It is important to remember that the costs (time and money) of ineffectively treating problems can far exceed the costs associated with receiving the proper and correct treatment the first time.

Staying In-​Network with some clinics may prolong your recovery. The copays you incur of $ 40 can run up with 3 visits/​week. The average time with a REAL PT is 10 min/​session. So for 45 mins with a PT you are in fact paying $ 90 – 120 and doesn’t include the deductible.

As an intern for Dr. Lin I have been able to witness him treat many patients. I can say confidently that he is one of the best. My dad was actually the one that found him. He was searching for a PT who could treat his shoulder pain. He had been struggling with the pain for a while and decided to get it looked at by Dr. Lin. Watching Dr. Lin work with my dad, it was obvious that he genuinely cared about about his patients. His friendly disposition and positive attitude made my dad and I feel comfortable right away.
Dr. Lin first observed his gait (walking) to figure out where the source of the problem was. He also introduced him to a more comfortable way to sleep as well as proper posture. He found that my dad’s shoulder pain stemmed from nerve disfunction. He began working on his nerves, which was something that was completely unfamiliar to me. However, his methods did work. My dad felt the results after just one treatment. One of the best features of Dr. Lin’s practice is that he helps patients create a better way of life that will help to prevent future pain and injuries. He really takes his time and keeps patients actively involved in their healing process. This helps create a better understanding of their body and how to take care of it. Throughout my internship I have witnessed countless successful treatments and have seen many happy patients because of Dr. Lin. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great PT!

I was recommended by a friend who could not walk anymore and she is doing just fine now. I went because I was a having a problem with my hip. The very first time he adjusted me I felt better. It’s incredible that you tell Dr. Lin where it hurts and he stars mapping out the main cause of your problem. I strongly recommend him because I feel he knows what he is doing. It’s like miracle when you get out of there and you feel a lot better.

My Dad was able to snorkel with me. For the first time in over A YEAR, he wasn’t in pain and had the mobility to actually get into the water.
That’s what Dr. Lin provided our family. Time with my Dad, doing something we loved. How awesome is that? (Well besides the fact my Dad lost his phone to the ocean, whoops, he was able to do every physical activity we did during the trip)
I had been needling my Dad to get checked out, as his shoulder had been bothering him for quite a while. His mobility was limited, and if he moved a certain way, jolts of pain would spread a grimace across his face. Finally convinced him to see Dr. Lin. He came out of the first appointment in high spirits, talking about how he felt comfortable and was glad he finally went in to see someone. But this just wasn’t any Physical Therapy center, this was help with a personal touch, almost like it was family helping out. You just cannot get that type of experience at any run of the mill therapy center.
There were several follow up appointments, with various exercises, and even «homework» so he could continue with his therapy. All along the way R&R kept up with him and after a couple of months he was able to get back to within a normal range of motion, just in time for a family vacation.
Five months later and he’s still in great shape with his shoulder. And I’ll definitely be letting anyone I know who is in pain to pay Rehab and Revive Physical Therapy a visit. You’ll have a great experience and be able to heal.
I cannot recommend them enough, and am happy to have my Dad in such a better state of health (both body and mind).

Two Unilocal pages filled with five star reviews says it all! Dr Lin is exceptional in his trade and his clients’ testimony reflects it. I came to see Dr Lin for my chronic head, neck and shoulder pain. After years of suffering and no improvement after trying no less than three physical therapists through my kaiser insurance, I was desperate for relief. What sets Dr Lin above the pack is his holistic approach and genuine interest in his clients’ health. He understands the connection not only between mind and body but the different interplay between your body parts/​systems as well. He listens to every detail and ailment in creating a comprehensive treatment plan that will truly resolve your pain!!! Aside from helping me with my head/​neck/​shoulder pain, I also got pregnant twice during my short span of treatment! While the first time I miscarried, the second one resulted in my beautiful baby girl! Dr Lin is convinced that it was his work that helped me to conceive. I’m not 100% convinced but why not give it a shot??? If I struggle with my next pregnancy, I definitely would try it again!!! Bottom line — go see Dr Lin. No problem is too big or too small!!!

This review is way over due! I have been seeing Dr. Lin over the past three months. He has helped me with my chronic pain issues. Overall, his knowledge and competency as a physical therapist, surpass medical standards.
Before meeting Dr. Lin my quality of life was poor. I could not sit or barely walk. However, after working with Dr. Lin I am now able to resume a functional quality of life. My pain has lessened tremendously and I now have «hope» for my life. Words can not express the gratitude I have for Dr.Lin.
He is a truly passionate and caring individual. He knows his stuff! He is the real deal. :) Go see him you will not be disappointed!

Dr Lin is the best physical therapist that I have ever been to. Here’s my story…
I had been to many so-​called experts over the last 10 years in an attempt to bring relief to my chronic pain issues, that I was starting to lose hope that I would ever be well again. I was dealing with a severe TMJ injury that I suffered while playing basketball. Dizziness, headaches, swallowing difficulty, eye pain, neck pain, numbness, vertigo, throat pain, the list goes on… I had all of these symptoms and much more as a result of that injury. The jaws balance the entire body and as a result my posture had become distorted over the years. This led to more injuries to the rest of my body. Tight shoulders led to shoulder injuries that may not have been so bad if my shoulders weren’t chronically tight and sore. I had a uneven hip, a bad knee that I injured while hiking downhill, and ankle sprains. My body was in disarray.
I had been to many doctors, dentist, massage and physical therapists over the years. None of them helped or worked. I had spent thousands of dollars out of my own pocket hoping that someone might be able to help me. Fearing that I was going to go broke I knew that I needed to educate myself with all the information about my condition that I could. I started to study anatomy and read books on TMJ disorders and muscle pain. I took what I learned and applied it on myself. Slowly but surely I was able to function again. I got myself back to where I could at least live a life again. I was at maybe at 60 percent. At that point, I knew I could only help myself so much. I needed to find someone that was well trained in TMJ treatments and someone who took the whole body into account.
I stumbled upon Dr Lin’s YouTube page by chance. I watched his videos and saw him treat someone with TMJD. I watched his other videos and he seemed very knowledgable. I decided I had nothing to lose so I made an appointment.
I knew Dr. Lin was going to be different when I first met him. Usually when I had been to previous so-​called experts I actually had to educate them about certain aspects of my condition. That’s a bad sign. Not so with Dr. Lin, he knew to take a whole body approach to my problem. Like a puzzle that needed to be solved Dr. Lin went to work deciphering my various ailments. I told him about certain injuries that I had and others he figured out on his own. That’s when I knew Dr. Lin was the real deal. He was tracing pain patterns back to their source. After my first session I felt an immediate reduction in my pain. I knew I was on the right path to recovery. I have since been to 8 or 9 sessions and I have improved rapidly. In a little less then 2 months I have made more progress than I have had in 10 years going to other therapist and doctors. I’m getting closer to being 100 percent and that wouldn’t have been possible without Dr. Lin.
Dr Lin comes with my highest recommendation. If I suffer any injuries in the future Dr. Lin will be the first person I go to. I just wish I had found him sooner.

Dr Lin is fantastic at what he does! That’s the short version of my review, if you have need of a physical therapist, go see him NOW.
My daughter, a dancer for 12 years, was experiencing severe back pain. She’d had some back issues over the years, addressed through chiropractic treatment. This time was different, though. She wasn’t responding to chiropractic, and the pain was getting worse. She was hurting even after a 3 week break from dance.
We switched to a new chiropractor, who seemed to help at first, but wasn’t able to get her fixed. After x-​ray and CT scan, it turned out she had a disk protruding up into the vertebra. The doctor recommended rest (no dancing) and physical therapy.
Enter a search through Unilocal for a great physical therapist. Sometimes, you come across a business with so many stellar reviews that you suspect they must be fake. I admit to having this thought when reading about the amazing Dr Lin, at Rehab & Revive. Well, I can tell you that the reviews are not fake, he’s the real deal!
My daughter began to feel better from the first appointment. It wasn’t the immediate fix we would have wished for, but injuries of this type can’t be fixed on the spot. Since she’d had no real improvement after months of chiropractic treatment, we were thankful she at least had some relief after just one visit with Dr Lin.
Dr Lin doesn’t just give you exercises to do and send you to a corner of the office to do them, he is hands on for the entire appointment. He troubleshoots what’s going on in your body, performs his magic to improve it, then has you do exercises to reinforce and help the fix stick.
It took quite some time, but improvement was steady. My daughter came to him unable to carry her books around school, crying at night from pain, having difficulty in every aspect of daily activities. I actually pulled her from school onto independent study because there were days she just couldn’t get out of the car and she was missing too many days. Within a few weeks, she was no longer in constant pain. Now, she isn’t back to dancing because of other obligations, but is able to think about dancing again, and she does the things other teens do without having to think about her back, and worry if she might hurt herself.
Dr Lin is great at diagnosing the things that have gone wrong in the body to cause pain, and figuring out how to make it better. He’s also a genuinely nice guy, and we’re so thankful to have found him. I had to write a review, and let anyone else looking for hope know that he’s your guy. Make your appointment as soon as you can, and feel better.

Dr. Lin goes above and beyond his duties as a physical therapist!
I don’t even know where to begin. I am a part time college student interning at three other physical therapy clinics and Dr. Lin is the one that I look most forward to going to every week. I love going into Dr. Lin’s clinic because I can see how Dr. Lin truly cares about his patients. During a sessions, he will give patients a wealth of information and is constantly thinking of ways of how to explain things more clearly and what would be most helpful to the patient. He never holds back. Dr. Lin has an incredible attention to detail, that it is almost freaky. His eye is so quick to catch the greater issue in his patients and most patients are usually incredulous, asking, «how did you know that is exactly where my pain is?»
I think one of the most amazing part about Dr. Lin is his attitude and behavior when he is not seeing patients. He prepares so much to help his patients! He is extremely accommodating to patient schedules (I wouldn’t want to work beyond my scheduled work hours!) He studies and restudies his anatomy and physiology charts to make sure he is serving his patients to the best of his ability. He already has a plan to your health and where he wants to take you right from the beginning. With his interns, he really pushes us to learn more and give us the experience and opportunity that he was not able to have as a student when he was pursing physical therapy.
Most patients will say they come to Dr. Lin as a last resort because all the physical therapy places they have been to have not worked for them. For myself, I had a lot of physical therapy in the past where I feel so frustrated about not knowing what was going on with my pain and my health and I am frustrated now to see patients at the other clinics coming in and are not improving. (Yet, most patients in other clinics that I have seen pretty much live at their physical therapy clinic like I did). It is so refreshing to come to Dr. Lin’s office where change really happens and things are constantly progressing!
For this review to be helpful, here is what you should expect on your first visit. With your first call, Dr. Lin already has an idea of what he needs to work on you. He will diagnose you and he will ask you about your goals and adjust his health plan for you according to your best interest of what you want for yourself. He will then give you exercises that are very very specific. I highly recommend Rehab and Revive and for you to come and check it out yourself!

Dr. Lin worked with my son after a traumatic arm injury. My son required pins, screws and wires to stabilize his arm. It was broken at the growth plate. After the surgery he had severe nerve damage and an inability to extend his arm. After working with Dr. Lin for a few sessions, he has been able to move and use his arm as if nothing happened. Nobody would ever know he ever had such a bad break. With the ability to properly extend his arm, his arm was then in a proper position to facilitate proper nerve healing. My son has full feeling and full ability to move his arm, fingers, wrist which were all a possibility of having permanent nerve damage. I cannot fully express my full gratitude! Thank you, Dr.Lin.

I would like to start by saying that I don’t typically leave reviews on Unilocal,however I feel so blown away by Dr justin Lin and his staff and feel it is important to spread the love.
I was struggling physically and emotionally with a chronic and acute SI joint and low back injury and looking for a PT. I am a super picky when it comes to who I choose and trust to treat my body, so I did my research! When I found and called rehab and revive and spoke to Justin personally he told me «we can and will get better together»!!
That is what I needed to hear and more importantly he meant it…
Dr Justin is like no other in this field of PT and it’s very hard to put in words all that he does. He has been trained with total excellence, has had amazing mentors, uses multi modalities and philosophies of healing, but beyond that Dr Justin has an intuitive ability to dive deeper into the source of the physical and sometimes emotional problem. He only works one on one every visit like a personal guide. Every session was embodied with focus, discovery, determination to get better, strength, love, support, creating the space for optimal healing and grace. With the understanding that the healing process has many layers and each visit the focus may have to shift.“
I will say I am completely on the mend. Mobility is coming back and pain is gone. I will be seeing Dr Justin for the rest of my life. Not to treat injury but to also prevent it!!!

I have a lower back injury that came on slowly over the span of a week. Got to the point I almost couldn’t walk, was in major pain. About 6 months of acupuncture and chiropractic helped, but I reached a wall and just wasn’t getting better. I found Dr Lin through Unilocal and gave him a call.
Dr Lin has made a tremendous improvement in my life. He was able to get my discs back in place and has guided me through my recovery all while avoiding surgery.
It’s been a long road, but I am able to run again now. I’m even coaching my sons soccer team and have joined an adult soccer league now.
Big thanks to Dr Lin, who knows where I’d be without him.

As an intern, I was able to witness enduring results that weren’t regularly seen at other pt clinics. I have volunteered at two other pt clinics and I have to say that I have yet to meet a physical therapist that is as interactive as Dr. Lin.
This clinic isn’t your average pt clinic. Being a one-​person practice and all, I can recognize that Dr. Lin is one to provide ultimate care for his patients. You will never catch Dr. Lin implement an exercise without his supervision like many other physical therapists (these physical therapists bestow the responsibility onto rehab aides). All implemented exercises are supervised so it can be correctly performed in the comfort of one’s home. The time spent at the clinic is strictly hands on, one on one, resulting in a lot more quality time than wasted time. The quality one on one sessions also allows Dr. Lin to provide clarity on what he is doing and to educate his patients on why he is doing so because he believes that educating a patient gives them power to rehabilitate themselves.
My standards of a physical therapist began to change as I continuously observed Dr. Lin’s rehab methods. The amount of knowledge and expertise that Dr. Lin applies to his techniques (of functional manual therapy and neuromuscular re-​education) is the next-​level rehab service available only at Rehab and Revive. That is the defining difference that puts Dr. Lin ahead of other physical therapists. It is the confidence in his knowledge and expertise that allows him to take on any debilitating injury without fail.
Being in the presence of someone of high standards is one of the greatest opportunity that any pt intern can ask for. It serves as a reminder that this is the result of high level pt mastery, something that I hope to achieve so I, too, can someday provide the same level of satisfaction as Dr. Lin.

I recently started going to Dr. Lin and I have already seen an huge difference in the way I walk, the way I talk, and how I feel on a day to day basis. I had been in a car accident about 7 months before I met with Dr Lin and I had been struggling with stomach problems for my entire life. So my brother in law recommended that I go see Dr. Lin. The stories that my brother in law told me about his experience made me a little apprehensive but then I looked up his video’s on youtube and I was amazed. I knew this was going to be something that could really help me.
My entire left side of my body had been compressed deeply from my car accident and Dr. Lin knew right away there was something wrong on my left side the minute he saw me walk. He has been correcting my body to do the proper motions and to stay in the correct spot. I now have full motion in my left side. It is all still a work in progress but I can feel myself getting stronger and growing more healthy and stable again.
Dr. Lin has also been helping me with my stomach problems. I have had stomach problems my entire life. I became lactose intolerant within the last 4 years and it has gotten worse ever since. After Dr. Lin Corrected my intestines and put them back in the right place I have been feeling 100 times better! I can eat with out feeling sick and I don’t hardly ever have stomach issues any more.
So far i have had 6 sessions and I have 4 more to go. Dr. Lin has been guiding me along the way step by step wether it’s through one on one appointments with him or my own personal exercises he gives me for when I’m at home. He goes directly to the source of the problem and gives it an active effort to help the problem heal. So far everything is healing smoothly with the help of Dr. Lin and my own will power to keep getting healthier. I give him and his crew 5 stars!

5 stars. I came in to treat my chronic upper back/​neck pain — not only did Dr. Lin alleviate my symptoms, but he also taught me how to prevent my pain from coming back.
Since I went through his program, 3 things have changed for me:
1. I’m better aware of my body, posture, and things that can aggravate my muscles
2. Past triggers that would usually cause my back and neck pain now do not occur as often
3. I learned new techniques that prevent the problem in the future
I’ve been through chiropractors and other physical therapists. Dr. Lin was the only one who was able to find the root cause of my problem and executed a treatment plan to get me where I am today.
He is a very skilled doctor and looks for the root cause, rather than giving you a superficial treatment.
He is pretty expensive because you are paying out of pocket, but the cost are commensurate to your treatment results.

I thought carefully before updating my review, but I feel I wouldn’t be true and fair to myself if I didn’t.
I work as an actress and model in LA and I have a very complicated schedule. Most of times I receive my schedule for the next day, only at the end of the day before. Sometimes I even receive calls from agent/​bookers telling me I need to be at some audition or casting in a few hours.
Of course, my job makes very difficult to plan my weeks. I told the staff of the clinic about it but I was advised to schedule my appointments in advance (I had a 15 sessions package) because Dr. Lin is very busy and if I didn’t schedule for the next weeks, I wouldn’t have a session.
For those reasons the 24h clinic police for canceling or re-​scheduling an appointment didn’t work well for me. I agree in charging even the entire session if the patient did a «no call, no show» or when the patient arrives very late, which I did once because of LA traffic and I had only 10 min of session with Dr. Lin. No problem, I paid full session without a word.
But I had to re-​schedule and the first time, Dr. Lin told me he would not charge me the $ 80 fee if I give him a good review on Unilocal (The previous one I had here). Also asked me to upload pictures on my personal accounts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, which I did.
He asked me to upload a picture every time I went for a session (2x/​week), but I said it was too much.
The second time I needed to re-​schedule he charged me the $ 80 fee, even if I called 18 hours in advance.
When I complained about the charge I was told 18 is not 24 hours and he would not have time to schedule another person. Also complained to me about the «15 sessions package» I purchased (The price of each sessions are cheaper because it’s a package!!) and also because of me, he was losing money.
Nonetheless, he decided to stop my treatment in the middle for personal reasons.
To be clear, Dr. Lin is a good PT and I can still recommend him if you have an impeccable schedule, if you never complain about anything and if you don’t mind using your social media for his clinic. But if you are a professional with complicated schedule, it can be very stressful and expensive.

Dr. Lin is fantastic. His staff is very friendly. He is caring, well educated and probably the most professional and knowledgeable therapist I have ever met.
Dr. Lin guided my dad to strengthen his weak muscles and problem area, exercises that improve his strength, balance and coordination too. He was spot-​on with the therapy my dad needed and I was able to see improvement on my dad.
My dad now walks better and has better balancing as well as his self-​confidence. The work he does for people comes straight from his heart.
I’m so glad we met Dr. Lin and I would absolutely have my dad continue his session with him and would also recommend my friend and family to him.

Terrible reschedule policy… Night before in advance is not acceptable. Need at least 24 hrs. If you’re 1 hr late, forget about it. Very difficult working with a owner that is a penny pincher. Need a Dr that cares about taking care of their patients and not trying to count pennies.
He told us to go on Unilocal and other social media outlets to give him reviews to remove the $ 80 charge for rescheduling. I have no problem paying for a no call no show, but I have an issue when I’m getting charged $ 80 for call the night before.
Nice staff, though Dr Lin still has a lot to learn about treating his patients with respect. I told him it’s easier to make up 1 appointment than losing 15 appointments including referrals. We have referred people here before, no longer will that happen.
Our referral was not happy either. She will no longer go as well. It’s important that people are aware before they choose their PT. There are many out there that are more customer service centric while running a profitable practice.

Dr. Lin is definitely an amazing therapist. He would never do some little trick to make you feel better but have to go back again and again to keep that feeling. He always tell the patients that «at least 70% effects depend on your effort». He does not only relieve your pain, but also tells you how to do exercise to prevent it. What’s more, he tells you how to make yourself stronger and live in a healthy way. His whole theory about «connected systems in body» still influences me in my life.
Also, he is a very nice person. He is very funny with endless jokes and smile. For the every time I took treatment, he always encourage and inspire me to keep working on my exercise and practice whether I finished the «assignment» he gave me or not. He’s kind of guy that always makes you believe in yourself for recovering.
Before I met him, my pain at lower back had lasted for 6 or 7 years. I had tried acupuncture, X-​ray, massage even something voodoo. I have got tons of different diagnosis and analysis for the reason. for most of them I never believe. When I went to Dr. Lin with doubt, he gave me a new theory for my pain. But for the first time, I got the way to recover. Followed his instruction, I changed my posture, did exercise, changed my chair, changed my diet, even changed my car. Magically, I did started to get better for my pain! After about 2 months, I totally recovered from it! Until now, I never get suffered from it again.
So if you are like old me that suffered from some pain or disfunction, while searching for a good therapist to save your life, don’t hesitate! Dr. Lin will never make you regret.

Ive been interning at rehab and revive for a few months now and the experience has really opened my eyes to the brilliance of physical therapy. As a prospective student of physical therapy, Dr. Lin has been a great mentor who really respects and honors the profession. Ive seen patient after patient improve at both the understanding of their own bodies and how to become more efficient at whatever it is they like to do.
Despite being initially skeptical of functional manual therapy and its seemingly simple techniques, learning more deeply about the reasoning behind them has revealed its logic. Dr. Lin’s understanding of the connecting processes of the body with our daily lives shows every patient the cause and effects of their habits. Both injury and chronic pain have their own underlying causes and Dr. Lin always identifies them. Simply by determining my back pain stemmed from a lack of ab initiation and sleeping position and performing a few fmt techniques my back pain of two years disappeared in only a few minutes.
It’s truly been a blessing working under Dr. Lin. Many people come to Dr. Lin only after seeing other therapists who gave them a couple exercises and a heating pad to find their pain still there. Save yourself the time and money and come see Dr. Lin first!
