Dr. Mehta was raised in Toronto, Canada and received his Bachelors of Science degree with honors in Life Sciences, a program directed at the pre-​medical and pre-​dental sciences, from Queen’s University. Dr. Mehta then continued his education by pursuing a four year Doctorate degree in Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mehta was then accepted into the post-​doctoral program at Boston University — a program revered for its reputation in training the highest level of academically oriented clinician. Under the tutelage of Dr. Herbert Schilder, considered by many to be one of the modern-​day fathers of Endodontics, and Dr. Jeffrey Hutter, a past-​president of the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Mehta also completed a three-​year Master of Science in Dentistry. This Master’s degree was directed at learning the microbiological, physiological, and biochemical processes behind inflammation, a critical component involved involved in Endodontics.

Dr. Metha went above and beyond in everything he did. He explained everything my procedure entailed in clear and understandable terms. He was so easy to talk to. I had a lot of questions and he wasn’t rushed; he took his time to explain everything to me about my root canal operation. I was very nervous, but Dr. Metha’s patience and explanations did the trick. The procedure went so well. I am so satisfied. I will make the drive to see him if I ever need this kind of work again. I definitely refer Dr. Metha whole-​heartedly!

The women who work the front desk are AWFUL. The office seriously needs to rethink employing them, or retrain them and teach them customer service. I was not greeted when I came in through the front door, and any time I talked to either of the two girls in the front, they gave me attitude and snarky looks. Left a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth. The only reason I’m giving a 2-​star review is for Dr. Mehta himself. He was a GREAT guy. Explained everything in depth, and was extremely courteous and pleasant. Otherwise, this review would be 1 star (0 stars if that was a choice). I, unfortunately, will not return because of the way I was treated by the women in the front. I apologize if you were BOTH having a bad day, but when you are working with customers face to face on a daily basis, leave your attitude at home.

This review is very well deserved. I flew all the way from Oregon just to see Dr. Mehta. I was terrified!!! To say the least. I’m talking nightmares, sweaty palms, everything you could imagine. I had never had a root canal and had no clue what to expect.
Dr. Mehta was confident and patient. If I had questions even if it was 10 o clock one evening and or 7am in the morning he would respond. I ended up having two root canals two days in a row but I’ll tell you I feel great for doing it. No pain, not even feeling uncomfortable. I’m on day 2 of recovery and still feel great minus being a little sore. This is your Dr. If you need a root canal. 5 stars and more!

For all the times people say, «I’d rather have a root canal…», I never thought it could be such an incredibly easy and positive experience! Dr. Mehta is extremely personal, professional, and brilliant! Root canals are all he does in his practice, and he and his staff are the best! The entire procedure took 45 minutes, just as he promised, and I had absolutely NO PAIN! Great follow up to make sure I was doing as well as he predicted. I can’t say enough positive things!!!

Dr. Mehta is the coolest doctor I’ve ever been to. He just did a root canal for me today –something that I’ve dreaded the thought of all my life. It took about an hour and there was absolutely no pain. I thought that my tooth was going to have to be pulled but it looks like he was able to save it. Dr. Mehta is super personable, with a great bedside manner and he explains everything so thoroughly. He really spends a lot of time with you and makes you feel totally comfortable. I highly recommend him! I have to go back and have another root canal and I’m not even dreading it at all!

My dentist Dr. Roger Uchizono only refers his patient’s out to the best specialists, so I knew that Dr. Mehta would be good. But he is a great! His name should be in the dictionary next to «root canal» because he is a Master at endodonics. The office is relaxed and comfortable to reduce any stress the patient might feel about the root canal. And he offers a selection of music to listen to during the procedure which helps you to stay relaxed through the 45-​minute procedure. Dr. Mehta speaks to his Patient’s as intelligent adults, explaining the process and the cost with no fluff or misrepresentation. This is a top-​notch professional operation. He performs only 6 procedures a day so the Pattient is never rushed in order to make a daily quota. If you ever need a root canal procedure, choose this endodontist. And you will be so relieved when all is said & done.

This was my first root canal so I was not sure what to expect. My first impression was with the staff. I found them to be polite, accommodating and professional. The office was tastefully decorated and comfortable. When the procedure began, I was offered a wireless headset and a wide selection of music. The procedure was nearly painless. Dr. Mehta explained everything – the equipment and what I should expect. He constantly asked if I was OK throughout the procedure. I found him and his assistant to be very efficient. My comfort was clearly a priority. Dr. Mehta told me immediately after the anesthesia wore off, I would no longer be sensitive to cold, and explained the area would be tender for a few days. And that’s exactly what happened. Within a few days, everything was back to normal. This was a positive experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend Dr. Mehta.

No one ever looks forward to a root canal, but the one thing I like about Dr Mehta is that he is fast and efficient. I’ve had a couple of root canals done by him and he takes about 45 minutes from start to finish.

This was my first time to his office for a root canal. Dr. Mehta was extremely professional and talked to me in depth about the procedure. My molar was greatly infected and he gave me anti-​biotics (which worked that night) before he did the procedure. He actually called me before and after the oral surgery to see if I was okay and/​or had any questions. The surgery only took 45 minutes and it was painless.
Great doctor, great staff! I would definitely recommend him to my friends out in Orange County.
