Bee Towing

Worst towing experience I’ve ever had. I called at 5pm to get a tow to an Autoshop that closed at 6. They quoted me 30 minutes and around $ 60. After many calls and 2.5 hours later, the tow truck finally showed up. The two guys were not very professional, asked to buy my car and then scratched my paint with their jack. After they got it jack up they told me it would be $ 200… I told them I wasn’t going to pay that much and he tried to make under the table deals with me. I still refused and ended up just telling them to put my car back in the stall. It may have just been the individuals I got, but I definitely would not recommend.

Tried to charge me more than is allowed I was told by the lady I called. Drivers trying to scam you here.

Having one of your work trucks breakdown is stressful on a Monday morning. After a very poor experience with Bee Towing, we eventually found a different company who does not take your credit card information up front and try to threaten you with high cancellation fees. After reading the other reviews, it appears this is their normal practice.

I called to get a tire changed.
Lady over the phone told me prices varied and estimated $ 49 to maybe $ 35.
The towing man was great! He helped out. But when the price was processed they charge me $ 120!
Ridiculous! I called back to see if we could worked something out because I the estimate they have me was super off!!! They said they could to nothing to help me!
$ 120 for a tire changed! Just too much.
Never again!
I should of just towed my car to my mechanic!

This is a scam company, avoid at all cost! We waited for 1 hour and 50 minutes when they are only five miles away from us. And the price they gave me on the phone was $ 49 to $ 89, but they are planning to charge me 150 for this when they finally arrive here. Everything is rudely made and they don’t give a crap
About consumer’s anger! All the five star reviews here are probably made by themselves. They took your credit card info before sending the driver, and they will charge you an expensive cancellation fee if you don’t take their service for a damn high price!

Do NOT use this company, their price is EXTREMELY high and they claim to be average in industry which is not true. Try other towing companies.

BS overcharge. I got an estimate for $ 55-​$ 85. I said ok. They towed my car 3 miles. Went upstairs and got an email saying I got charged $ 150. Called back and told me we charge more because it’s off the freeway. Wow, thanks for the heads up. I could of gotten of the freeway if that was the case.

My office is also in Tustin so I called a local company. They got out within a few hours which was nice (and why they got 2 stars instead of 1). It took about 3 minutes to jump start a car for me and then I was told the cost was $ 125. One hundred and twenty-​five dollars! I called the office and said «That’s a bit extreme don’t you think?», to which the man’s response was «You should have asked what the price was when you called!». I did not talk with him when I first called in. How did he know if I did or didn’t ask the price? I’m guessing he’s used that line a few times before. Lesson learned. I paid the $ 125 and will not call them again.

Expensive as hell with sub-​par services, find another towing service.
I called them after getting stranded with a flat tire and needed them to tow my car to a nearby tire shop. The young (sounding) guy who answered the phone was a douche and had this passive-​aggressive attitude (blatantly arrogant tone while almost sarcastically saying «sir»).
He wouldn’t tell me how much it would cost either and judging from the reviews here, he probably figured I would take my business elsewhere once I found out about his outrageous asking price. He wouldn’t tell me how much it would cost saying it varies so he can’t say but still wanted my debit/​credit card number. I told him I can’t give him any payment information without at least an estimate first. He then told me it would cost $ 140 to tow my car 5 miles. I told him that’s way more than I expected and he started giving me excuses about how it’s rush hour so it costs more and how they’d need extra «special equipment» to tow my car and how it would be the same price at any other towing company. Then he asked me in an accusatory tone how much I expected it to be. Frustrated, I told him I’ll try somewhere else first.
The very next towing company I called (also found thru Unilocal) towed my car for $ 63… less than half of Bee Towing’s price for the exact same job. It would cost the same at any other towing company, huh? You would think at least the service would have been friendly with such highway robbery prices.

Worst Towing Company Every. Was stuck on the freeway on my bike and i called these guys. Was quoted for $ 100-​$ 140 for he first 5miles. There’s no fix price for mileage. from 5S right before lakeforest exit going to Harleydavidson dealership, which is only 2miles, they still charged me $ 150. Not only that, i would’ve cancelled but they’re saying the driver is already 5mins away. but 45 minutes later. No tow truck on sight. i learned that the driver was doing other pickups. this is one shady company.

Thanks for saving me! My tire popped on the side of the 405 highway. After a busy day at work was the last thing I wanted to start my weekend with. Called and they came as fast as possible (20 minutes) just like they quoted me. Everything was fast and they got me to the tire shop before they closed thank god! Would definitely use them again! Thanks a million!

They came here very fast. My car is long, heavy and very hard to move but they quickly found a way to solve it

Just got my car towed by Joel. Was having a bad day and it couldn’t get worse with losing my car + getting married on Saturday. Joel came and was friendly and professional. He really made light of the situation and was great to speak to. Definitely request him if you can. Great service with great employees. Definitely recommend!!!

Great Service from Joel! He has a New York cell phone but he’s here local. Got hit in the parking lot at work and the hit punctured my tire completely flat. Joel came within about 7 minutes and picked me up and towed me to a local tire shop. This was about 7pm on July 3^rd. He did a great job, was a nice guy and I would recommend this place 100%. Thanks again Joel and Bee Towing.

Joel was the man and helped us big time. We were stuck on a Sunday on Father’s Day. He waited for us to find a mechanic and checked all the things that could have been wrong before he put us on the truck. Great company would use again.

DO NOT CALL THIS TOW COMPANY.
I was quoted a $ 55 fee by the dispatcher to come out to John Wayne Airport and jump start my car which had died while I was away on a 10-​day trip. In addition, one of my tires had gone flat, so I also informed the dispatcher that I needed the tire filled. (I didn’t feel like changing over to the doughnut spare at the time)
Sure enough the tow truck driver shows up, the tire is filled, the car has started and is idling to charge the battery. The driver says that the total charge is $ 165! $ 55 for the call, $ 55 for the jump, and $ 55 for the air for the tire!
I confronted the driver about the ridiculous amount of the charges, and that I was told nothing of the additional fees for actually doing something. I would have driven off at that point but his truck had me boxed in. He told me to call the dispatcher, which I did, and after checking with someone in the office, Haley confirmed that the charges were indeed correct. After expressing my disbelief, she informed me that I should have asked what the additional charges were prior to authorizing the service.
I replied that I had informed her coworker of what I needed done and that I was quoted $ 55, which I would have no problem paying. She said that the total after service was $ 165 and that I needed to pay it for me to be able to move my car.
Already very late for work, I paid them their ransom.
I’ll be having a conversation with my credit card company about a charge back. Thanks Bee towing for providing the impetus for my first Unilocal review.
P. S. My car died 20 minutes later at an intersection so I had to get it jumped (by another company of course). The fee? $ 50 all inclusive.

Joe was great and funny! He called me right away and arrived within 30 minutes. Made it safe to the auto repair! Will definitely use them again in the future!
