In our Spa we specialize in: all Waxing, all Massages including Couple Massages, Facials, Eyelash Extensions, Manicures and Pedicures, Paraffin Wax treatments, Sugar scrubs, Steam Shower and Geisha tub.

In our Full Service Salon we specialize in: Extensions, Brazilian weaves, Ladies and Men’s Haircuts and Styling, Natural Hair, Braids, and Keratin Straightening Treatments, Round Brush, Dreadlocks, Relaxers, Short and Long Hair. We specialize in all textures of hair.

History

Established in 2011.

Back in 2011 there was need for a full service spa and salon in the heart of downtown Tulsa. With the revitalization taking downtown and movement of people to this are of town J’nar Spa and Salon wanted to be at the forefront of relaxation. We started our business with the intent of being the go to relaxation spot. We wanted to service the downtown area for hard working business owners, professionals, and people traveling through the Tulsa area.

Located in the heart of downtown in the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel we are the ultimate getaway spot for all your pampering needs.

Meet the Business Owner

Janar G.

Business Owner

Janar Green is from sunny California but spent the majority of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma finishing her education, having a successful career, and raising a beautiful family. From a young woman she knew beauty was her passion and obtained certifications in Cosmetology, Hair Styling, Coloring, and Spa Treatments. Her 20 year career has included everything from consulting, television appearances, to owning her own salons. Her salons have achieved acclaim through her innovative styling and coloring techniques, a talented staff which she groomed, and their reputations for excellence.

Janar’s expansive education resulted in numerous licenses and qualifications: Cosmetology License; Fusion Hair Extension Specialist; Master Colorist /Corrective Colorist; Licensed Esthetician; Pivot Point Cutting Certified; Redkin Certified Colorist; Paul Mitchell Certified Colorist; and Goldwell Color Certified Colorist.

I called for 2 appointments back to back for a wash & blow out one day and then a blow out and style the second day for my sons wedding. On the first day J’nar did a good job on blowing out my hair & we discussed how she would do my hair the next day. I said I’d see her at 10:00 the next day & left. The next day I arrived at 10:00 — no one was there. At 10:15 the receptionist showed up & I told her I was there for my 10:00 appointment. She said that just after I left yesterday, J’nar told her to change the appointment to noon. I told the receptionist I did not receive a phone call in my room at the Hyatt or on my cell phone. I was suppose to be with the bridal wedding party by noon. My husband had to be with the groomsman at noon as well. I left, thought about it & called her back to cancel the appointment. I couldn’t believe a hair salon in the Hyatt Regency would be this unprofessional. This left me trying to fix my own hair just hours before the wedding. I did the best I could but didn’t feel that great about it. I haven’t seen the pictures yet & hope it looks ok. At my daughter’s wedding in Phoenix I received compliments on my hair & it really makes you feel good. There was no compliments at my sons wedding. I learned the following: 1) find out if the hair stylist will have a back up person if something should come up & they can’t do it, 2) have the receptionist read back to me the telephone number they wrote down when you gave your number to them to be sure it’s correct. If I’d known earlier, I could have made other arrangements. Wedding days are very scheduled — there is no room for last minute changes. J’nair should know that & if she couldn’t make it, she should have had someone fill the position.

Terrible – and I didn’t even get to experience their services. I made a last-minute men’s hair appointment on the day of checkout, and they were happy to offer me a 2:30pm or a 3pm appointment. I chose the latter, but at 2:50, they called my room and canceled, claiming that the only person who could do this was «stepping out» for a bit. Really? They couldn’t have known that an hour before when I made the appointment? Instead, they suggested I go to Supercuts. That’s a joke.
When I checked out at 3:45, I noticed that there were three spa employees just standing around chatting. When I told the hotel desk concierge about the situation, he was embarrassed. I was for them, too.

I had a pedi emergency. I had a black tie affair to attend, and I had been working all week. I had no time to get a pedi prior to the event, and I needed one because my dress shoes were not closed toe. I had just flown in to Tulsa for this event, and prayed they had a shop in the Hyatt where the event was being held. When I inquired about a shop, the concierge pointed me to J’nar, and they took me in right away. Not only were they accommodating and very nice, but they did a great job for the 15-minute time frame they had to work with. The facility was surprisingly beautiful, and the atmosphere was relaxing. By the time they were done, I was not stressing anymore. I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this place for their professionalism and quality of care.

Do NOT go here. I went because I was staying in the hotel. They literally butchered my eyebrows. I had beautifully shaped full brows and asked for them to be left as thick as possible. He left me with uneven brows shaved down to look like a bad stencil drawing. The WORST case scenario I could ever have imagined!!! If I could give zero stars I would.

Beautiful facilities, one of the most relaxing places in Tulsa. I got a facial and a massage from Todd Allen Lloyd, as well as a hair cut and color by Janar Green. Both were friendly, comforting and very skilled at what they do! I also spent a few minutes in the geisha tub which is relaxation at its finest. HIGHLY recommended!
