Elite Jewelry Appraisals

I just signed up solely for the purpose of giving May a much deserved 5 star review. Jewelry can be rather subjective within certain parameters, so finding someone who can give you honest answers and appraisals is something of a rarity.
May was very helpful, extremely informative, spent over half an hour with me, and when I didn’t need a formal insurance appraisal, she didn’t want me to pay her. Kind of amazing, really.

May was great! She was responsive and set an appointment to fit our schedule. She took her time and was extremely knowledgable and thorough. She answered all of our questions and made sure we understood the process. We will be going to her for all of our appraisal needs and would recommend her to everyone we know!

I can’t begin to explain what a great experience we had going to May for an appraisal. We needed an appraisal to insure my engagement ring and May really went above and beyond to assist us. We were able to schedule an appointment with her quickly. The appraisal took 30 minutes and within a couple days we had all the documents needed for the insurance. I would absolutely go to May again and would recommend her highly to anyone looking for an appraisal.

I needed to get an appraisal done for our homeowner’s policy and called a few places and their prices were high (in my opinion)…called May at Elite and she was quick, professional and reasonable (and she ended up and charged me less than she quoted over the phone after seeing what I brought in)

May is superb! She is incredibly thorough, personable and honest! We brought my engagement ring, wedding bands (his and her) and a tennis bracelet. Her prices are reasonable and competitive. She makes herself available during the time you recommend. Really terrific and professional; highly recommend her and the jeweler at the shop!

We went to see May based on other Unilocal reviews, and we are very glad we did! We took my engagement ring along with a necklace and a few pieces of jewelry my fiancés father left to him. She is someone who you just like instantly. She’s also very obviously, extremely knowledgeable and very honest. She definitely knows her stuff. If you are needing to have some jewelry appraised, call her and make an appointment. You’ll be happy with her service, just like we are.

I came across May on Unilocal,because I was looking for a jewelry appraisal for an engagement ring that I recent purchased, and my insurance required the appraisal to be done by a certified gemologist. After messaging a few place, I decided on going with May, her prices were very reasonable. Our appt only took about 30 minutes, and May was very professional and provided an honest and accurate appraisal for the ring. She provided all the appropriate documents for me to submit to my insurance and in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend her to others or use her again if I ever need appraisal services again.

My experience with May was beyond exceptional! Her professionalism, knowledge and expertise were better than any review I read. I needed to get my newly upgraded 25 year anniverary wedding ring insured and required a Graduate Gemologist Appraisal before I went out of town. May went above and beyond to accommodate on short notice and supplied me with my appraisal the same day so I could take it to my insurance company. She put my husband and myself at ease as she reassured us that our diamond was exactly as purchased. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an appraiser as my experience with May was phenomenal.

Well it is not. I took a piece of jewelry into her for her inspection. She gave me her honest and knowledgeable opinion. My experience with her was outstanding.

May was absolutely wonderful! I just got engaged a month ago and needed to get my ring appraised for insurance purposes. I called a couple different places but my insurance company requires a GIA Certified Gemologist and was referred to May. I was able to make an appointment the same day I talked to her and her rates were great! Her office is easily located off the 55 Fwy in Tustin and I was in and out of there during my lunch break.
She was very friendly, told me a lot about my diamond, how to keep my ring clean, and showed me a chart explaining what she was looking for. She cleaned my ring, inspected it and took pictures of it during my visit. She gave me the estimated value before I left and emailed me the report the very next day. Quick! Thorough! Easy!
I highly recommend May and will definitely use her services in the future.

How did I not do this the first time??? Okay, two reviews and both are 5+ stars!!!
First — thanks to Unilocalers, I took my wedding ring to May to be appraised for our insurance. She was fantastic, professional and very pleasant. She has degrees all over her wall which lets you know she isn’t just some chump in a mall store. She took all the measurements in front of me and then photographed my ring. A few days later, she emailed me a detailed report that explained my ring in detail. She also told me that if I needed updated reports for the insurance company, to just let her know. I’d had the ring appraised (from a mall appraiser) when my husband first bought it, this experience was SO MUCH BETTER!!!
I recently got a new ring from a family member and wanted to have it appraised as well since I really know nothing about the ring. I contacted May and she was more than accommodating (willing to come in on a holiday to make it convenient for me!)
I went in today and she remembered me and was so awesome. She told me the approximate time frame the ring was made, and even showed me information about the cut in one of her books.
She cleaned and inspected the ring and then measured and photographed it. She told me a ballpark value, but that she would also send me the formal report in a few days.
Then while I was there, I asked the jeweler to rhodium dip my wedding ring since the white gold is starting to age, and to put in metal ball sizers (we discussed it when I had my wedding ring in there for the appraisal.) I agreed to come back and pick it up Wednesday.
The two family rings were too big for my finger and May went and talked to the guy about getting it done while I waited so I would not have to come back, which he was able to do.
May really made me feel like a valued repeat customer, which made me feel great. I have confidence in her from past experience and the degrees on her wall, and I appreciate her awesome customer service and friendliness. I would totally recommend her!!!

May was ready and right on time, she was very personable and cleaned my rings to give me an accurate appraisal. She was honest about the rings and voiced her concerns, I had a bad diamond and she marked it for me & I had my jeweler have it replaced within 48 hours. She emailed me her appraisal and helped get it insured. May goes over and beyond, VERY happy customer! Highly recommend. Did I mention she was REALLY affordable too!

She provided me with education about diamond ratings and she cleaned my stone up during the appraisal to give me the most accurate info., I really appreciate her straight-​forwardness and candor. I am definitely coming back to get future jewelry appraisal done by her!
FYI: her office is located inside a jewelry store with a different name, so it took me a few walks around the building before locating her. Just make sure you write down the office suite number so you don’t get confused like I did.
