Southern California native, I moved to Orange at age 7 (1963), with my parents and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I went to California Elementary (where I was when I heard JFK was killed), then Taft for the Extended Learning Program. I went to Peralta Jr. High. Active in Boy Scouts of America, Life Scout. Spent a lot of time back packing in the Sierras, and white water kayaking expeditions In Utah and Idaho. I loved baseball and football. Played several years in east orange little league and orange youth football. I worked as a beekeeper for Orange’s Local Apiarist Keith Mobley. I played on Villa Park High’s first championship football team and graduated from there in 1974. After a year of undergraduate study at BYU, Lived in southern France for 2 years as a missionary. Became fluent in French and addicted to Brie Cheese and French bread. Once back in the U.S. I worked in aerospace. That is when I had my epiphany that I would be a Doctor of Chiropractic.
