This was not only the worst dental experience of my life but it was also the worst experience I’ve had with any medical procedure. It was more money out of pocket than my previous 4 surgeries. Which I understood going into it but when you spend over 5 grand for a dental procedure you expect to be treated with utmost patience, care and respect. I was told I would be given a 5 percent discount if paid for the whole procedure up front. Then they called me back later and said that’s not what they told me(even though it was) but that I had to pay for the entire treatment plan(approx 12 grand) up front to get the discount. The procedure took about 3 hours and the«sedation» pills they gave me that were supposed to have an amnesia effect didn’t work well, if at all. I was fully aware of everything that was happening to me the entire time. I had to ask for more drugs and more numbing at least twice. They were so rough with their instruments that they tore the corner of my mouth open. They put glasses on me that doctor anchored his hand on a good part of the time and crushed the glasses into the bridge of my nose. I was constantly trying to readjust to alleviate the discomfort but I was told not to move. I overheard them arguing about not getting things done right and subsequently getting rougher and rougher and with their instruments. When it came time to suture I could feel the needle pushing through my gums and winced in pain and said I could feel it. I was just told that they were almost done. I was leaving the initial procedure by wheelchair after a traumatic and painful ordeal and was stopped at the front desk by the office manager who was beyond rude and was acting like a child because I didn’t have the cash on me(even though I had a check with me I forgot to deposit over the weekend that was meant to pay for the procedure that I showed them). I told them I could sign the check over to them which I was rudely told no. So I told them they would just have to wait and she said they needed the money because«people have tried to stiff them on payment before». Insinuating that’s what I was going to try and do. I returned later that day with the money while feeling terrible just so I didn’t have hear about it later. Two days later was my follow up appointment where the doctor discovered one of his sutures had fallen out and asked if I wanted to be numbed up, I said I felt all the other ones so I don’t know if it mattered to which he responded by calling me a liar and telling me that I never said anything but that I was doing fine. I told him I didn’t appreciate that and asked if I needed to go somewhere else to have the rest of this done to which he responded«that’s your choice but I doubt anyone else knows how to deal with any of this work». After he put the sutures in I went to front desk and asked about a two hundred dollar charge for«non-intravenous sedation». This charge was for administering a pill that I had bought, paid for, and brought with me as well as oxygen and an oxygen sensor. They were visibly upset that I had asked them about this and I asked them why they had such an attitude to which they responded by getting more upset. One girl left the room and the other girl was throwing charts down and storming around the office like a child. It was the most shocking thing I had ever seen by a group of «professionals». I was not in a good mood but I also was not being mean or hateful in any way but rather voicing my concern about the procedure and how I had been treated. I left because I was too disgusted to even talk further with them after such a horrible interaction. I will never step foot in their office again. It will be months to be see whether the work will even take so I can’t comment on that part. I can just say their bedside and business manner is that of a spoiled child and I would stay away from this business.
