Best Indian food during the lunch for all you can eat. Don’t feel terrible afterwards about myself and the curry is really good.

Food is great, service is great. It’s wildly authentic but that can mean too spicy, so order with care! And don’t miss the Vindaloo.

My first time having Indian food and I’m glad it was here. Everything tasted delicious, our waiter was very attentive.

Chicken Tikka Masala — good not great. Not much chicken just mostly sauce — which isn’t quite as good as others in the area. The chicken itself was good quality there just wasn’t much of it! ⁴⁄₅.
Dal fry — more fried tasting than what I like in my yellow lentils and lacking in flavor. I had just one small serving and then now putting the rest in the fridge. Will be a struggle for me to go back and eat the leftovers ³⁄₅.
Raita — fairly thick as far as Raita goes. I liked this very well. ⁵⁄₅
Plain Naan — dry, not as soft as you want in your naan and a bit too burnt — but I smothered it in the masala sauce and that was acceptable substitute for any flavor in the bread itself. I wish I had just toasted the Trader Joe’s naan I had in the freezer! ³⁄₅
Delivery came on time — food was in the metal containers with the plastic lids and then also inside styrofoam containers for extra security. I wanted to branch out and try new places i should’ve just stuck with my tried and true Sunday Indian dinner! In all this wasn’t terrible. I think «A-​OK» describes it very well to be honest.

The food is actually good here and the Mrs. and I came here since there was a living social deal. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, a Shrimp Tandoori, wheat naan bread, and a mango lassi.
Even though the food was great, I found a piece of hair in my mango lassi when they brought it out. They did take the mango lassi back to the kitchen and exchanged it for a new one but their reaction made it seem like it was odd that a curly piece of hair was in the mango lassi. For the record,
When we received the bill… they left the mango lassi on the bill when most restaurant would have taken it off the bill.
It’s a shame as I do like the food for the restaurant but there are other indian restaurants with just as good reviews nearby. The incident didn’t make me want to come back and comb through their food or lassi for curly pieces of hair to be only charged later for it.

Lots of choices, vegetarian and non veg foods. Best for doing party and big groups as well as small meetings. Love this place because hospitality and food are best within Orange County.

Amazing customer service and food is delicious. Saroj was very sweet to give me a free Masala sauce even though I made a mistake in my order. The food was cooked perfectly though and the eggplant is to die for.
It’s my new favorite spot for Indian and it’s only .3 miles from my house. Yay!

I came here with two friends a few nights ago. We walked in about fifteen minutes before they closed (our bad– we didn’t check the hours). They were super kind about us coming in so late and said it wasn’t a problem at all. I was impressed because I’ve definitely been turned away in cases like this.
There was never even a hint of a feeling of being rushed. The service was superb. I was captivated by the Bollywood movies that were playing. And the food was amazing.
I will definitely come back here again, this time at a more reasonable hour.

Been horribly sick for the past two days and was looking for a restaurant that delivered. I noticed on Unilocal Indian kitchen did not deliver to my area but when I called they made an exception and took my order. Of course because I absolutely love their food I had to order all my favorites on the menu! Chicken vindaloo is a MUST! Always my go to! The aloo ghobi (cauliflower with potatoes) is also a must! All of their food is delicious and because I have a severe cold I also ordered the soup which is amazing! The spices they use are addicting! Everything is fresh and flavorful! I was extremely happy he delivered my food! A++++++ if u haven’t tried Indian food you have to check this place out! The best in OC that I have had. My meal for the next two days :) A HUGE THANK U TO MANAGEMENT FOR DELIVERING MY FOOD!!! Your delicious food made me feel better :)

Best North Indian joint I have been to around this hood !
When a North Indian restaurant makes some good Dosas you know they have some good food here !

Best Indian food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had ALOT of Indian food. Went for the lunch buffet which was literally as good as it gets — there were 6 – 7 vegetarian options alone (hallelujah! hallelujah! hallelujah!!) and probably 4 – 5 meat options plus salad, desserts, soup, and all the fantastic chutneys and sauces all for less than $ 10 a person. I swear if I lived in OC I’d come here every week. The quality and flavor of the food was top notch and our meal came with free naan. I can literally recommend all the dishes, but the sweet mango pudding was particularly delicious and unlike anything I’ve ever had. GO HERE NOW! YOU WON’T REGRET IT!

Outstanding food and service! The Chicken Tikka Masala was the best I have ever had. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The spices were delicious but not overwhelming. I tried both a spicy and a mild dish and both were excellent!
The manager, Saroj was very welcoming and very accommodating. They were very busy with catering and carry out while I was there and he very calmly handled everything with ease. He takes time to make sure everything is done right.
A delightful experience with culinary excellence!
I will definitely repeat.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in the Tustin/​Irvine area. We also like it better than a lot of places in Long Beach and LA. We’ve eaten here for dinner (menu) and for the lunch buffet.
Of course, dinner is always better because you custom order your dishes. Our favorite is the chicken makhani (think tandoori chicken in tikki masala sauce) and their goat curry.
For lunch buffets, they have a very good selection and are pretty consistent with their quality (vs. India Gate and Haveli). Service is attentive, and they seem to make sure everything is in stock. The tandoori chicken isn’t too dry like most other places for buffets, and the food isn’t too spicy.

The quality of food here is pretty good. The food is identical to the food being served at Annapoorna in Irvine and the India Gate Restaurant in Tustin as they all appear to be under the same owner. The goat curry was tender, tasted great, and didn’t have any gaminess. I enjoyed the tandoori chicken as well here, as it was juicy and had good marination. One dish that stood out for me was the Chili 65 Chicken. The chicken is lightly fried with some chilis providing a little bit of heat. I enjoy the desserts here, especially the mango pudding. The warm gulab jamuns (fried dough balls in a syrup) taste very good as well. There are so many good food options here, one will have a hard time choosing what to eat.

Service is great here and there is even a private section upstairs and downstairs for large parties. This location is able to accommodate about 150 people. So it makes it a great location for large gatherings. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant as well as some shared parking with other businesses in front of the restaurant. At $ 10 the lunch buffet is a great deal for any foodie, and I certainly will be frequenting this establishment!

Tried India Kitchen last night and I have to say, it has so far been the best Indian restaurant that we’ve tried in the O.C. area. :) They had a little party going on in their upstairs area which was fun to watch as we ate in the downstairs dining area. There were only two other couples dining when we went in on a Saturday night. There’s lots of parking and it should not be hard to find seating either. Prices are comparable to other neighboring ethnic restaurants.
If you can’t stand the heat, ask for mild. I love spicy food but my husband doesn’t like things to be too spice so we opted for medium. Medium was super hot! Don’t worry though. They’ve got the best mango lassi that you can use to balance out the heat. :) We surely did!
We tried their shrimp vindaloo and their aloo gobi. the shrimp vindaloo was delicious! There were 6 pieces of shrimp and big cubes of potato and tomato in a red sauce. So yummy! We also enjoyed their aloo gobi. It was dry but the shrimp was so saucy that we just mixed it all in. Their garlic naan was moist. We dipped it in the shrimp sauce. :)
All in all, amazing food and amazing service. The servers constantly checked in on us and made recommendations. We want to come back for their lunch special sometime soon. :)

It’s hard to get my dosa fix. Most indian places serve North Indian food. Here they serve BOTH, South and North Indian food.
I love LOVE their dosas, especially the spinach masala dosa! :)
It’s an amazing FILLing meal
They always give you papadum with two yummy chutneys.
Then a HUGE proper dosa filled with yummy spinach, potatoes, onions and spices that comes with a soup and two chutneys.
All which is gluten-​free and dairy-​free, yay :)
This is a nice seat down with amazing prices and service. A gem in my book.
Highly recommend, everthing is great here. Been back many times now with friends and everyone loved their chicken tiki masala, fish korma, mushroom masala just to name a few.

I ordered from India Kitchen through Doordash several months ago. Their menu is exactly the same as the one at nearby Annapoorna and India Gate, which leads me to believe these restaurants are operated by the same owner. However, the chefs at each location appear to have different cooking styles, and out of the three restaurants, I liked India Kitchen’s food the most.
The vegetable biryani that I received from India Kitchen was one of the best restaurant-​style biryani I’ve eaten this year. I asked for spicy, and the chefs seemed to take the request seriously, by including a heavy dose of whole spices cooked with the vegetables and basmati. The vegetables were not frozen type, rather freshly hand chopped, and did not include awkward varieties like zucchini and broccoli which I found in India Gate’s biryani. Onions fried to golden color gave the biryani a pleasant aroma when I opened the box. Compared to other biryani I’ve had, this one had the strongest garlic and ginger flavors. It would be a great flavorful dish to eat at a banquet or wedding.
Although the flavors exceeded expectations, the execution wasn’t perfect to place India Kitchen over the top. I ordered «Hyderabadi Vege Dum Biryani» and wrote a comment through Doordash to include raita and salan. When my delivery arrived, a return message «Biryani comes with raita only» was written on top of my takeout box. I found that strange because all the Hyderabadi biryani I’ve ordered in LA from Paradise Biriyani Pointe, Biriyani Factory, and Rasoi Curry Point have included an accompanying peanut-​based salan. I can’t imagine eating biryani without gravy, the two are almost always served together to complete the taste, especially since the rice was prepared quite dry.
Later, I revisited the restaurant’s website and noticed the description «cooked in Andhra style». It made sense after all, the inclusion of fried onions and the rice that was cooked very dry which is consistent with an Andhra biryani. Based on the biryani preparation though, I would suggest removing the word «Hyderabadi» from the menu.
Outside of this issue, I thought that India Kitchen was worthy of another visit. My take out order was presented overflowing in an aluminum pan, and the quantity was enough food for 2 meals. The portion was at least 25% greater than at other restaurants. For $ 11, it was a bargain.

Decent place for dinner.
We came here with a groupon deal one night for dinner and ordered 2 entrees with a side of naan. The food was tasty, portions are medium to smaller sized including the rice. The naan is also smaller as well and a bit dry. The service was nice, absent at times, drinks not refilled. The menu is pretty standard Indian food with popular options, prices are average and reasonable for the area. Their lunch buffet special seems to be a much better option than ordering a la carte during dinner.
Bathrooms are clean and parking was very easy.

My other half would rate this place 3 stars but I added one extra cause I liked the food more than he did! My other is Indian so he was quite the expert when ordering our food and knowing how it should be. This place was ok all in all and next time, we’ll try Rasoi!
Chicken Tikka Masala: We agreed this was quite bland, personally I might rather go to Natraj’s Tandoori because the masala there has much more spices.
Sambhar: Sauce to dip our dosa in was bland, not hot enough.
Coconut dip tasted like plastic, right out of the freezer, according to my other half.
We ordered the Cheese Masala Dosa. Dosa was way too thick, not crispy enough and too bland, cheese was no where to be found. The dosa is a long crêpe like sandwich.
Dahi Vada and the veggie manchurian were phenomenal and were our favorite entrees.
Dahi Vada: yogurt like bowl of maybe potatoes? I couldn’t tell what was in it but my other half really loved it!
Veggie manchurian: we had ours medium spicy and it sure was spicy! But this was absolutely delicious, tasted like orange chicken lol!
And we also had garlic naan! According to my other half, it was cold
We were he first customers for the dinner part of the night and then it got packed as time went by, our waters were always being refilled and they were consistent on checking up on us.

3.4 Stars! How can one not be a fan of their $ 10 lunch buffet? Sure, some dishes were a hit and some were a miss. However, what matters is that the ones I liked, I really enjoyed. The TANDOORI CHICKEN was tender and had a good marinade compared to another place I’ve been to — I appreciate that. I thought the meat of the CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA was borderline dry but the sauce made up for it and more. Imagine the struggle I endured trying to stop dipping the GARLIC NAAN into all that orange liquid. As far as the naan goes, I wish it was a little thicker. It almost had a consistency to that of a cracker where it was thin and crispy. I have to give it to them for serving it fresh and piping hot from the kitchen though. Plus, it’s hard to mess up the taste with all that garlic.
Service was spotty. The garlic naan could’ve been refilled quicker than they did. We had to flag someone down to ask for more. It also took a while for me to order the MANGO LASSI for servers being out of sight. For $ 2.95, it was good but could be better if it was cooler.
I like that the buffet setup has the sneeze guard which protects the food from foreign objects falling onto them. The downside is, the clearance level is too low making it hard to scoop out food into your plate.
Would I come back? I rarely crave Indian food and if I do, I wouldn’t make the drive here as there’s one in Irvine that I like better for the same price. But if in the area or in the company of the same people I dined here with… sure, why not!
