Established in 2013.

Shadow Mountain Honey Company is an urban

honey company operated by the Deming family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Starting with just 2 hives in 2013 we produced our first honey in June of 2014. Our now 15 hives are located in our backyard, and the backyards of friends and family. We produce small batches of pure raw honey & honey comb with no added ingredients. The honey is coarse filtered to remove bits of wax and then bottled for your eating pleasure. Honey comb can be consumed either by itself or spread on a biscuit or toast, its yummy!

Business Owner

James Deming was raised in Pryor, Oklahoma, attended college at Oklahoma State University, and moved Tulsa, OK in 2002. He got in to the beekeeping business in 2013 with 2 bee hives, and has grown to 15 hives in 2014 with plans for 30 hives in 2015.
