Used the services of this company for my house in Yorba Linda. I got the fumigation done while I was vacationing in Ohio. Mike handled everything so well without any hitches (house inspection, and packing of consumables I missed, gas services, roof repair for broken tiles etc.)
I highly recommend this company.

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance for a Saturday morning termite inspection. The lady I talked to on the phone sounded very professional and took my name and number, and then confirmed the appointment with the termite inspector. On that Saturday morning, the inspector never showed up. I tried calling and no one answered or returned my call. No one every notified me of a cancellation, so I waited for an hour and a half. I have still never heard back from them, or any reason why the did not show up. There is a coupon Unilocal for a $ 20 savings if you buy a voucher up front. I would recommend not buying or paying for anything up front with this company– they are not reliable.

Michael did termite inspection on the new house we were buying. We ended up having him fumigate the house as recommended. Very professional and was patient to explain the process. Highly recommend Ballard!

Impressed with the company. Michael is very professional and polite. In my second year with Ballard and very satisfied with the work. Just as good or better than the big companies I have had over the last 47 years in this house. Prices are very fair and reasonable, and Ballard gives you very good economical options for corrective work.

WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE — though they could not assist me in the timeframe specified, they took the time to review another entities quote, provide me insight and considerations, and responded in a timely manner through both email and voicemail. Great experience with Michael. Quality work at a fair price. I had some wood pergola beams replaced and some roof over-​hang areas fixed. It was like having your trusted brother at the house to get things back on track. Good company. The work was done right the first time. No need to worry about any of it.

We found this company based on the review. And Michael has been extremely polite and professional. He did careful inspections and gave us recommendations. We decided to make a fumigation, but delayed several times. We found out the contracted fumigation company has some bad reviews that we raised to Michael and had been working with him with possibility to find a better one. He has been very patient and eventually we decided to go with the first company. During the fumigation days Michael has been giving us updates and everything went well. Though we delayed our service for almost a year Michael is nice enough to keep the same price quoted a year ago. I highly recommend them.

My review is late but worth the wait!!! Ballard Termite rocks!!! I had my home done in Nov 2014, Iam a very picky homeowner and always concerned with people coming into our home, well let me tell you, you cannot go wrong with Michael and Tony. They were so professional and thorough. They addressed all my concerns and worked within my schedule. I would recommend these wonderful guys for any bug work in your home. Totally trustworthy and that means everything to me. Their prices cannot be beat! If your looking for a great company and great men and peace of mind these are the folks. Michael came & did a thorough full house inspection. We had been told by another company that we needed to tent the house. Besides the $, the prep work to prepare for tenting, we have a child who is very sensitive to chemicals. We would prefer not to tent if possible. So we sought a second opinion w Ballard. Mike found that he could spot treat 4:5 areas of damage. The 5^th area he suggested that we do an investigative repair to gain additional information. We still may have to tent, but w service & advice like I received from Mike, I’d recommend them w/​o hesitation!

There are few businessmen left in this world like Michael Ballard. This is a family owned and operated business and you know from day one that they take serious pride in their work. When we bought our home (our very first!!) in September, 2014, Michael took an incredible amount of time to walk us through our home inspection, to ensure the termite work was done properly, and to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I simply cannot praise Ballard Termite enough. Michael is responsive, thorough, trustworthy, and all around amazing. We are recommending this company to everyone we know who is buying or has a home and needs an inspection or termite work. And as long as Ballard Termite is around, we’ll never use any other company. If all businesses did business like Ballard Termite, the world would be a happier and more trusting place. Seriously — these guys are awesome.

I called a few termite companies based on Unilocal reviews before contacting Ballard and I’m happy that I chose them. We found an area in our bathroom and hallway closet that had been «invaded» by termites on a Sunday afternoon and needless to say I was freaking out and it made me uneasy that everyone I called was saying they couldn’t come out till Thursday or Friday that week. I called Ballard and initially they said the same thing, but I told the girl who answered the phone that I had a hole in my wall and asked if there was any way they could come sooner. She asked where I lived and I said Fountain Valley. She said they were actually in Huntington Beach that day so she said she’d call to see if they could fit me the same day. Ten minutes later, she called back and said they could see me in 45 minutes. Omg I was soooo relieved!!!
Michael and Tony actually arrived 10 minutes earlier than I expected them. They evaluated the areas affected fairly quickly and efficiently, determining that it was a localized area of infestation. Phewwww! I was really nervous that we were going to have to tent the house but they assured me that it wasn’t necessary yet… that we caught it on time. We only needed to do a treatment of the soil and when I (hesitantly) asked the price of the service, Tony gave me a ridiculous quote but quickly said he was just kidding when my face changed lol. Michael and Tony then asked how I heard of them and when I told them, they gave me a great deal.
They came back 2 days later to complete the treatment, arriving on time and doing a thorough job. No mess left behind. I received a report and an invoice/​receipt for the services the same day via email. Overall, such great service and a pleasure to work with. It’s been a week or so and I haven’t seen any new activity so time will tell but I’ll definitely call them for future services!

Michael did a termite inspection for me when I bought a foreclosure. He is a consummate professional and did an excellent job. Fortunately we didn’t have any major work to tackle, but I would call him any time and recommend Ballard to anyone.

Our experience with Ballard Termite Control Services was top notch from start to finish. From the onset of discovering wood shavings (turned out to be termite droppings), a referral to Ballard Termite, and job completion, the team exceeded expectations the entire way.
Michael arrived on time to perform a thorough inspection of our home outfitted in shoe coverings and very quietly checked our home inside and out. This was in important first step since my wife runs an in-​home daycare. Michael explained his findings in terms that an average homeowner would understand and followed up with a detailed report and recommended services.
We choose to move forward with termite treatments and exterior wood replacements. The construction team worked around the daycare nap times and kept us well informed of their daily activities. They did a great job replacing the damaged wood, including matching of paint and keeping a very clean work environment.

I am the latest fan of Ballard Termite. I found them on Unilocal as well, so I didn’t know what to expect other than the fact that they had received very positive reviews.
All in all, they did an exceptional job on a fourplex I own in terms of both the fumigation and repair work.
When I decided to fumigate the two buildings, I got quotes from four companies. What set Ballard apart was the exceptional level of service I experienced from start to finish. At the quote stage, they delivered the most comprehensive and thoughtful assessment of the fumigation and repair issues of the buildings. Michael, one of the owners, was very accessible and very straightforward about presenting options and helping me understand what needed to be done.
What I really appreciated is that prior to the fumigation, Michael met with all of my tenants and thoroughly explained the process and answered questions that they had. This went a really long way in making my tenants feel comfortable about the process, and was in great contrast to a fumigation at another building in which I used a different company which created many tenant issues.
Their repair work was also very thorough and they went the extra mile to match the paint and repair additional issues without prompting that were discovered after some of the rotted wood was removed.
I would and will use Ballard Termite company again, and I will recommend this to my friends and family.

This review is long overdue, as I had Ballard Termite Control do work for me in March 2014! I rarely write reviews, but I was so pleased with them that I wanted to let others know about them.
I first contacted Ballard Termite Control because of their good Unilocal reviews. I was very impressed with the professionalism of Michael and Tony when they came out to my house. They were prompt, wore booties in the house, were really nice and friendly and seemed to be very thorough. I also liked how they explained everything so well. They climbed into my attic and banged on the rafter tails and other wood elements on the exterior of my house, including our wood patio cover.
I got an e-​mail estimate that same evening and their quote was quite reasonable. They recommended just spot treating the areas that had visible termite damage. I ended up choosing them over another company that wanted to tent my entire house and another one that also recommended spot treating, but didn’t seem as thorough or professional.
They kindly enlarged a hole in the attic to gain access. Jason (?) treated the affected wood areas and repaired some damaged wood. He was punctual and cleaned up after himself. He earned more Brownie points because he helped me when I had to leave before he was finished with his work and accidentally left the garage door open. He ended up closing the door for me, which included running out before it closed! Then he called my cell phone and left me a message to tell me he had done so.
There was a little issue with one of the replacement rails, but he corrected it immediately and ended up priming the bare wood in order to compensate for the problem!
All in all, my experience with Ballard Termite Control was excellent and I highly recommend them!

We purchased a termite inspection from Ballard through Amazon Deals. Ballard arrived on time for the inspection and did a very thorough job. They were very professional and did not make a mess. They explained their findings and emailed us a detailed inspection report. They did find some termite damage and we hired them to come back and exterminate. Again, they were on time and did a great job without making a mess. I would definitely hire them again and I recommend them.
