Providing excellence in Aeronautics Instruction since 1928, Spartan trains pilots and aviation technicians. Spartan has two schools located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the Los Angeles Area of California.
Depending on campus location, Spartan offers programs in professional pilot training, aviation maintenance, aviation electronics and non-destructive testing. The college also offers associate of applied science and a bachelor s degree. Its enrolls more than 1,300 full-time students. The college participates in federal student aid programs. The types and amounts of financial aid awarded are determined by financial need. The college has a more than 300,000-square-foot training area. The college is approved by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private and Vocational Schools.
History
Established in 1928.
William G. Skelly, a Tulsa oilman and owner of Spartan Aircraft Company, founded the Spartan School of Aeronautics in October of 1928. Now, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, provides diplomas and degrees in aviation and nondestructive testing programs.
