Seattle Bagel Bakery

I really wanted a bagel sandwich for lunch today and this place came up as the closest and has a good rating. Cute little hole in the wall (really hard to find). Short hours for the café or whatever it’s called (they close at 2pm). I came in at 1 and it looked like they were either so busy most of everything sold or they had already started bagging up what didnt sell today for quick sale. The only major draw back is that all the sandwiches and salads are premade… so if you don’t like or cannot eat tomatoes or onions… not so many choices. Super yummy breakfast sandwich! :) (yes for lunch… it was one of the only options w/​O onion and/​or tomato)

Don’t offer on demand Bagel sandwiches if it’s going to be a problem to make them. I was pushed to the back of the line on my 30min lunch break. The Employee told me she had to ring up an older gentleman that came in after me and then two construction workers after him walked in; So, I was pushed further to the back while she chatted it up the construction workers. I will take my business elsewhere! Bagels are o k. Will be purchasing elsewhere.

I have never actually visited this location, but I regularly (and obsessively) buy Seattle Bagel Bakery bagels at Red Apple Supermarkets and Uwajimaya. The plain bagels are the best I’ve ever had, and yes, I have been to New York City. So very happy they are thriving in this community.

Soo very good. I always look for boiled bagels. These guys are the real deal. And they have great lox.

Hmmm their smoked salmon bagel lox was too salty. too many capers and lots of onions. I really want to try their different cream cheese spreads and their turkey pesto bagel sandwich looks soo yummy. I would come back to try their other stuff. I love bagels!

Very hard to find. The business location is in a small industrial area behind heavy shrubbery and trees that obstruct to view and address from the street. My GPS was dead on, but I had to drive in circles to find it.
The bagels weren’t that great. Seemed a bit undercooked and doesn’t quite have the taste I was hoping for. There is a taste that goes along with a real NY style bagel. It’s all in the dough.
Anyway, they had the door open and a fan on trying to exhaust the warm air from inside.
It’s a small joint, so don’t expect to find a dining space. It’s a ‘take out’ style location.
Not going back needless to say. I’ll keep searching for other bagel places.

The asiago omlette breakfast sandwich is really good. I was very impressed with the service and how fast they made the food. This is a great place to stop for a quick breakfast!

I order bagels for resale from them. We order Plain, Blueberry, Pizza and the super popular Jalapeño Cheddar. I’m not in a position to toast them, so we serve them warm in a bag with a pack of cream cheese and sell out all the time! The bagels are out of this world! At resale they are affordable and ordering is always helpful and quick.

I recently discovered Seattle Bagel Bakery through Amazon Fresh, which carries most of their bagels online for delivery. I am a lazy bagel girl (with some street cred as a bagel eater, having grown up in NY) and this local discovery originally came out of sheer laziness on my part.
The big reason I ended up trying Seattle Bagel Bakery is that they can be delivered via Amazon Fresh, even for a late PM order, first thing in the AM. Although this was my original reason for trying them out, I was pleasantly surprised at the chewy, boiled texture that I associate with the real deal, and thats what kept me coming back.
After years of Noah’s puffy, bready turbo sized bagels (now branded as Einsteins) it is a welcome change to have that more chewy and traditional, East Coast texture in a bagel.
The bagels here are boiled, old school and topped with sesame, poppy, and everything. They also serve up some fruity Flintstones flavors (blueberry, orange cranberry) and a jalapeño bagel, for those who like to get a little more carried away. For me, a toasted sesame bagel and add some red onion, tomato, organic cucumber, sea salt and cream cheese to that Amazon order, and I am an honorary New Yorker with my bagel in hand, my paper, and in my slippers.
I veer towards traditional when it comes to bagels (with a few select exceptions) and Seattle Bagel Bakery has got me in my sweet spot there, with some good, old school bagelry.
I’m actually starting to consider Amazon Fresh my own personal door-​to-​door bagel delivery service. Thanks again for that bagel, Jeff Bezos.

I recently tried these guys out after buying a groupon for the new Pike Place Market location ( Unilocal moved my review here). My review can’t speak to the bagels (yet), but I tried one of their sandwiches and was thrilled with the discovery. I personally wouldn’t call it a sandwich, it’s more of a personal size calzone with bagel dough instead of traditional pizza crust. I ordered the italian sausage variety, but there were several that looked good. While I was eating it all I could think of was «Wow, this is just like a hot pocket, but not disgusting.» So, if you like the idea and convenience of hot pockets but don’t want to be filled with regret and shame after eating one, try one of the calzone things from Seattle Bagel Bakery. I’ll update once I try their actual bagels (and bagel dogs).
Update 10÷15÷12: Tried the open-​face crab melt on a plain bagel… delicious! It had an artichoke spread, jalapeño, fresh ground pepper, and maybe parmesan. Awesome.

Had a Living Social deal. They have limited hours and are in an odd location (industrial Tukwila…). After finally having found it (it’s not easy to find), was surprised at how tiny it was (I’m sure my bedroom is bigger…).
However in this case, small is fine.
The gal who helped us was super nice. We picked out a dozen bagels (which were good — and we got an assortment of sweet and savory). However, the best thing we got were the bagel chips — we bought a bag of both the sweet and the savory — I would come back here just to buy the bagel chips!

What do I love more than a safeway jalapeño bagel? A seattle bagel bakery PIZZA BAGEL! Love this stuff!

I had been wanting to try Seattle Bagel Bakery bagels, but the abbreviated weekday-​only hours hadn’t been meshing with my schedule. After finally tasting SBB’s wares (purchased at Uwajimaya Renton), I’m going to have to make it a point to get up early and run by the bakery before work! My bagel of choice was the pesto version and proved to be perfectly chewy and dense without being rubbery. Fabulous when toasted!

I bought the Living Social deal for the Seattle Bagel Bakery ($ 5 for a dozen bagels, any standard variety) and I am very glad that I did. These bagels are light and chewy, and taste amazing. Each flavor is enough to taste delicious, but not too much where you’re getting a whole slice of jalapeño in a single bite.
If you didn’t know this place was here like I did, I highly suggest checking it out and you won’t be disappointed: D

SO happy that they opened this shop in Tukwila!!! Bagels are fantastic. Lots of varieties to choose from. Family favorites, garlic, cheese/​bacon and the pesto. We like the flavored cream cheese as an added bonus.
6:30 opening gives us a chance to get in before work because the only downside I can see is that they aren’t open on the weekends, but that’s okay we just plan ahead.
Last but not least, the prepacked assortments for the office are great. Pre-​split and ready to go. Love it!

Bagels on the south end. Yay! And these are real bagels. Credientials: I’m from the midwest, Jewish, and my mom is from New York :).
This is a small, friendly shop where you go in and serve yourself your own bagels from bins. It is easy to get to with plenty of parking.

Lots of good things about this place. The bagels are outstanding, and lots and lots of mouth-​watering varieties. They are open at 6:30 a.m. so it’s easy to stop in and buy a dozen or so to share with the co-​workers. There is plenty of parking. The guy who helped me was super-​friendly, which is very important on those early mornings. Buying here is supporting local small business!

1^st visit today after hearing about it from friends at work. Great place, food is very fresh. Had a bagel sandwich, turkey pesto, $ 6. Price is a little higher than I’d normally like, but the food is so good that it’s worth it. Also had potato salad that bought with the sandwich was $ 2. They also have Uncle Seth’s cookies, bagel packs, coffee, tuna salad, chicken salad, coleslaw, and other similar items. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking, especially compared to the starbucks lot down the street. Will definitely visit regularly.

My 3^rd consecutive bakery review. No, I swear I am not on any binge. Though expect my next review to be another farmers market related one.
I went again this week to the Crossroads Farmers Market (Tuesday 12 – 6:30). When I went last week, I noticed Seattle Bagel Bakery had a stand at the market as well but I was set on getting the macarons at Lilli-​Pilli. So I returned this week to give the bagels a try. I am not sure if Seattle Bagel has a retail outlet or not. Seems like a wholesale bakery mostly, so it is a good thing that I can just go to the farmers market and get these.
They had a good selection at the market. There were numerous bagel packs of four available for $ 3 and $ 5 each in numerous flavors. There were also individual bagels being sold for $ 1 each if you are looking for variety. They also sell pizza bagels for $ 1.50 each.
I went with a pack of the everything bagels ($ 3). And they really are. Poppy seeds, sesame seeds and onion are the most evident. When I brought them home initially, I could smell them from a good distance so they are quite aromatic.
The bagels are kettle boiled before they are oven baked. I could see the difference compared with other bagels I have gotten as the color of the bagels were lighter than typical. And I could taste the difference as well. These bagels are chewy. Even better when toasted. Way better.
Like other bagels, these bagels lose their chewiness as days go by. But unlike some bagels, they did not turn stale and hard to chew the following day. Still relatively good even without a toasting.
I think the bagels at Eltana are better based on texture, but as traditional bagels go, the ones here are near the top of my list because they are great toasted.
