Absolutely terrible dealings here, was seriously interested in buying a Jeep and when I informed the sales guy (Richard) that I was shopping at other places also he became short, rude, and refused to help. Long story short ended up spending $ 50k plus at another dealership… good job Richard.

I bought a brand new Dodge Challenger here and had a very specific wishlist. I ended up having to have them get the car from Arkansas so I could buy it through them. They were great up until the point I went to sign paperwork.
I had gotten an interest rate from my bank already and when I went in to talk to financing here, I told them they needed to do better or I’d just finance through my personal bank. They came back with a higher rate and then the finance guy seemed angry when I didn’t accept it. His response was– «Well I’ll need a check right now then.»
They wouldn’t get the car until they had a check in hand. Every good dealership I’ve ever been to would get the car to their lot before they had the money… He was also very unhappy about the fact that I didn’t waste money on the extended warranties. He tried to tell me that the car’s computer would probably break in the first five years and that I would need to be covered for that. I told him it better not break because that would be a really crappy car. I I knew finance guys are usually jerks though so I blew it all off– I came out with what I wanted even if he wasn’t happy about it.
I got them their check a couple of days later and they got the car there a couple of days after that. I checked the car out and everything seemed fine. They had driven it a couple hundred miles to get it there but everything was spotless.
I got across town before the check engine light came on. They had to have noticed on the 200+ mile drive. I took it back the next morning and waited a few hours before they told me it was just the gas cap loose and they’d reset the code. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t the gas cap so I let it sit at idle in the parking lot for a bit. Maybe 5 minutes passed and there it was again.
They have the nicest service reps, by the way, so I do not want to slam them, however dealerships often hire young kids to do the actual work and people with good personalities who look like they know what they’re doing to run messenger between them and you. I suspect it was either because of this or because someone was trying to pull the wool over my eyes that they still insisted it was the gas cap and tried simply resetting it again. The service rep tested it in idle herself this time and it came back on.
After wasting half my Saturday sitting in their lobby, they got me a loaner car and I got my car back two weeks later… According to them, it was either the catalytic converter or the computer. They replaced one and hard reset the other. I have no idea if this is true or not but I finally got it back and there was no check engine light. When I got my car back though, it had a quarter tank less of gas in it than when I had brought it in. My salesman started ignoring me when I got in touch with him to complain. I guess he thought it was too late to do anything or just didn’t care.
This same car, at 40,000 miles had a pretty major oil leak (it’s supposedly common on the engine in the car) and they would not provide a loaner. That was the only reason I took it back to them was so I could get something else to drive while they fixed it. It took them 3 days to fix it even though it’s a 1 day or less fix according to the service rep when I dropped it off… Never will I buy a car or get mine repaired through them again. I’ve heard Chris Nickel is much MUCH better. I recommend taking your business there or somewhere else instead.

The service department is TERRIBLE. I have bought 3 brand new cars from them but never again nor will I take another vehicle to their pathetic service department. They fail to do the simplest tasks in a timely manner. They don’t honor appointments made online. This review not based on one experience but on several visits with similar disappointing

*WARNING! WARRANTY WARNING!* We bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sahara brand new at South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge. We did not care to get the extended warranty but the guy in financing told us that if we never used the warranty we would get all of our money back (not a prorated amount). He even highlighted in the paperwork where it said that. So, we paid $ 2700 for the extended warranty that we didn’t want in the first place. Flash forward to this year. We traded in the Jeep to buy a truck. We had never used the warranty. We called South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge to get our money back for the warranty. Julia Matulis told us that since we didn’t keep the warranty for the whole time we would only get 27% of what we paid back. The warranty was for 6 years, 72,000 miles. We had it for 5 years, 50,000 miles. WE WERE NEVER TOLD WE HAD TO KEEP THE WARRANTY UNTIL IT EXPIRED TO GET 100% OF THE MONEY BACK. We were told if we never used the warranty, we would get 100% of what we paid back. I drove there to talk to Julia Matilus in person. I showed her where the finance guy had highlighted saying we were getting 100% back. She told us that if it were their other finance guy she would believe that he lied and she would do something about it but not the one we had because she had known him for 5 years and he would never mislead us. She said its a he-​said/​she-​said matter and she believes him, not us. He told us we would get 100% of the money we paid back. He skipped over the fine print saying we had to keep it for the life of the warranty to get the 100% back and purposefully mislead us. Now they refuse to help us in rectifying this matter. We will NEVER purchase from company’s who hide things in small print, blatantly lie to us, and treat us with such disrespect. We would have gladly referred all friends and family to buy from South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge but now I will never. Julia Matilus and everyone else we talked to about this matter have been extremely rude and unhelpful.

Atrocious service. Was told my repairs should be complete by noon. Gave up my work truck all day. By 5:00 pm my vehicle had not even been pulled in the bay. The «service specialist» could not even look up from the counter at me as he mumbled a pro forma apology. Will never set foot on the property again. Stay away from this dealership!
