The only MMA gym in orange county that offers the real science of boxing. Established in 2003 OC Boxing Academy offers what other MMA gyms don’t. Everyone is treated with respect and given plenty of attention. From amateur boxing to pro boxing, amateur mixed martial arts to UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator we have trained fighters from every fight organization. We also offer original proven techniques that are unknown by most MMA practitioners so that you can have a tactical advantage over your opponents. Here everyone is treated like a pro but you don’t have to be a fighter to train with us. Our classes are open to everyone at all levels whether its for self defense or competition. Our classes are designed by real fighters with real fighting experience, even the cardio kickboxing class was developed by 2 time heavy weight muay thai champion Fahness Lutalo, who also has the most successful instructional boxing video to ever hit you tube and has even been displayed on fox 11’s Good Day LA.

First of all, this gym is the gym Rocky Balboa would train at if he were in the OC!!! It’s a minimalist gym, only equipped with the stuff champions are made of. I don’t live in the OC, but I’m here from time-to-time for work and visiting friends. Fahness was awesome and gave me a week pass.
Second… I had a personal session with Fahness (at a definite steal of a deal !! For his level of coaching, seriously, I was glad to pay his rate!). In one hour, I learned a month’s worth of boxing! He not only cleaned up what I was doing, but also sent me off with things I can do on my own.
I’ll be back here when I’m in the OC for sure!

My five star rating is for Coach Fahness and his obvious love and passion for this sport. I started at this gym one month after having a baby as I had gained 35 pounds during the pregnancy. Now, after 3 months of attending the cardio kickboxing classes (twice a week), I have already lost 25 pounds! I am almost back in my skinny jeans!
To be honest, the facility itself is not much to write home about but Fahness’ dedication to his members and commitment to this gym is unparalleled. When I walk into this gym, I feel like it is my second home. The regulars get treated like they are family. Additionally, the monthly rates are more than reasonable, especially given that there are no registration fees or cancellation fees!
If you are looking for a good workout within an amazing community, this is the place to be. I highly recommend that you give it a try – there’s no risk involved since he offers a free 2 week trial.

I found the OC Boxing Academy by chance last December, not thinking I would commit to any kind of membership, but rather, I was simply interested in seeing what kickboxing was all about.
Initially, I was intimidated entering the gym as a female in a male-dominated sport & since I had never even thrown a punch before. However, that fear immediately dissipated as I was welcomed by Fahness & the other coaches.
Soon after that first class I signed up for a monthly membership. What started as a seemingly fleeting curiosity turned into something I look forward to on a daily basis. I recently joined Muay Thai as well, and I only wish I had more time for the other classes that are offered. Here are a few things that have made my experience at OC Boxing Academy great:
–Environment: It’s serious without being intimidating.
–Staff: They push you to your max, inspire confidence, & are incredibly knowledgable & helpful with technique & strategy. Also, I never felt pressured to join the gym & was never treated as a potential source of commission.
–Classes: Engaging, challenging, & fun. Every class is a great workout!
–Price: As far as I know, this gym offers the best prices. I pay $ 69 a month for unlimited Cardio Kickboxing & Muay Thai classes.

I have trained at several gyms in the OC over the years but absolutely love training here. I like the personalized teaching you get. I take the boxing and mma class and learn something new every time I train. Fahness is the real deal. He really focuses on what works and shows you why it works. Everybody that trains there is really nice too which makes it feel like a team.

I want to start off by saying this is the best gym to train at in Orange County and Los Angeles I have been training at this gym for a little over a year. Its not your typical gym its more like a extended family. Mr. Fahness is one of the best coaches and gym owners around, he is relatable, full of knowledge and experience. Fahness has been my coach for 5 years. I first came to him with the intention of learning mixed martial arts. After a few months of boxing i realized how much i loved it and decided I would dedicate my time to the sweet science alone. My goal was then to compete in the amateurs, which i did after about 3 years. My transition these past few years has been truly amazing. Not only have I learned from a world class instructor with over 30 years experience in various martial arts, but I have become a part of a community of great people, some of which i would consider my own family. It has been an absolute pleasure growing under Fahness. With him and the help of his other amateur fighters I have not only been able to develop my skills in a sport i love, but have begun to assist in coaching others get to their goals as well. Fahness is the best coach. He really knows his boxing and is pretty much family. The people here are amazing especially the people on the fight team. I’ve had the blessed opportunity to have found this gym because if it wasn’t for Fahness I wouldn’t have a dream as big as I do right now. I love everybody at this gym because pretty much everybody is like family and Fahness is one you can’t forget. I’ve learned the utmost discipline and work ethic from this place alone I feel I’ve gotten to place I wouldn’t have without Fahness. I want to be a world champion and Fahness is helping me get there. He always has answers to my questions and shows me what I need to do. If you want to learn how to box come over and he’ll show you because he’s really funny and cool with everybody. The gym is great too we have a lot of bags and space. Fahness is the best coach in OC!

This place is the real deal. I found OC Boxing Academy when my old coach moved and now I couldn’t be happier. I’ve had the worst hook forever. Coach Fahness fixed my lousy hook and is now in the process of making me the best I can be. His instruction is not only insightful but honest, and can break down the material so you not only understand how to do something, but why you want to do something the way he is showing you. And trust me, the man has the patience of a saint. Best of all you will learn, no matter your age or skill level.
The facilities are first rate. This place has everything necessary for proper instruction.
If you are looking to try boxing, jiujitsu, kick boxing, muay thai, learn self defense or just get into shape in a fun way, this is the place.
