Any virtue that this place has in terms of location or cleanliness does not change the fact that is way too small. They have not notices that most of their members are male that like to use free weights!!! The free weight room is hell in the evening and they have only one of each! Only one squat cage? Only one smith machine? Only one extensions machine? Only one free weight preacher curl? ONLY ONE BARBELL BENCH PRESS? They seriously need to expand the free weight room.

I’ve been going to this gym for a while now and have seen many trainers there. And I must say none of them have been as social and approachable as Dennis. He didn’t try to sell me anything but instead sincerely asked me what I wanted to work on and we worked on it. We started with an assessment and we went on from there. DJ was very knowledgable and extremely encouraging when I wasn’t able to perform a certain exercise. He’s really flexible with my schedule and doesn’t put any type of pressure if I wasn’t able to attend. DJ created a safe environment for me and made me feel comfortable which allowed me to ease up and focus on the workout. I definitely plan on going back with any questions and concerns as well as following up with DJ.

Due to my heavy work & school schedule, it’s very difficult for me to work out. Wanting to make a change, I met with DJ today to do an assessment & run through some exercises I can do either at the gym or even better, at home. That’s what struck a chord with me in terms of DJ. He wasn’t trying to be a salesman to get me into their gym, he was sincerely trying to help me get healthier in a manner where I could be successful, which includes doing exercise at home. He was super friendly & knowledgable. I intend on returning & I attribute that to DJ!

Great gym for what I need in a gym. It can get very crowded in the evening and later in the morning, but if you go at opening, it’s great and I’ve never had problems obtaining a machine. Membership is a whole other issue… Serious problems. Took 3 times for us to sign up because the membership counselor called in sick, wasn’t there, skipped us…(which is odd considering this is how they bring in business) and a couple I referred had the same problems-​took multiple times. It’s been great though once we finally made it past that hurdle. I had similar problems with their «free» training session– person left for the day, walked right past my appointment and took someone else. I’m guessing if I kept trying I eventually would have been successful, just like membership. Overall, I think best in Turlock and a great value.

This gym is clean, well laid out and comfortable to be in. The only issue I have is the area upstairs where most of the women work out at. I feel the area near the strength training machines should be larger for stretching, squatting, etc. Overall, the staff is friendly and the gym isn’t too bad in comparison to others.

Nice, clean and modern. This place has a lively atmosphere thanks to the wonderfully accommodating staff who can really chat it up if you’re in the mood. They’re all very friendly and have become so used to seeing me they never have to ask if I’d like a towel; they just slap one on the counter when I walk in. The bathrooms are very clean and tidy and I’ve never once been bothered by a gym goer.
The equipment is usually in good condition and very diverse– 2 floors full of equipment leaves you with a lot of room to breathe with the usually bustling crowd coming in and out. The classes seem very positive and fun, though that’s just from a voyeur’s point of view
The prices are on the higher end, but is worth it for all the access you get.

The gym is clean and has a good amount of free weights and machines. It’s a relatively small sized gym, but fortunately isn’t super busy in the morning when I go so haven’t had any problems with waiting for equipment

Descent gym, HORRIBLE CORPORATE ETHICS. Upon sign up, they state that if you «relocate out of the area» you will not be charged cancellation fee. I signed up stating that I was about to move 105 miles west to San Francisco and I was told I’d have no problem canceling. Now that I’ve made the move they’re trying to charge me the cancellation fee because they have a location somewhere in the Bay Area but nowhere close to SF.

This is one of my Favorite gyms. It is always clean, weights are organized there never seems to be any clutter which reflects very good on the staff. The layout gives it a wide open feel to it and in the cardio area the the fans don’t make you feel like they are about to cut your head off like in some of the other gyms (West Lane Inshape).
