Affordable Moving & Storage

We used Affordable Moving for our recent move. The guys did a fantastic job. They were prompt and wasted no time in moving stuff. They handled the stuff carefully and moved the boxes and furniture into respective rooms. We have a huge sectional furniture that is very heavy. They had to move the furniture into the home thru side yard and back door because it was not fitting thru the front door. 3 guys lifted the couch and carried on their shoulders around the home to bring it inside. The team was very courteous, careful and completed the move without any hassles. The sales office team kept us informed about our appointment and very accommodative in scheduling. Overall, we had a great experience with this company and highly recommend.

I’ve moved a lot in my life but I’ve never had such a good experience. From start to finish Affordable movers did a great job. Scott was efficient and took down all the pertinent information. He was very clear with pricing and laid it all out so it fit our needs. We had several stops to make and he got it all down just perfectly. On the appointed day (today), as scheduled three great guys showed up with a huge truck stocked with all that they needed. The truck was clean, the guys worked as one team making the move go quickly. Carlos was the lead and driver. He was kind, courteous, attentive and took great care with our things. His crew, Ruben and Ryan worked so hard — working 100% of the time and always courteous and kind. The entire crew were clearly well trained. They inspected everything and quickly alerted me to any issues they found. After confirming the condition they carefully wrapped every piece, including art work. Several pieces were antiques of my mom’s and they took special care, going out of their way to make sure that the legs were properly supported. They loaded the truck noting which pieces were coming off first. They were well organized from top to bottom start to finish. I noted that they stock their truck before they head out with a minimum of 80 blankets, three trolleys, tons of straps and its all so well organized and clean in the truck. That says something! I would strongly recommend and I’m a real estate professional. (they came recommended from another real estate professional, so there you go). Nearly 8 hours non stop, from the Beach to Santa Ana with a few stops along the way cost about $ 1,000. Includes supplies. Brilliant.

I wish I could give Affordable Moving and Storage more than 5 stars! They were phenomenal. from scheduling with Ada a week before my move, to the 4 awesome movers that showed up right on time last Saturday. Robert, Hector, Roberto and Reuben were all so friendly, professional, efficient and super hard workers. I can’t say enough about how pleased I was with their services. The price was very reasonable, as well. Thank you for the hard work, guys… now…can you help me with the unpleasant UN-​packing? I highly recommend Affordable!

Great service. The crew (Anthony, Art, and Ryan) all showed up on time or ahead of the window and did such a great job that I’d use them again. I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with other movers. These movers restored my faith that you can still get great service and value. The people I spoke to in the office for my schedule were very courteous, provided all necessary info, and professional as well.

Thank you, your guys were reasonable, efficient, and professional! They handled the inconvenience of the property I was leaving like true problem solvers. The unloading went very smooth and fast! Nothing was broken or damaged, and I was elated with the service. Highly recommend!

I just had this company move my stuff from storage. Granted I had a lot of stuff but I thought it could have been done faster since they didn’t need to wrap any furniture or move up and down stairs. Pretty straight forward bc most of my stuff went into the garage. Going through my stuff and I find a lot of smashed boxes and fragile items left near weight sets under piles of other stuff. Luckily they didn’t break but were left pretty precariously. It was pretty hard to organize. Giving them a 3 bc they got the job done but wasn’t as quick and organized as the other team I hired back in November.

I have to say these guys were true professionals. From the office staff getting the contract to us and their follow up to helping us move from house to apt to storage. It was pouring rain and these guys did a great job, used their time wisely and were «affordable». This company was honest and would recommend talking to Daniel and his crew. Great job guys!

We used Affordable Moving for a prolonged move. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Daniel, Ada and Cecelia were great. Providing updates, being patient with our questionable move in date that changed 3 times. Even with all the delays and storage fees, we felt we were charged more than fairly for the storage and the move.
All of our furniture was wrapped, padded and taken care of. From ¹²⁄₁₃ to ¹²⁄₂₆ nothing was damaged, it was all reassembled and put where we needed it.
The movers that helped us on both ends were courteous, clean and efficient. Took 4 hours to pack up and 2 hours to unpack. I couldn’t think of one thing they could have done better! Thanks to everyone over there for helping us and being so nice at the same time.

Orlando and Marco were polite, efficient and fulfilled all requests. The furniture was welled protected during transit and there was no damage. Highly recommended!

From opening call to end of the move everything was top notch. Hector and Orlando came on time and finished early. They save me a lot of money a lot of time and a lot of stress. My girlfriend and I can’t be more appreciative of their service. Hire them and tip them well. They were fast efficient and careful with our belongings.

From scheduling the move to the move itself, the whole process for us was pleasant and professional. Our movers, Robert and Amran, were terrific. They were both very pleasant and hard-​working. We were able to move from our 2-​bedroom into a new 1 bedroom in just under 4 hours with no damage.

Update! Here I am using them again for the 5^th time! From prepping the move… To execution, they are the best I’ve ever used. The actually movers are always incredibly helpful, and always well spoken. Thanks again for making difficult processes easier! Oh… And I should say, today we are moving my Mom… I have a moved scheduled on this Thursday for me, which will be my 6^th move with them!

I’ve used Affordable Moving and Storage 4 times! Always on time, courteous and willing to go the extra mile. Office staff is very professional and helpful!

I have used Affordable Moving and Storage now a total of Four times. Each time my household was moved into storage and then out to a new place. They sent three men the first time. I was moving my townhouse into storage. I had a blown knee (torn meniscus) and was on crutches. Therefore they had to do all packing. One man, Daniel worked on my upstairs bedroom, den and bath. He was awesome. He packed everything carefully and worked quickly and without me having to go up the stairs to assist in the actual packing. Everything was packed and the boxes were marked with a list of contents. He was really awesome, fast and EVERYTHING was wrapped and boxed for storage in their warehouse. Rather than just pack everything without communicating with me he assisted me in setting aside things I would need while my knee healed. These items in suitcases were packed and then placed in my SUV which was really nice because as I said I was pretty much useless at helping with the packing. I basically sat on a barstool in the kitchen and kept my leg elevated. I was in a great deal of pain and I think under the circumstances the movers were more than sensitive to my situation. They worked steadily and quickly. All of my belongings were boxed, wrapped or wrapped AND padded in order to prevent damage in the process of moving them into their storage facility.
My belongings were in storage for four months while I had surgery on my knee and healed at a temporary address. When I was ready to move back into another home my belongings were delivered undamaged. The movers who delivered my things from storage pretty much dumped all of the packed boxes into my dining room area. The boxes were too heavy for me to move to the rooms they belonged in for unpacking. So I called and spoke to Scott Maison who apologized and arranged for the movers to come back for two hours AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. He gave me the two hours and two men to move the boxes to the proper rooms and also do some tweaking on placement of furniture. This was done at NO ADDITIONAL COST to me. Scott made an appointment date and time for this. The movers arrived on time on the appointed day and did the work that was required. They were polite and amicable. No move is ever perfect but Scott was more than fair when dealing with me and making things right. I might add that the movers were very professional and when I unpacked I did not find one single damaged item with the exception of missing screws for one of my flat screen TVs which was easily remedied.
My final move was again due to illness. And I again called Affordable Moving And Storage to move my belongings into storage. This time I was moving out of state and it is to be temporary while I heal from a serious illness. Still my belongings were packed, wrapped and moved into their storage facility. There is a difficulty with me now with the financial aspect of the move and storage but I think I have been dealt with fairly. The storage fees are a burden I could do without but since I am a repeat customer and keep them apprised of my situation financially I think they have been more than fair. I don’t have to worry about my belongings not being safe, or ending up being auctioned off on Storage Wars! if I get a little behind on my storage fees. I work with them and they work with me. Professionally and courteously. When I return to California for good I will not hesitate to have them move me into my new home. I am wait listed for an apartment for seniors and will be ecstatic to move back and as I said, I can be assured that my belonging will be safe and undamaged.
I would (and have) recommended Affordable Moving and Storage to others. My suggestion is that you approach a professional move reasonably. Buy extra insurance because even the best movers can have accidental damages. Don’t go cheap on materials that can absolutely protect your belongings even in a short move. When in doubt, wrap and pad generously. It is better to pay for the packing and padding than it is to replace an item that may be damaged. If you see that they are not handling your belongings as carefully as you would yourself, say something! Don’t just stand by and watch any furniture item NOT being wrapped and padded. It is essential that you not allow unwrapped or padded furniture or fragile goods be loaded onto a truck that will then bounce around for the trip to your new location! Use common sense and don’t blame the movers for damages that could have been avoided. As for unloading and unforeseen difficulties, that is what the extra insurance is for. ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE. Movers are not going to damage your belongings on purpose. Again common sense. Insurance!
I have moved a lot and trust me Affordable Moving and Storage is both professional and courteous AND they are not out to rip you off. I have been there and these are just not those kind of movers. They are honest, fair, reasonably priced and professional.

Jose & Lucas did a great job. Moving is stressful & I wasn’t sure where everything would fit in my new home. They were polite, patient & strong up the stairs.
This is the second time I have used Affordable moving & I’m sure I’ll use them again in the future, which is about as good as it gets review-​wise

I don’t doubt that this could be a good moving company but my experience was less than stellar. I hired Affordable Movers to help me move my 2 bedroom apartment 5.5 miles down the road and they suggested 2 guys after I had given them the estimate of what needed to be moved.
On the day of the move, the guys did show up earlier than I had asked so I wasn’t home but was still charged for it. They were the friendliest guys you could work with but their work ethic left much to be desired. The process was slow and it took over 6 hours to finally complete a move that has taken previous movers 3 hours… and this was even after they brought in a 3^rd guy where I was charged extra. What was also frustrating was on the way to the new place, they had taken a detour to get refreshment for about 20 min but didn’t take that out of the final time. I was sympathetic to the guys due to the heat but 6 hours for a 2 bedroom apartment using 3 guys is just not acceptable. Even after having shared my experience with the company, nothing was done so I was left a very unhappy customer.

We recently used Affordable Moving for our local move. The pricing is very reasonable compared to some other companies we contacted and the two movers who showed up worked really hard. The company provides wardrobe boxes so you can move clothes easily and the movers take the time to wrap dressers and other furniture.
We did suffer damage to one of our TVs, which could have easily happened even if we were moving it ourselves. The claim process was simple and we received fair compensation quickly.
We have no complaints with this company and would definitely use them again for future moves.

I seriously couldn’t have asked for an easier or more affordable move. Matt and Orlando showed up around 8:15 this morning and packed my entire two bedroom apartment into their truck, drove it 15 minutes, and unloaded it to my new 3^rd floor apartment in LESS THAN 2.5 HOURS! My boyfriend and I are sitting here realizing we would still be at our old apartment attempting to move stuff into a uhaul if we were by ourselves.
The guys were fast workers, professional, and extremely nice. Matt and Orlando if you see this, you rock! Thank you so much for making our move easier than ever imaginable.
I 100% recommend using them for any moving needs and will continue to recommend them to anyone I come across moving in the area!

I’m really not sure how these movers got 4.5 stars on their reviews considering they managed to scratch every piece of furniture that they moved.

I have moved six times in my adult life. The first five moves consisted of renting a U-​Haul, calling as many friends as I could, paying them in food and alcohol, taking all freakin day with multiple trips, things being damaged, broken or lost in transit, maybe somebody getting hurt, and then spending the next two days dead from being so sore and exhausted.
So this time I decided to hire professionals. 10 stars for Affordable Moving & Storage!
I had three guys come out. It took them 3 ½ hours to load up my entire two story condo and move everything into my new two story house. The guys were all nice and professional. Nothing was damaged. I didn’t have to lift a thing. They worked fast and efficiently and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Happy moving day!

Great crew. Showed up on time, worked hard all day, and stuck it out until everything was moved. I would recommend them especially for local and regional moves. Their total cost was over $ 1,000 less than an estimate from a major leading moving company.
They can pack, wrap, and protect mirrors, artwork, and furniture.
