trying something new.

I moved to Seattle 5 months ago and wish I would have found this place then. Its a legit Barbershop. Book online its very easy and accurate. BLAZE was my Barber and she did a GREAT JOB! Got the cut I wanted and have been looking for since I moved up here. $ 20 for a clean regular cut and $ 23 if you need the extra facial beard attention.

Okay, initial warning. This place is cash only! They were cool enough to let me go grab cash while I left the haircut recipient as collateral, but I don’t think the reviews here warn about the cash only nature enough.
My guy needed a haircut, and didn’t have time to research all of the places to go in Tukwila. (He’s originally from Lynnwood and is moving down here.) So, I hopped on to Unilocal,and found Chop It Up. The prices looked great, and they offer online booking in addition to the solid reviews here, so I booked an appointment with Rico for the next day.
Rico did an amazing job! Not only did he do a great job dealing with a mass of locks that brings Andrew Jackson to mind, he also tamed my guy’s Grizzly Adams beard. J is really happy with the new look, and will definitely be going back to this place and asking for Rico!

I highly recommend this barbershop. I was visiting from Portland and needed a good haircut, so I hopped on Google and found this place. Soon as you walk in you’re greeted by multiple barbers (setup an appointment which you can do online through their website! They also have an app). Breeze cut my hair two different times and she did a great job both times. She picked up right where my personal barber left off. Breeze is very professional and personable! I would recommend her for anyone. With that being said I noticed great cuts from the other barbers in the shop as well, so I don’t think you can go wrong with this place. Nice flow of customers and barbers from every ethnic background.

I like this place a lot. Haven’t been to the other location, but I don’t see a reason for me to go since my barber is here at the southcenter location. Will, my barber, he’s so coo. He listens to what you really want and executes it real well.
He’s really the only barber that cleans up after he’s done doing his thing. He goes over my head and make sure there aren’t any pieces of hair sticking out. Unlike other barbers I’ve been with they didn’t do that and that caused me to leave em lol. I hated the fact that after I showered there would be hella hair sticking out still. Ever since I went to Will, he’s been doin his thing and I’ve been gettin my cut by him.
This place is by appointments only, although they do see walk-​ins, but you might end up waiting for a long time. I suggest you download their app and book yoself an appointment. Their app kinda sucks tho lol, it needs improvements. Shit is always crashing. But just as long I get my appointment in the book, that’s all that matters I guess.

This was my first time at Chop It Up. After reading the reviews I made sure to make an appointment online before coming in, and it was definitely helpful since the walk ins that showed up during my cut had to wait for a pretty long time.
Breeze cut my hair and she was great. After, she have me tips and advice on how to style my hair and what to so when it grows out. The cut took about an hour but time went by fast since all of the barbers were really friendly and made conversation. There were also a bunch of TVs around.
The place was very clean. Service was great. I can’t think of anything wrong with Chop It Up and I will definitely be returning for future haircuts.

I recently took my son to Chop It Up and I will have to tell you that it was an AMAZING experience. Will, thank you man for working on my son’s head for over an hour and cutting his «frohawk» to perfection. You have to understand, Will picked and pulled the mess out of my son’s head. My son is six years old, he teared up because his head was matted in some places because he does not want to sit still to get it done. I wish I could upload a before and after pick for all of you to see. Will you are amazing and thank you for the «real talk» afterwards too and you are 100% right about he gets no options sit your butt down! The atmosphere in the shop was 100% customer service oriented. There was no huge wait and we walked in. I have three sons and they all will be getting their hair cut at this shop. Thank you again Will and I love Chop It up!

Went in to get a Seahawks design done by Will to prep for Sunday’s big game– and was very impressed with the shop. Their scheduling service is super convenient and easy to use. I had originally scheduled with someone else, he ended up texting me early in the day (appointment was at 630p) to inform me he couldn’t do the design I was looking for and to schedule with Will instead.
Everyone in the shop was super respectful and made me feel comfortable and at ease. Will is a great guy, and very skilled at his craft! I’ll be coming here again for sure, and referring family and friends from now on as well!

Horror Story 1: Went here because my regular barber was not available. Absolutely destroyed my line, buzzing my line way back into the side of my head. Laughs about it afterwards on meeting him later says maybe I didn’t like you. Are you serious? I paid for a service, was kind and congenial. This place is ridiculous, do not spend your money here unless you want a bad haircut it will take forever to fix an rude service. Who do these barbers (saying that kindly) think they are?

I’ve been a regular with my son at Chop It Up Barber Shop for about a year now. My son is quite picky who cute his hair. At 11 years old he has image. For my son style comb over nice clean cut. So when it’s time for a hair cut we only go to this Chop It Up Barber Shop! Ask for Breeze whos cut both of hair since day one. If Breeze wasn’t around to cut my hair I think would let the other barbers at Chop It Up Barber Shop cut my hair like Rico…

Awful service! Not worth the rudeness and inconsistencies of hair cuts. This place is so awful I would recommend Supercuts over it, and that’s saying a lot.

It took me a awhile to find the right barber that knows what style I was going for. I was recommended to a chill dude named Joel at Chop It Up and then my search was over. He knows how to style and cut asian hair very well. He knows the current trends that are in such as combovers and disconnected haircuts. His fades and blends are the best that I’ve had so far. He also doesn’t push your hairline back which is crucial and pays attention to fine details which is greatly apperciated. He always is booked so make sure you book in advance. The environment in the shop is friendly and not intimidating like some other shops I’ve been to. They got a pool table and a Jimmy Johns next door if you want to kill time while waiting.

Always a story to be heard. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for a nice clean professional cut. These guys are experts who love what they do.

There are many horror stories when coming to a salon to get a haircut. I am sorry to inform you that you will not have any horror stories to tell with this salon. The location is surprisingly convenient, and you might have unknowingly passed it a few times on your average drive around the SouthCenter area. It’s located in the plaza where Toys R’ Us used to be, which is now replaced by Value Village. Parking is always available, and the Value Village lot is always sparsely populated with cars. Inside of the shop you’ll be greeted by 8 chairs which may or
mat not be occupied already.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT just walk in.
Depending on the time of day you might have to wait for 2 hours to get a seat because of people before you, and people who made appointments. I made this mistake the first time I came here and I missed a few other appointments.
The haircuts are very well done. They do haircuts for some of the players on the Seattle Sounders, and the Seattle Seahawks! Ask any of them and they will happily tell you more details.
On Monday’s– Wednesdays between 10 am and 1 pm, they have an early bird special where the haircuts are only $ 10 dollars! Their professional clientele, location, and price are impossible to beat, especially when you compare it to the likes of Great Clips.
They are absolutely masters of fades, line-​up, and everything along those lines. However, outside of those types of cuts your mileage may vary. I’m an asian man so I have straight hair, and my undercut turned out very well, especially the fades which look very natural.
If you come in on a weekday you might have the pleasure of being pleasantly entertained by a debate between the barbers that will bring everyone in the shop together in smiles.
Be wary of the music, because this is not an atmosphere for children, this is a barbershop for grown adults. However from what I’ve seen they do fantastic haircuts for children.
All in all, this place is my Go-​To for haircuts.

In from out of town for a seminar and the hotel I was staying at recommend CHOP IT UP. These guys are great! I soon as I walked in all the barbers greeted me warmly, and Will hooked up my beard giving me a clean cut look. Thanks for making me look sharp!

I have gone here a couple of times and really enjoy going. The last time I was there I had an appointment with Joel. He did a great job cleaning me up. Very attentive to what I was looking to do, which was let him free form!
I have always been greeted when I walk in and thanked by multiple people when I leave! I feel like my business is appreciated and I would be welcomed back.
Ensure you take cash with you, that’s their only form of payment, which can be a problem if you are unaware of it! Also, book an appointment so you aren’t waiting, especially if you are taking advantage of their happy hour discounted price.

Looking for a shave, style, or braids you should check this place out. The atmosphere is always fun and appropriate and you can’t help but smile when you walk in.
Mesa is awesome for braiding … she can braid while watching TV. I have a simple style for my son and we are in and out in 45 minutes and it always looks great.
The staff is accommodating and always appropriate in front of the kids. Check out Chop It Up!
