Ken Luna is a genius!
I had window tints done on my F150, including windscreen and full moon roof– thats a lot of glass! I choose Ken after a lot of research and selected him because of his knowledge and experience and his outstanding attention to detail, yes you can find cheaper but will the installation be perfect and will the material stand the test of time? I learned about his paint corrections and sealant process and all the years of research and development he has put in to develop his unique product.
I had it done 3 months ago and have been thrilled with the results, the depth and quality of shine persist regardless of how minimal the wash is. The surface has a slippery texture that allows dirt and bird dropping literally to lift off with no effort. I’m certain the paint is better protected now and encouraged that no polishing is required to maintain that finish, despite 1 – 2 week car washing at the budget rate it still looks better than the day it came in from the factory!
The depth of the shine leaves a smile whenever I see it. If your interested in a lasting protection better than new shine, go talk to this guy you will leave convinced!

Had my new Ford f150 done here within the last few days. Was recommended here by a friend. I’ve had previous vehicles tinted elsewhere so this was my first time at DP. Not only was it the best tint job I’ve had, but the cost was greatest too. I won’t need to return for bubbles, scratches etc like I have elsewhere. Seems like a family owned establishment an I highly recommend getting your vehicle done here. 5 stars!

Okay Folks–
I am writing an update to my previous review based on taking my Car into Ken for its 1 year anniversary treatment. Now I didn’t need to do this at all based on my cars great condition, but the perfectionist in me always wants my car looking its best. I wash it every weekend, two bucket wash and only use a detail finish spray on my car to help maintain the softness. Kens process goes along way to protecting your car. When I brought back the car almost 1 year to the day, he had his team come out to look at how their work held up over the past year. What we found over the 1 year was the following:
Slight marring (swirl marks on the deck lid of the trunk)
A small paint transfer from a broom handle that fell on the cars quarter panel,
A few light marring’s on rear of the car near the tail lights
Light to Medium Fall out on the car (normal contaminants every car gets from being outside during the day from a daily driver car) This is that feeling when you rub the back of your hand lightly on the car usually on the roof or hood and your hand sticks and does not glide off the paint.
THATS IT!
His amazing correction process and sealant and my minimal upkeep, which was just a two buck wash, blown dry, (NO TOWELS), and detail spray once a week was all it took.
As I mentioned before I saw another Tesla (the one a few reviews below), same color as mine, and man did it shine and sparkle, I told him I want mine to look like that. Ken told me he would love to update my car with his refined process and sealant that he added a step to where the car has an almost diamond sparkle to it. No they didn’t add glitter or flake to the sealant, just that the paint is so «jeweled» or perfect after he is done polishing that it looks the same as a diamond sparkling in the light.
So 1 day after dropping my car off, I got a call to tell me the car was all done.
All the items I noted above were removed and the car was better than brand new. Seriously, I could have drive it over to Tesla and they would have been jealous of my car for how much better the paint looks than one that just arrived from factory in Fremont.
I inspected my car from 1 – 2 inches away in the direct sunlight and could not find one, haze mark, swirl, or pad scratch, in the Telsa body paint. Ken and his team did an amazing job.
While it may sound like he didn’t have to do much, you would be wrong, the process is still the same, you just don’t have to spend as many hours getting through it. 8 – 10 hours spent on my car and it was so worth it. The look the Tesla had when they drove her up to me, aww man!!!
I love to detail and polish my cars, but I have a family and I feel horrible taking 10 – 15 hours a month away from them so I can polish the cars.
Now I don’t have to take anytime away from them, because I know Ken’s work holds up and all you need to do to maintain it, is give it a good wash once a week.
His polishing process and sealant are amazing and after a seeing it on my car for the last year and how little there was to be corrected, I am a believer, and if you want your car to look like a million bucks, take it to Ken and his Lunaz Shine!!!

If you really care about your car, this is the place to go. It’s clean, professional, and they really know what they are doing. It’s a family shop that takes pride in what they do.
As for the pricing, I certainly didn’t have a problem. The prices seemed very fair for quality work which includes a life-​time guarantee.
I highly recommend this shop and would definitely use them again.

Ken and his team are great. They took great care with my Tesla and my dads Teslas. He’s got a one of a kind process to make those cars sparkle. They fixed a scratched headlight that was keyed and you can’t even tell it ever happened. The window tint he did on my car was great. I had another car tinted elsewhere and it did not hold up but this one DP did has been great. I will add pictures of the Teslas. They are just beautiful. This shop specializes in high end cars. Thank you Ken! You are awesome and have me as a long time customer. Wouldn’t trust my cars elsewhere.

ok. everyone’s frothing about his tint work… that’s nice, but that isn’t why i went to see him. he came highly recommended.
for paint correction.
i’m an anal, fussy, piece of s hit who knows good body and paint work. i have a Caddy CTS-​V in black metallic, that just came out of a body shop after a $ 15,000 sideswipe on the freeway by another car. caddy had 11,000 miles on it when it happened. took a month to repair, and ¾ of the car was a repaint. everything about the repair was first rate, until they detailed the car before delivery. imagine a failed experiment involving methamphetamine, and a buffer. you get the idea. the car had enough swirls and holograms that it sort of swirled before your eyes as it went by.
two of his minions spent three days working on it, and then ken sealed it with the product he developed. i picked it up this afternoon.
it’s the best paint work i’ve seen, ever. anywhere. time will tell how long the sealant lasts, but i’ve got high hopes for it.
how much did it cost? a pail full of money. is it worth it? yep.
shut up, quit whining, and go get it done. especially if you have a black car. there’s only one other guy i’ve seen in this area that can do work to match this, and he was about $ 1,500 more than ken. do the math.

I tried this place for the first time due to the 90+ 5 star reviews and I was very disappointed. I brought my brand new Ford Fusion in for a tint and received it back damaged.
The front right door had to small puncture holes on top by the glass. Later I found that the right rear window was peeling and had to go back in to get it redone. The car was also left very dirty from their work. I would definitely not come again nor recommend this tint shop to anyone.

I called and messages about 15 auto tint shops before going with Ken at DP Tint. Not only was he the most responsive, he even was able to fit me in on a busy Saturday to get my new i3 tinted. The drop off and pickup process was so smooth and I could not be happier with the result. In fact, I am so happy with the their service, that I am going to take my 5 Series into them tomorrow. I have already read through hundreds of reviews from almost every tint shop in the OC area, just save yourself the time and call Ken. Thank you — million times over!

This is one of the best tint shops I’ve ever been to they do excellent work. they pay attention to the detail and they take care of the cars.
Ken the owner is a good guy and he’s been doing this for 20 years. I take all of my cars there.

The owner Ken is rude and unprofessional. I recently referred a friend here because I’ve had 2 cars tinted here (was never directly dealing with the owner) and had told her that the prices were reasonable and they did a good job.
So she went there this morning and they quoted her about twice the price I had said I paid (which is pretty overpriced, $ 400 for tint?). So she called me and asked about it, and put the owner on the phone. He was determined to prove me wrong. He asked if I had the receipt to look at (which I didn’t because I was at work and had my car done back in October) so he proceeded to look up the invoice on his end and insisted that I paid a certain amount. Well, okay, I don’t have anything on me to disprove that, so I just said that I don’t remember paying that amount but sure.
Then he said: «Are you one of those girls who comes in and just lets her man pay for everything?»
EXCUSE ME?
Wow. The unprofessionalism in that comment just blew me away. I completely regret referring previous customers here and regret getting my car tinted here. They basically had a free referral and a guaranteed sale and they treat their customers like this.
There are plenty of great tint shops in OC with solid customer service. Don’t give this place your hard earned money.

I got my tint about a month ago and it is beautiful. Ken is an honest man and has awesome employees. They were able to accommodate me and got the job done within less than 2 hours with life time warranty. I will tell everyone to come here to get their tint done. I love family owned businesses, they’re definitely doing it right here.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Kenny is amazing. Honest, upfront, reasonable in his prices, efficient. This is the second time my husband and I have had him tint our Irvine MINI Coopers, and Kenny did not disappoint. As it turns out, he does all the tinting for two well-​known dealerships in the area. That’s how trustworthy he is. Kenny offers different shades of tinting, as well as detail services. Our last car’s tint lasted the entire time of the lease (three years). I was referred here by Irvine BMW and left with the most gorgeous tinted windows. Fast, efficient and reasonably priced. Really impressed and I recommend going here especially if you have a luxury vehicle.

Both my wife and I took our cars in to get tinted here o. Separate occasions. We were referred by her sales rep at BMW and well worth it. You pay just half of what the dealer tries to upsell you at closing.
Both 2016 5 series and A6 are the sharpest looking cars on or block. Took about 2 hrs each car, friendly service. Thanks Milton and crew.

Not only is Kenny easy to deal with but DP Tint is very accommodating when it comes to making appointments. I have had 2 cars now tinted by Kenny in a matter of two weeks and have no complaints, and quick shoutout to his employees all friendly and professional guys.
Highly recommend him to anybody who is looking to get a professional tint job for a reasonable price, his tint quality is so good that; I have had others ask already who did my tint because of how clean it looks.

Shout outs to Milton at DP tint!
I was referred to this shop by a co worker as I wanted to get the windows on my 2015 Civic Si tinted. Milton, and owner Ken, did an amazing job, took their time, but didn’t sacrifice quality and STILL had me in and out in 2 hours, despite their hectic schedules. I got a great value for my money and am very thankful to Milton for the hookup – my new car never looked so good :)
I’ll definitely return and refer friends and family!

These guys were so nice to take me last minute today. I had a million questions and Milton took the time to patiently explain everything to me. I am the type of person that researches everything before making a purchase so I extensively did my due diligence here before I gave it the green light.
As a tip, do not go cheap on your tint. It’s your car so spend the money on quality film and experts in the profession. I went with the IR, let me tell you… this stuff is AMAZING! The heat that it keeps out alone is worth it.
One thing a lot of the general public doesn’t know is, most shops do not take the extra time to take your door panels so that they can a proper lay of the film. Most shops will short cut this by just edging around the window, which eventually will track dust and dirt and peel off.
Bottom Line: go to a trusted and reputable shop like DP.
