Ate there for the first time about three weeks ago. Walking in the place had only one other customer, so was not sure what to expect. Décor very outdated, crêpe paper chains hanging on walls, dirty looking. Very nice lady serving us. Food was just nice and tasty diner food. Nothing fancy, but filling. I thought a little pricey for the portion served. Try it again? Maybe just once. But will go closer to lunch to see if it is better time of day.

Call this place a hidden gem. I’ve been to the Admiral Grill a few times now and have not been disappointed. Don’t go expecting 5 star food in a quaint tucked away nook. The food is good, solid diner food. Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant. The burgers are good, the chicken fried steak is well made and tasty. Breakfast has been good so far with no disappointments. The owners are about as cordial and lovable as they come, and that makes a lot of difference in my book. Again, this isn’t a bistro/kitchy quirky place… it’s a mom and pop diner and the food reflects that. I will not hesitate to return when I’m in the area and it’s time to eat.

The service was good and the owner was very nice. I had the Gyro and it was very average. I don’t think it was cooked on a vertical spit. The fries were good though. Nice and crispy. I’ll come back again, but will try a burger.

I was passing thru and saw that they had good reviews and tried them. Please, I want everybody either passing thru or living and working in the neighborhood to please come here. The food is excellent and service great. Forget about Burger King and McDonald’s, Admirral’s burgers are the BEST, moist and flavorful.

Unilocaling through Tulsa, we found this place on a Monday evening, most every thing else was closed. We try to avoid the Big Chain restaurants. This Mom and Pop was opened. Mom was super nice. We had the gyro platter and a grilled chicken plate, good food and good prices. As we were finishing our meal Mom sat down with her family and ate. Great to see the family atmosphere. Support local businesses!

Absolutely love this place. It was a little pricey for lunch but what isn’t now days. I ordered the Fish and Chips and my wife ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger. The fish fillet you get is huge and cooked perfectly. My wife also loved the flavor of her burger. The best part however is their service. The owner was super nice and we’ll definitely make a return trip.

I’ve been meaning to review this place for months! It was my saving grace when my husband and I drove across country and had to stop in Tulsa. I picked up breakfast here and not only was it super tasty and fresh, the owners here are the nicest people! It was exactly what I need after arriving the night before and having the WORST pizza of my life!(As I was road weary, pregnant, and starving, this did not endear me to Tulsa!) But Admiral saved me the next morning with a great breakfast sandwich and other food to go for the road. I just wish we would’ve been there on a day to try the specials! As for the restaurant itself, it’s basic and diner-style, which I happen to really like. And it’s family run. One of the owner’s granddaughters was there hanging out as I waited for my order, and her grandmother gave me some pregnancy advice for my itchy belly! ;) If the owners read this, thank you so much for the food and your warmth and hospitality! If I lived nearby, I would come here at least once a week! Do yourself a favor and if you’re in the area– or especially if you’re just passing through looking for good food– *this* is the place to stop. It’s even close to the highway! They’re awesome!

Wednesday’s daily special is chicken shawarma with a side of tabouli. I have never had shawarma before so I tried it. I think most people would recognize it as a chicken wrap. It was very tasty. The service is always quick and very friendly and that will keep me coming back. My only one negative is the tabouli could have a little less parsley in it.

I tried out The Admiral Grill today on the advice of a friend who eats there regularly. I had the hamburger steak over Texas toast smothered in brown gravy, mushrooms, and onions with sides of mashed potatoes ‘n’ gravy and green beans. The portions were fresh, plentiful, and quite tasty. Even the soda cup was double the size you get at most independent grills. The décor is very plain and minimalistic, but the lady running the place was very friendly and cordial and genuinely enjoyed chatting with me and the other patrons in the hall. Not the kind of place I’d drive across town just to eat at(I do live across town), but It’s very close to work and I’m sure I’ll be going back to sample the rest of their menu.
