We specialize in custom made prosthetics (artificial limbs) and orthotics (orthopedic braces).

We are locally owned with a clinic in Tulsa and Muskogee. Our practitioners are nationally certified.

Our motto is «We put the Care in Patient Care» and we try to live up to it.

History

Established in 2006.

After over a decade of managing O&P businesses for others, in 2006 I finally opened my own. We started with a location at 25^th and Sheridan but immediately found out it was too small and relocated to our present location at 10 338 E 21^st St. Since then we have expanded the space twice and now have a 4000 sq ft facility. Half of it is a state of the art fabrication lab. The remaining patient and office areas are designed to be welcoming rather than «medical»

We recently opened a facility in Muskogee at 2019 W Broadway Ave to better serve our veterans and other clients to the south who appreciate not having to deal with Tulsa traffic.

Business Owner

My father was a self employed veterinarian and I grew up helping in the «family business». I «discovered» orthotics and prosthetics after college while working at a rehabilitation center. Finding it fascinating, I applied to UCLA for their O&P Certification Program. Time has flown and I am now a state licensed and nationally certified Orthotist and Prosthetist with over twenty years of experience.

Having managed O&P facilities for both large and mid sized companies I always missed that «family business» atmosphere. After much soul searching and discussion with my wife, we started Specialty Prosthetics and Orthotics ten years ago. It has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done.

With the help of Jim and Gidget, two wonderful employees who have been here since day one, plus Dorothy, also wonderful, who joined us early on, and everyone since, we have been able to help improve many lives. The most rewarding part is many of those people we now call friends,
