He came out at 10pm and got ac working fast and efficiently! He’s professional and fast! I highly recommend him!

My AC stopped blowing cold last night at 10pm… I called Mel’s at 12:30 today and Noël answered the phone and after a 3 minute conversation he was already sending someone out to help… Got to my house within an hour and half and fixed the problem. I will use Mel’s AC service from here on out. Thank you Noël for the great service.

We are so happy with Mel’s, Noël and Robert make an amazing install team. We set out and got 4 quotes to have 2 full installs done, one upstairs and one downstairs. Mel’s quote was the most competitive with the best equipment. We chose them. The downstairs unit was a standard cooling/​heating system and despite the crazy electrical boxes in our basement Robert got it done in a day! The upstairs was quite a bit different. We went from a standard unit to a mini split system to better combat the heat in a converted attic bedroom (Noël’s suggestion) awkward attic access, delayed equipment, etc… it took over a week. Robert and his team handled every bump so professionally. Because of an error on the supplier’s end Noël went and bought a portable AC unit to get us through until the job was done. End result was job is finished, upstairs loft is cooler than its been the last 2 summers and we are very happy. We would 100% use and refer Mel’s in the future!

My company was having trouble with our ac an sent out a separate vendor to conduct a diagnostic. The other vendor recommended/​quoted us $ 2,000 of repairs or $ 7,600 for a bran new unit.
In search for a second opinion we called «Mel’s Heat & Air». Mel took a look at the unit, and within 30 minutes he had the unit up and running. I HIGHLY recommend using «Mel’s Heat & Air». They are extremely honest, genuine, and easy to work with. If I could give a 6 star rating I would.
I am very pleased with this company, and will be using them again.

Mel’s Heat and Air have been fixing my AC/​Heating issues for over 15 years and I have never had a single issue with their work. They are reliable, timely, do an absolute amazing job and I will always continue to do business with them. I found Mel here on Unilocal on Monday and on Wednesday I am leaving this review. Mel was wonderful to work with, generous and knowledgeable. He gave me advice on how to keep my AC unit in good condition and was prompt and courteous. I plan to use him for future calls and happily recommend him to others.

Sooo I just moved into a new home and turned on the ac and it didn’t work, came on Unilocal and read all the great reviews on Mel’s and called him. Yep everybody is right!!! Noël is awesome came right away, fixed the problem and taught me a few things I need to do, definitely going to be a forever customer!!!

My heater went out a week before Christmas and we were freezing. I called Mel and he was literally able to be at my house within 20 minutes of my call. He checked it out and determined it was my main control unit was bad, a $ 500 repair. I told him I would have to think about my options (as if I had many) $$ is tight around the holidays. He said let me see what I can do. He called me back and said he found the part cheaper and he would discount his labor for me. He got me up and running in no time and my family had a very warm Christmas! I will not hesitate to call him again!

I have been using Mel’s for awhile. Cannot say enough good things about their business, work and how they treat people. Always timely and respectful. The technician just left our home and had our furnace fixed in about 5 minutes. He refused payment even for the service call. Will use for years to come and recommend them to everyone.

Our air went out on an 108 degree early this summer, they answered their phone outside of normal business hours and were able to come fix our air the same day even though they already had a full schedule. We had another issue with it again this it week when it was 104 degrees, I called them at 6pm and our air was working by 830pm. Very satisfied.

Well, I got to admit I was happy with the service I received the first two times (in a two month period). A guy came to my home right away and fixed my unit within the hour. I would of given Mel’s a five star rating then. Well when my unit broke down a third time, I spoke with the same guy to ask if someone can come take a look for the third time. The first two time it was the generator I believe is called that was the problem. I asked if maybe it can be something else in the unit that may be causing the generator to not work. I got a response of «let me do some research and I’ll call you back.» Well thank god I didn’t wait to call another company because it’s been maybe one to two weeks and I haven’t received a call. It’s disappointing I did not receive a call to at least notify me there was no help for me to fix my unit. That’s why I give a two star rating.

Needed my Thermostats changed so that I can control and lock them from my smart phone. I called Mel’s and they made a recommendation to install Nest Thermostats. They work absolutely amazing. They came out the very next day and installed 3 Thermostats for me and it was seamless. These guys know what they are doing. Very professional organization and I highly recommend them. Thanks.

Noël or Noah (sorry dude) came to the rescue. My pops called them last night, left a message and at 7:30 AM, he received a call saying they were on their way!
The dude figured out the problem in minutes and within an hour, he had the AC working again!
Fast and effective service, umm… ok!

Called Mel’s on a Saturday morning as my air-​conditioner had broken and my other air conditioner repair man was not able to take care of it. Mel came out in the afternoon and within 30 mins. it was working again. Fortunately it wasn’t something too expensive. Mel was personable, reliable and a hard worker. We will definitely use him again.

I have to say the reviews are accurate. Mel and Noël are 5 stars. Tuesday evening in the middle of the heat wave our tenant called to say their air conditioning was not working. It was after 6:00 p.m. and I was worried that getting someone in to fix it within the week was going to be a problem. I searched online for repair services and based on Unilocal reviews I called Mel’s. No joke… Mel showed up within 15 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem. Noël dropped off the part and the air conditioning was up and running within the hour. How awesome is that??? And Mel is a very nice man who answered questions and offered practical advice on preventative maintenance. What a great find for us! His number is a keeper for sure!

Mel’s came out to my rental property in Patterson quickly and were very polite. Initially it was estimated that I needed a new motor ($ 500+) but after thoroughly reviewing they were able to repair the unit and get it done for half the price! Thank you folks!

He immediately identified the problem, fixed it, and even did some cleanup/​preventative maintenance to make sure I didn’t have problems in the future. Best guys around town! They are affordable and efficient not to mention the quick response time which is why I’m giving them 5 stars. My parents live in Turlock and the heat we have to endure in the summer is not a joke. We had to call Mel last summer when their AC stopped working, I think it was about 105 degrees that day. Mel showed up the same day and fixed the problem. I meant to write the review right away but got busy and forgot about it. We had to call Mel last week when my aunts heater stopped working and we didn’t think twice about who we’d call. Mel provided the same great customer service and my aunt was a happy warm lady in no time. Looks like we’ve found our Heat and Air guy. Thanks Mel! You can add our family to your list of loyal customers.

Mel is the BEST! Friendly, quick and professional! I called Mel this morning, after realizing our AC wasn’t blowing cool air late last night. Today and the next 5 days are forecasted for 100+ degrees here in Denair/​Turlock. Mel told me he had 3 calls ahead of me, but would be here around noon. He was here at 11:15am! He did his magic and just like that the AC was up and running again!
I must share a little more, Mel was the second guy I called this morning. First I called one of those big company names that I was familiar with. The tech who answered, made sure to tell me this would be a premium emergency rate because it was Saturday. He then proceed to speak with a tone and manner that led me to believe he hated his job and didn’t seem too pleased to be working on a Saturday. I got off the phone with that guy and I was mad. I was NOT going to give my business to someone who acts like that. That is when I found Mel online :)
