We started going to this place when it first opened but the quality has gone down from there. I went here for lunch the other day. I found a hair in my tacos. The waitress took it off my check and offered to bring me a new plate but I was already grossed out. Never going here again!

This place has an inventive menu full of creativity and imagination. Everything on the menu looks and sounds awesome. With that in mind, I would rate the menu and food five stars. The reason I am giving it three stars overall is due to the inattentive service for which this place is famous. After being sat at a table last Saturday and not even so much as being acknowledged by the waiter who has his back to me spitting game a table of nice looking ladies,(which, hey man, I get it), I grabbed my menus and bellied up to the bar in search of the attention any patron should receive. Let’s just say my fortune was only slightly improved which is unfortunate because your bar staff are typically supposed to be your most competent people. Look, the place is awesome overall but the service doesn’t reflect upon the establishment very well at all. I love the concept and I love the menu so I hope the service is brought further inline with everything else so you guys can be around for a looooong time to come.

Great food and super fun drink menu! However, i have been here a few times and the SERVICE has been HORRIBLE every time. My advice: sit at the bar and you will have no complaints

Early Friday evening, a few tables & the bar were busy. Wonderful staff, friendly & accommodating. Our waiter, David, was awesome. We took a patio table overlooking OneOk Field. Oldies wafted from the speakers. I hate to be redundant about atmosphere & location — both are great IMHO. Hubby really wanted the loaded fries, and when we couldn’t decide, David said, «Hey, it’s Happy Hour. You can order them @ ½ price.» It was really later than that, but what a great sell! We ordered that as an app and Yumladas & Pulled Pork Tacos. @ full price the loaded fries are $ 10.49. The menu says they’re served w/«red chili cilantro ranch sauce». I have no idea what that is as we didn’t get any. Hubby immediately received the Caesar he’d ordered. It was a tart little salad w/sliced almonds. He said he missed anchovies. Then the lovely, greasy, cheesy fries arrived, topped w/bacon & jalapeños w/ranch. David wisely provided extra ranch. My Rusty Rita tasted like more. So good it sneaks up on you. I had to ask for Rusty Dust for the fries. Spicy! Careful inspection revealed cayenne in seasoned salt, like Lawry’s. You can see in the pix that hubby’s «queso» had started to coagulate. «.. . Creamy house queso and topped w/lettuce& pico». You decide. My pork tacos were like cute street tacos, double corn shells filled w/pork & sliced avocado. «.. . griddled corn tortillas and top them w/red onion, sliced avocado, lime & cilantro.» A finer diced on the onion would’ve been appreciated. So would’ve some cilantro. You can see where I salted. If we hadn’t had ranch, I would’ve asked for sour cream. I sliced the generous chunks of avocado. We absolutely loved the rice/beans(black) w/cilantro. However we agreed there was something a tad off about the salsa. Of course we required a go box. Was I impressed! I got separate containers in fitting sizes for leftover ranch & the rice/beans. And I confess, when hubby wasn’t hungry 2 days later, I had a brunch of rice/beans & a pork taco which held up to reheating. I had drowned the avocado in lime & it too held up. Added Crema & was in heaven. Why four? Three for food + one for atmosphere and staff. I’d say that’s pretty good. I’d go back. There was a good mix of patrons. I checked their wine prices & felt they were average. Live music would be fun. Yes, the cocktails are $ 7/$ 10. But, unlike some prior reviews, I thought they were GOOD drinks. You get what you pay for. And there’s always Happy Hour! You know this place is popular. By 6:30 the patio was nearly full.

I actually really like to visit Rusty Crane when I’m in the area. The fish tacos were okay, but for some reason I love their turkey burger, their rusty dusted fries, and how is their caesar salad so good? It doesn’t even have croutons in it but almonds. Their chicken pasta is also huge and delicious. Variety of beers is pretty good. They usually have the Tank 7 on draft, a good IPA, and another Boulevard beer or two :) Definitely a nice spot to visit whenever I’m in town and would recommend to anyone wanting a chill dinner place.

The location, patio, and atmosphere are all nice. Food has been great most of the time. I want to like this place, so I’ve tried it about 5 times and every time I wish I had gone somehwere else because the service is so terrible. Examples: Getting seated and waiting 15 minutes for someone to ask what you want to drink. Or getting your food and wanting ketchup for your fries but the server forgets and you don’t see them again to remind them until your food is already cold. If you want to go chill on the patio and spend hours casually drinking then I suppose this is a good spot for that. But showing up hungry ready for dinner, it’s a very frustrating experience.

They have a great and spacious patio. Perfect for watching Drillers fireworks! The food is pretty good. They have a good selection. They also have a nice up stairs area that can be reserved for large groups!

Another gem in downtown Tulsa. I go here for their WINGS!!! Try the Amatucci flavor, you won’t be disappointed! The wings are HUGE! I even get a side of sweet potato fries as well! The location and parking is easy. The service is quick, especially when you are on a lunch hour time crunch!

Local fun and flavor! I love that everything about Rusty Crane is so Tulsa-centric, from the local art for sale on the walls to the fun Tulsa-themed drinks at the bar. The Crane is a great place to catch live music, brunch or grab dinner and drinks before a Drillers game. They have strong patio game, so busy summer nights you need to get in early. You can also have your dog out on the patio, which is nice. They have a pretty robust menu, so even the pickiest of eaters can probably find something. I love their apps – lots of southwest flavor – and the chips and salsa are served in A HUGE bowl, so a great option for sharing. I’m personally a big fan of the cheese fries and the black bean quesadilla, both served with a good dose of spicy-ness and their signature«rust dust». For the more dinner-inclined, I’m a big fan of both the salads and the wraps, but I don’t think you’ll really go wrong. Brunch is also a great time for Crane with $ 2 mimosas!!! The brunch menu is no where near as big as the normal menu, but there are some yummy options, my fav being the tacos.

We sat outside because I had my dog with me. The server was very sweet to my dog and brought some water out for him. I had breakfast tacos, they were pretty delicious. The outdoor sitting area was very cute and had plenty of seating.

Friendly bartenders and servers. Wide selection of beer and food. I’m here for happy hour and had the lettuce wraps, fantastic value for $ 4. Really cool place to hang out, not a lot of parking that I can tell. 4 stars, solid place to be.

This place has really made some improvements over the past year. It has definitely become one of my favorites and a go-to spot. I have’t had any complaints on wait time for food in quite some time. The bartenders are always great, helpful and quick, not to mention talented in their art! ;) They’ve made more additions to the menu or at least changes. Everything I have ever had here has been delicious. There has been a FEW communications issues from wait staff to kitchen staff but nothing memorable enough to mention or hinder my opinion. This place is perfect for a date, I highly recommend it!

Really liked this place. I had been wanting to try it for some time and had always heard great things. While it doesn’t seem all that inviting from the street, this place makes up for it after walking through the door. Great ambiance and very clean. I tried the pulled pork tacos and they did not disappoint. Very tasty in every way. Service was pretty good, although not stellar. I’ll be visiting this place again soon!

We had been wanting to try Rusty Crane for a while and finally made it over this past weekend. Our overall impression — surprisingly just ok. The atmosphere gets 4 stars. I love when people take the old, unused buildings downtown and put them to good use again while retaining that historic charm. This place has a warehouse feel that is cozy while still being open. They have a full bar area and outdoor patio which is awesome. My only complaint is that it was quite loud. The service also gets a thumbs up. Our server Ronnie was super, just one of those people you instantly have to like. He even gave us our appetizer on the house! The hostesses were also very kind and we only had to wait for a few minutes even on a busy Friday night. The food was where we were disappointed. I ordered the mango fish tacos, my husband ordered the burger and fries, and our friend ordered the stir fry. We all agreed that it was ok at best. Everything just tasted sort of bland. We did enjoy our appetizer — the cowboy queso. But the salsa was barely even salsa, more like mashed up tomatoes. Our cocktails on the other hand were very yummy, but SO expensive. I ordered the St. Asti — a drink with gin and St. Germaine. I would definitely get this again. My husband ordered the Wrecking Ball — a whiskey drink and he liked that as well. But at $ 10 a pop! Too much for a drink in Tulsa. I would try the Rusty Crane again but I’m not going to seek it out. I would probably be more likely to come here for drinks or an appetizer than a full meal.

I’ve always been impressed with the RC. From how they support local musicians and artists, to their food: it’s quite the setup. The design inside is cool. Cool lighting, cool local art, cool industrial feel, cool bar, COOLUPSTAIRSPATIO… Let’s talk more about this patio for a second. You will feel like you’re in a Lifetime movie that’s just ending happily. With strung bulb lights and a killer view, you’ll be happy; pinky promise. As mentioned, the RC supports local music. I’ve seen a couple shows here and am amazed at how the acoustics work to be able to still have a conversation without yelling but still enjoy the live music. I love to grab a cold beer here; there are plenty of options. Food-wise, I like to get down with the Party Melt burger. The grilled rye bread tickles my tastebuds. Catering is also killer here! What party doesn’t need a build your own nachos showcased?! The owner, Lee, is a passionate Tulsan who is so involved in the community and his biz. He really wants his customers to be happy and make Tulsa a better place!

Too bad we cant do .5 stars. This place is 4.5. Had lunch here with my cousin after she suggested it. I had heard of it, but had not yet been. The location seemed in kind of a weird spot. After walking it I could see the place was clean and laid out well. A very nice looking bar setup on the north side of the building. We were seated and placed drink orders. When it was time for food I went with the pulled pork tacos after reading a review here on Unilocal. That was a good call. The tacos were great, the beans and rice were great. The salsa with the chips looked questionable, but it was very flavorful. The servers were great too. Drinks topped off when needed, plates picked up, extra lemons offered for my tea. I could find nothing wrong with it. The only reason for not 5 stars is the location and outside of the building doesn’t do anything to draw you in. I will be back here for sure though.

The Rusty Crane is a new favorite! Perfect location downtown near the driller’s stadium. Went last night, had to park a few blocks away because a driller’s game was going on but it was no big deal, the weather was so nice. We had a party of 8 and were on the list to sit inside but it was so nice out and there was a big table available so we ate on the patio. Good choice because we ended our dinner watching a fantastic fireworks show after the baseball game. The fireworks show was so spectacular it was like the 4th of July! Most of us had the Rusty Ritas-really good margaritas with a touch of brandy-very good flavor. A couple of people had the beers. I am not a fan of sweet drinks and this margarita was not. Just perfect. They had lots of appealing appetizers but we dove straight into our entrees. I had the Signature Yumlada, seasoned chicken sauteed with red and yellow bell peppers, garlic, red onions, spinach, black beans and cheese in a tomato basil tortilla topped with alfredo sauce. It normally comes with fresh fruit but I had beans and chips and salsa on the side instead. There was so much food my friend had to help me eat it. My husband had the patty melt with fries and he said it was great. One couple split the meatloaf and loved it. Wide variety of great foods-it was hard to choose. For dessert our table split the Brownie Sundae and the 3 layer chocolate cake. Delicious. Our waitress, Sarah was so attentive and accommodating-she really took care of us. Everyone that worked there was super friendly. Loved the atmosphere, the inside was a warehouse look and the bar looked really nice. They have a great looking brunch menu and they also cater. Definitely will be back soon, can’t believe it took me so long to try this place! It’s going to be a really fun spot to frequent this summer with the great foodm drinks and patio.

The Rusty Crane is in my most humblest of opinions… a most excellent place to go! It was in the year of our Lord, two thousand and fifteen on a warm February, Friday afternoon. I was headed to get some lunch and found myself parked in front of The Rusty Crane. The Rusty Crane is located in Downtown Tulsa on North Detroit Ave. When I walked in I immediately liked the look of things. They have a great setup with great décor! They feature local artists’ work on their walls and I was very impressed with what I saw. When I walked in a very friendly, smiling host with a long red beard sat me immediately. My waitress was there shortly and took my drink order. When she returned with my sweet tea in a Mason jar I asked her for recommendations since it was my first visit. She suggested the Mango Fish Tacos and so after some contemplation I went with that. When my order came out I of course took pictures first. My waitress brought me some Red Chili Cilantro Ranch for my Crane Fries and after I added a little extra Rusty Dust to my fries I dug in. Everything was excellent! If you haven’t already been here I definitely recommend it! I was too full to try any of their desserts but everything sounded amazing! I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve had The Rusty Crane bookmarked FOREVER. This past week, a friend who had moved to China came back to the US for the first time in years. Perfect opportunity(excuse) to get some good olé’ American bar food. We got there at 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn’t too busy(and parking was no problem!). The patio is really cute(note to self, come back when this Oklahoma summer is gone), but we chose to sit inside(again, gross Oklahoma summer). I loved the tables with modge-podge-d old pictures from the 50s(although it’s kind of creepy to look at pictures of people who are now potentially dead while you eat). I got the loaded french fries($ 9) — nommm. I really like how they used THICK cut fries and added seasoning salt before piling on the cheese. Only complaint was how there wasn’t that much bacon. These fries were good, but I’m still going to say The Brook’s are better when it comes to toppings. My friend got the«Pick 2»(really more like«Pick 3») lunch deal and got a cheese quesadilla with a side of nachos and cheese and a bowl of the soup of the day — watermelon gazpacho soup(with mint?) and topped with feta cheese. I grimaced when the waitress described it, but when I tried it, it was actually pretty decent. Light and refreshing — perfect for a hot day. I didn’t try them, but the quesadilla and nachos didn’t look that great… like something you’d give your 5 year old. We also got drinks — the Route 66($ 7) and the Wrecking Ball($ 10) — and both were okay. I’m not a huge cocktail person, but I still downed a couple of glasses. To be honest, I was weary about the service we were going to get after reading all the recent Unilocal reviews. To my relief, we didn’t experience ANY of that. Our waitress(Andrea?) was extremely attentive and checked upon us often during the 3 hours we were there(what can I say? My friend and I had a lot to catch up on) and my water never went empty. I’d definitely go back.
