Blue Heron Futon

I had Carolyn (the owner) make a futon mattress for my six month olds crib. I was unsure of what I would get because I found her on Craig’s list, but I am very happy with the results. The futon is well made, out of all natural products. It is wrapped in wool which is a natural flame retardant. Firm on one side and softer on the other for the baby as he grows. Carolyn was easy to deal with, and though it took her a day longer than we thought, she communicated with me nicely. She was less expensive than buying a mattress off line and was nicer quality. I am now having her make a mattress for my husband and I, because the chemical free natural latex mattresses are way more expensive than hers. Blue futons are well made, hand crafted and local! Fun!

Carolyn made our baby’s crib futon and it’s wonderful. Such excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. I love it and my baby does, too! I’m so happy knowing my little one is sleeping on such a naturally made bed. I will be in touch with Carolyn when my son is ready for a twin sized bed!
