Can’t believe this place is closed/closing. Their quality has gotten worst over the years(veggie area) but their seafood area was always fresh. I loved their marinated Korean BBQ and $ 4.99/lb medium sized shrimp, best deal, even in comparison to other Asian markets. Their food court has some pretty decent food. I will surely miss this place. On another note maybe that«R» Ranch Bodega market on Walnut and Newport can move over there, place looks and smell old and decrepit, time to start anew! Plus the«R» market strip needs a face lift!

I had never been here before so I wanted to give it a shot. For some reason, they hardly had any produce or meat put out. What little produce they had did not look fresh and the meat department did not look like it was even open. Some of the refrigeration cases simply contained bottles of BBQ sauce. Seriously, check out my photo. It was empty! Only one cashier was working in the middle of the day, but that was plenty since there really wasn’t much to buy. I did end up buying 30 light bulbs because they were on sale.

I can’t say too much about Freshia because my experience with it is limited but I was very pleased to find they have Inari wraps, which I have struggled to find in markets anywhere in my area. Also worthy of notice is the the food court, which has a wonderful sushi restaurant – it looks like a fast-food chain but the food is served on wooden platters and is of highest quality.

I love Freshia Market. I used to come here a lot when it was HK and then I stopped going for a while when I moved to downtown Los Angeles. Now that I’m back in the OC I’ve rediscovered this place. I come here mostly when I want: * Korean BBQ(to bring back home and cook) * When I want some sushi on the run. * Some Soju for my favorite sushi chef * Some fresh fish or squid(I totally dig squid) It’s summer time, so I’ve been coming here a lot for their marinated short ribs, different kinds of beef, and spicy pork! The butchers are located on the right side of the store(after you enter) and you can see their variety of meats in the glass case. Their meats are usually on sale and have found their prices to be commensurate or lower than Zions. Tip #1) There are 3 restaurants to the left of the store as soon as you walk in, I’ve only tried the Korean BBQ one, not the Japanese or Chinese food(the KBBQ was good, not great, but good). Tip #2) They open at 8:00am and it’s a great time to beat the crowds. I normally go here at 8:05 am and it’s always been pretty empty(usually on weekends). Tip #3) If you bank with Wells Fargo there’s a Wells Fargo ATM right next to the right of the market. Tip #4) If you go to the meat dept. and there’s no one there, ring the bell, and they will come out and help you. Tip #5) It’s right off the 5 freeway, you exit Red Hill Avenue, head south and it will be on your right after you pass Walnut.

A bit on the small side when you’re talking about asian supermarkets but it’s quite organized and clean. Pricing seems to be quite reasonable.

Freshia is not as fresh as it’s name implies. I understand that I shouldn’t expect the produce to look like what you’d get at the bigger grocery chains. After all, the pricing at Freshia is much less. However, the quality of many produce items are below acceptable, and should be been trashed(or better yet, donated) long before they get this bad. Shopping around, you might find items marked down as much as 75%. I was excited to come across big bottles of Sriracha with such a discount. To my dismay, the expiration date on most bottles was 4 months ago. On the ones that weren’t expired, the date was about 2 weeks in the future. I love Sriracha, but I dunno if even I could consume that much in such a short time period. :-/ I did score some tasty cuttlefish peanut crackers for $.50 per can(usually $ 2). I knew they were expiring in a week, but they didn’t last that long in my house anyway! :-) And yes; when I say«Meh. I’ve experienced better.», I AM referring to H Mart. :-P

I like Freshia a lot. I usually get my fish ends and bits here on the cheap and it’s usually stuff I’m willing to cook and eat but can’t find at more popular stores. Case in point: the other week I picked up some awesome salmon skins here for under a buck a pound and fried them up with some teriyaki sauce and some chopped nira. I loved it(even though it’s not to everybody’s taste: sorry, baby :)))) I put that bad boy between some bread and got me a wild and decadent fish sandwich, Russian-Korean-Japanese style! I loved it!!! The best part: rich salmon flavor at 97 cents a pound… oh, that extra flavor of «almost free.» This store is mainly Korean and they have a lot of fresh produce at cheap prices. I love that stores like this usually operate based on what’s in season since that’s what they’re getting from their vendors. This means that you can always score some major deals.

I love Freshia! They have super duper cheap produce sales sometimes(like 5 lbs of grapefruit for $ 1!) and the deli eats are 50% off at night! We always come here when we go to food court next door to eat. Gotta burn off some of those excess calories haha :) They have lots of Korean snacks and instant noodle packs. I’ve gone a couple times when they were sampling things, and that’s how we found our favorite instant noodle brand! There’s also a bunch of other Korean goodies, but I mostly come here to stock up on my fruits and veggies.

I love love love freshia! I used to live down the street. Call me cheap, or just wise with my monies. After 6:00ish, they mark the«deli fresh» goods half off. So I’d go to the gym till about 7, then head over to freshia to pick up some dinner on my way home. No shame! I prefer this place over Zion or H-Mart. I found jeju orange juice here, where H-Mart was out. To be honest, it’s more«ghetto» here but I still don’t mind it. I find stuff I want and it’s cheap, especially the produce! Sometimes they have sales on the meat, and it’ll be even more cheaper!

Love Freshia for the meat. You can get all kinds of Asian cuts, and the meat is nicely packaged, too. Good selection of pre-cooked Korean appetizers and marinated meats. I also always pick up tubes of silken tofu here. Prices are good. The supermarket is generally much cleaner than the average Asian market. The only thing I don’t like much is the produce section. The vegetables and fruits are not top quality. So, get the meat, skip the veggies.

This review is not for the market itself, which I think is just fine. This review is for the vendor at the food court that sells Chinese food(the very first one on the right when you enter through the hallway from the supermarket). People are not as dumb as this vendor thinks. I ordered the lunch special for a chicken dish(I can’t even remember which one because it was such a disappointment) and was looking forward to eating a nice meaty chicken dish. The food came out promptly, and I sat down to dig in. After a few bites, I noticed something was wrong. The food seemed to be very bready and not very meaty. So I cut a few of the pieces of chicken to see how much chicken they put in. Interestingly, there was NOCHICKENINTHECHICKENDISH. It was all just breading. THEYSOLDMEDEEPFRIEDBREADIN A SAUCE. I cut open all the other pieces just to be sure, but they were all just bread. When I order chicken, I expect chicken. If the dish doesn’t contain chicken, make sure you say so on the menu! You can’t charge people $ 8-$ 10 for deep fried bread. Swindlers… I’m never eating there again. And you shouldn’t either. It’s like a guessing game: How much do you think they can cheapen the dish without alerting the customers? Like I said before, people aren’t that stupid. Buyer beware!

pros: Freshia is big. There’s so much to explore and so much produce, dried goods, meats and seafood to choose from. An annex to the store offers a few independent, cafeteria style eateries. On one side of the store is what appears a separate health and beauty shop. At another corner is a café which doesn’t seem to be getting much business. cons: Sometimes if there’s a majorly good deal like 2 $/lb for crab, it’s likely you won’t get anything great by the time you make it to the store. Then you’re sad b/c you’ve missed out on deals. overall: Come frequently. Take some serious advantage of the marinated Korean BBQ ribs in the meat section.

This review is over the Chinese-Korean restaurant in the food court. My sister and I had been CRAVING jajjangmyun for a week and had no clue where to get some around Irvine. Thanks to Unilocal,we decided to drop by the Freshia Market and try it here. We ordered 1 bowl to share(~$ 5) since it was our first time and it was ready within 5−10min and was huge. It was a Very large bowl. They put a LOT of sauce onto the noodles but it was great! Felt slightly bad because I ate all the noodles and could not finish the huge amount of jajjang sauce. Definitely will come here again to satisfy future jajjangmyun cravings and I’m dying to try out the Japanese-Korean & the Korean food stalls.

Hello Fresha. It’s been a while. I remember you when you first came to Tustin. Your hair was up and it was doin it’s thang. You had that tight black mini skirt and those long legs and candy apple red high heels that really turned me on. Back then, you just went by your initials«HK». You were the cool new lady on the block. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, was excited to see you. Back then, you were a sight for sore eyes; no longer did people have to the trek West on the 22 fwy. No longer did we have to try and find parking that wouldn’t end up with multiple door dings on our cars from the narrow parking spaces. Oh how I remember the days when you were the shining star for many who lived Southeast of the 55 fwy. But what happened? Did you get tired of us? Or was it all fo sho’? You let your hair down(heck, you don’t even bother to clean up), you don’t wear make up anymore, and since when did wearing chankletas become your thang? Sure, you call your self«Fresh», but if that is so, then why is there an unpleasant odor lingering at the once bustling food court? You welcomed everyone back in the day, but now you post signs that you don’t accept certain discount coupons? You melons are still fresh and«perky», but how come they are small. My hands didn’t grow bigger. Did you have a breakdown from all the masses who came to grope your melons and other fruit? Was it the fierce competition? You knew that there were other Asian ladies(namely the 99 R twins) in the area before you decided to move down to the corners of Tustin. You were unique. Was it that ever popular Korean chick from LA, Ms. Zion, who got your feathers all ruffled? If you are now sharing beds with Ms. Zion, at least stay true to the reason that brought you to the area; to provide fresh, Asian meat & big melons to us who are too lazy to drive«up» to Garden Grove(heck, forget about Vermont or even Colima). And now there’s that new younger girl, H something or other, who hangs out over near Alton & Jamboree. That place is bumping. I can only imagine how much she racks in each week. But don’t fret HK. I mean«Freshia». Go back to that classic style of yours and give us that sweet smile. That’s the one. Remember, we are simple people; fresh meat, ripe tomatoes, firm melons and lots of fresh green onions and cold drinks will make our day. Bring us back those, and people will come back. I know I will.

Wow, Freshia! It’s a good thing this store chain got bought up by Zions because the last time I visited, it was in a sad, sad state of affairs. Now this store seems to have gained a new life, is cleaner and it seems to be stocked better in the refrigerated, meat and produce sections. I walked away with $ 14 of groceries in three bags which equalled to almost a week of dinners for me. Nice going.

Freshia market is an awesome place to get korean food in the Tustin/Irvine area. The main reason I love this market over some of the other markets in the area is the meat! Freshia has the best variety of korean bbq marinated and raw meats. You can also get all the side dishes that you see at korean restaurants. If you are hungry, why wait? The food court is a great place to get restaurant quality food fast. There is a japanese, korean, and chinese restaurant. I recommend getting a big bowl of spicy seafood soup from the Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend for korean bbq meat. Much better and more reasonably priced than H mart and Zion market.

Well priced, across the board. I like their meat section where I can usually be pre-marinated kalbi at $ 3/lb. Produce is cheap and there is a good selection. I’ve seen swiss chard, brussel sprouts, and a good assortment of herbs — things pretty rare in an asian market. But I once bought ground pork and it was a little stinky. I’m not sure of the quality of their other meats.
