Aloft Tulsa

We are staying at the aloft as a group and all the families have not had their rooms cleaned for the past three days!!! The trash cans are full, old towels, and trash was built up at the front door. They claim they have wifi but none of us have been able to get it to work. Service desk seems friendly or guest services. They gave me a 5 dollar ticket to use at the expensive snack store for my inconvenience ! Very overpriced for the quality of service you get.

Filthy. Horrible service. And the noise!!! Supposed to stay three weeks. Three hours was too much. And seriously? Do I want to watch my fiancé poop?

Terrible, beds suck, rooms small and marks all over walls in my room on 3^rd floor. They over charged my card 125 $, then 250 $ for having a empty pack of cigarettes in the garage witch they still won’t reembers me. Overall terrible experience and I’m never going back.

Road tripping cross country with a dog — 1 week 6 hotels.
There are a few basics that I want and need from a hotel during this trip. unfortunately from the very moment we stepped foot in the hotel we could tell it was going to be all «show» and no delivery from The Aloft.
While the ambiance is very cool and hip, there were only 2 baggage carts and they were MIA. we waited around with luggage, coolers, a bike, and a dog. After 15 mins I asked the front desk to hold my stuff so I could start a few unloading trips to my room. Only Then did they point out we could have parked the truck around the building near a door that leads to the room…
Ok whatever, moving on to the room —
They all look alike. A bit of a funky layout but the bed was good and that’s all that matters.
The shower and bathroom need a good toothbrush cleaning and that makes you think differently about the rest of the room… Or maybe not, I’m NOT going to think about it!!!
Breakfast — I chose the bed and breakfast option when I booked online. Apparently they are supposed to give vouchers at check in. They did not. So at 6 am I had the pleasure of tracking that down (before coffee, come on guys!!!) I Went to the front desk, asked about the breakfast deal I purchased, and of course they asked for vouchers that were never given to me. I asked the front desk clerk to pull up my account which apparently said nothing about my purchase of bed and breakfast. The front desk clerk asked to see my confirmation (because you seriously don’t have that info on the computer?! Really???). I had the pleasure of walking back to my room to get my phone to pull up my email confirmation to show the front desk guy and then finally received the breakfast voucher.
But breakfast was ok with healthy options. I appreciate that.
Overall I say this Hotel tries way to hard to fit the hipster fad with neon lights and imported DJ’s and not enough effort trying to be a solid hotel that begins with the 3 C’s:
Clean
Comfortable
Customer service.
To the W Hotel, your «vision» is lacking the bones that really define a good solid hotel. I expected more from you.

By far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The people in the room above us were stomping around all night, waking up me, my wife, and our 2 year old baby. We called the front desk, and even went down to talk to them at 2:30 AND 3:30 in the morning and they refused to do anything about it. Now, I’m not talking about your casual walking about your room. I mean Phil Collins drum solo style stomping. At 3 in the morning! And the front desk said they couldn’t do anything about it since they had already called them and politely asked them to stop, and told me they couldn’t get involved in a guests personal business. Sheesh.

Location was convenient. Not in the heavy traffic of downtown, but still close to dining and shopping. However, we wouldn’t stay here again. The walls are paper thin — I could literally hear the room next to me unzipping luggage (or a purse or maybe their jeans — eek) and turning pages in a book. We also had several towels and linens with stains and the shower was one of those nightmare «hot. cold. hot. aaaahhhh finally it’s comfortable. just kidding, SCALD YOU» experiences. I reported the issue to the front desk and his response? «Interesting». So very helpful!

Nice hotel, very clean and great staff. Pool tables down stairs were nice. Our room was not completely stocked with the usual but we called the front staff and they were accommodating.

The aloft hotel in Tulsa charges way too much for how disgusting and horrible it is. Our first night here there was mold and water in the shower upon our arrival, so they moved us to a new room. In the new room, things were missing (like soap, lotion, coffee, and the bottle of water that was in the first room). Oh, and the elevator walls and doors were covered in sticky handprints. Tonight will be our 3^rd night here, and we couldn’t even park in the hotel parking lot. There literally isn’t one single space available. We had to carry our baby in her car seat from two lots away from the hotel all the way to the entrance to then be told by security that because there is a birthday party going on inside, we cannot enter through that door and would have to use the side entrance halfway around the building. So, we finally get into the building and get up the elevator to our floor and walk into our room to find out that housekeeping never came today. AWESOME! So, I called front desk, he brought us up some towels to our dirty room and told us we could have some free food from their shitty breakfast bar in the morning. (No thanks, I would rather have McDonald’s) If you want a cleaner environment where you get housekeeping and can even park in the hotel parking lot, don’t stay at Aloft in Tulsa. I suggest trying the nearest motel 6, or sleeping in your vehicle.

I was trying to stay at a Starwood property bcuz I’m an SPG member but this place ruined Aloft hotels for me. The Mattress on one of the beds in the room was actually damp/​wet which was creepy-​gross (the bed looked normally made until you got into it). There was still some garbage under the other bed. We had to pay cash bcuz their system was down, unless we wanted to give them the #cc number to write down somewhere and later destroy. I’m surprised this is a Starwood Property.

Attention Hipsters! Dirty isn’t Hip. We were comfortable and disappointed at the same time. Room was quiet enough and we have always liked the simplicity of the W style. The front desk was friendly and got us checked in just fine.
My complaint would be cleanliness and care.
The whole place shows a tired, worn look of something that is not taken care of.

Definitely the coolest architecture and design. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. The shower was roomy and I loved the waterfall showerhead. It was good service from the front desk with polite staff. They seemed very caring. I would recommend this to anyone. Family friendly yet romantic also if needed.

This Aloft is the worst one I’ve ever booked. I was very disappointed. Staff didn’t dress professional and I’m not sure they knew what they were doing. They also couldn’t find my reservation even though I showed them the confirmation number from the email on my phone.
Too bad so many hotels were booked this weekend, I’d stay at the one downtown.

This Aloft is the most rundown that I’ve stayed at. It’s disappointing to see this brand tarnished by dirty rooms beat up walls dirty hallways and just a general uncleanliness and worn out look.
The evening staff was rude and seemed bothered when asked a question.

I do like the wide open lobby that provides a relatively seamless transition from lobby, (pantry?) and bar.
I guess the rooms could be construed as trendy. Reminds me of a European dorm room. Not uncomfortable, rather economically efficient. I liked the walk in shower and the dispensers for shampoo and body wash are a good idea. If you are sharing a room, be sure it’s with someone you like because the wall between the shower and room is glass. It’s cloudy, but leaves little to the imagination.
Biggest bummer, breakfast is not free. While I didn’t dislike the property, for comparable prices one could find a bit more comfortable room with free breakfast. I’d say there’s only a 50% chance I’d stay at another Aloft.

I’m very meticulous about hotel reviews, however this place did it for me. Traveling with a group of co-​workers we rolled in around 11pm. The customer service attendants at the desk were friendly and did a very overwhelming job of making sure we got the best rate possible. We had my Australian Shepard with us and they even did everything they could to make the dog feel at home. The room was very modern and the shampoo and soap dispenser in the bathroom are not your classic terrible smelling stuff, it’s the real deal. The property overall, very well maintained. The hotel is behind a strip mall with various department stores and I might add is in a safe area of town, from other reviews it is best to avoid the northside. For a 2 week business roadtrip, this has by far been the best find and would stay again.

So cool and so reasonably priced!
Love the rooms, how they’ve designed every detail just a little different than what you’d see at a regular hotel. Cool reception area, like you’re walking into a restaurant (which you kind of are, there is a bar there) but instead of the standard long desk against a wall for reception, it’s a kind of circular check in counter thats just a little less stuffy.
The rooms are cool, with everything you’d need/​want out of a hotel (fridge, hangers, desks, phone, tables, TV, coffee machine, etc.) but arranged logically (kitchen stuff near water source, hanging area across from big wide mirror). Desks were perfect for studying, and bed was big and comfy. Very modern design, also very clean and neat. Loved it! Would stay again in a heartbeat, and very reasonably priced!

Ant issue in room 415. Live and dead ants all over the wall next to bed. Seems like it was a known issue, as the front desk person had a response ready with ant spray.
We were first told that there wasn’t a substitutable room, then front desk got us to a king bed room on the first floor @ 2AM from our two queen bed room on the fourth floor. We were then provided with two breakfast vouchers.
Cool hotel. Disappointing ant experience…

If I was a visitor to Tulsa (rather than living here), this is the spot where I’d most likely choose to stay.
1) It’s clean and modern. Nothing seems to be overdone and frilly or over-​the-​top like some hotels. This is a brand that seems to have me in mind as the target customer… and they have my attention. Everything is so sleek, simple yet functional… and most of all– modern.
2) It’s location is excellent… in most ways. There might be a few places slightly more prime for those who don’t have access to a car, but this place is right around all of the things that are so friendly to visitors with enough to see and all of the comforts you would hope for. Some exceptions:
–If your business is downtown, you’re better served to explore the options downtown.
–If you’ll be spending more time in midtown, there’s a cluster of hotels around 33^rd and Memorial (though none are superior that I know of).
–If you’re wanting to go crazy and splurge and be in this area, the nearby Renaissance is also good, but less my style.
3) It’s chill. You can have a dog, for example. Many of the ideas here are very relaxed. Once, I stayed at another hotel and a guest to my room was questioned and treated somewhat awkwardly. Could not imagine that happening here.
Great hotel; check it out if you’re looking for nice accommodation in South Tulsa!

This place was AWESOME! Trendy, friendly service, clean, ACCEPTS DOGS and even gives you a little treat /​toy gift on check in, they have a heated pool and jacuzzi as well and their breakfast selection was pretty great and tasty.
Final Verdict:
Definitely a keeper!

This was my first stay at an Aloft hotel. I’m a professed Marriott snob, but I had Starwood points to burn, so my sissy and I opted to stay here. It’s a modern contemporary hotel with swag. The Aloft hotels aim to attract the youthful hipster who wants to preserve the sexy. I loved the simple yet thoughtfully decorated lobby and snack area. And the open bar/​lounge area concept was genius. It gives off feelings of happy thoughts and endless libations!
The rooms are smaller than the average room I’ve stayed in, but offered upbeat and borderline retro modern touches. Loved the bliss bar products offered in the vanity area. Not the most comfortable beds, but they were decent.
Service was super friendly and very accommodating. There was always a warm smile to greet us at the front desk.
The location was also quite nice, as its off 71 and nearby many eateries. The Woodland Hills mall is nearby, I was happy to find the Cheesecake Factory there. It has to be the best thing going for Tulsa — IMHO. That and Utica Square. Another great restaurant not too far from the Aloft that I highly recommend is Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar. The ambiance is wonderful, the flatbread pizza is amazing, and the service is top notch. If nothing else, make your way to Braums for some super cheap ice cream 24 hours/​7 days a week.
