I’ve been using William’s service in the last sixteen years, when his shop was still in the Heritage Plaza in Irvine. He’s a great serviceman. What he can do, he’ll say so and do. What he cannot, he’ll say so, too. He does not try to sell nor charge you for unnecessary works. I would always bring my needed-​fo-​repair electronics to him. Recently, we brought in the bulb of our DLP Sony TV, which costs about $ 100 new. Since the bulb is still clear and shiny inside, he tried and was able to fix it for us by replacing the inner filament by tandem. His price: Free. He devoted about half an hour with craftsman skills and know-​hows for the fix. Service like this is rare.

Great guy, he knows what he is doing! Was trying to have him diagnostic my FANUC system 3M power supply board A20B-1000−0410, he really went through every single circuity trying to find out which part shorting on there. we have our guess on part Fanuc FA8141 ZIP part. Finger crossed, Great guy! definitely go to him for electronic repair!

I had Canon XL-​H1 professional video camera used for television production that was sitting in storage, had a missing screw and loose handle. It was about 9 years old and worth probably $ 1,500, so I figured I’d get it fixed and then sell it on eBay or CL.
I took it to the Canon Factory Service Center in Irvine and was quoted $ 300 and 2 weeks for the repair for parts and labor! There was a screw missing, but also a crack in the inside, and it was well out of warranty.
So I left, sat in my car, and pulled up Unilocal to find alternate options, as I had already committed the entire day to driving down for LA to get this thing fixed. Phoenix Audio Video came up, and I called right away. A polite lady answered and said come by any time. I showed up there 15 minutes later, around 2:00pm. William said he would take a look at the camera and call me with details and a quote. I left the camera, and received a call from Phoenix 30 min later with details of what work was needed (William said he could replace the screw glue the cracked plastic panel) — $ 120 and pick up in two hours. I said go ahead, and showed up at the shop 2 hours later.
The camera was fixed, as promised and these guys saved me $ 180! I was glad to support this mom and pop shop, they were polite, did a great job, and totally reasonable in price. If you have a Canon camera or camcorder that is out of warranty and in need of service or repair, I recommend you check this place out before you dish out any big bucks for repairs or diagnostics.

Best service and extremely reasonable. Took my TV in and right away he took off the back and told me he could repair it in 30 to 45 minutes. I could wait or come back, the choice was mine. It was well worth fixing, it was better than buying a new TV. Don’t just take my word for it, look at the other revues everyone has given this business 5 stars and an excellent revue. Doesn’t get any better than that. I went there because I read the revues on Unilocal and it paid off. William is the nicest guy you will ever want to meet, a true believer in customer service.

I had some difficulty finding the business, in part because Unilocal took down the only review that had the new address in it. :(The business is now at 2670 Walnut in Tustin. As you’re driving south on Walnut, you pass 2620 and then the next building is 2680. So turn in between the two buildings, and Phoenix is the first office in the row of offices behind the 2680 building. They have a sign at ground level in front of their door.
I took my 15″ TV in because it had no audio. William said he hadn’t worked on a TV that small for two years. I believe him, because they’re hard to find. I paid him $ 15 to diagnose the problem. He called me that afternoon and said he needed to order an amplifier, and it would take a week to get it. I called a week later and he said the amplifier hadn’t worked, but he thought he had figured out the actual problem, and if I wanted to pay him another diagnostic fee of $ 15, he would get the right part in. Normally that would make me suspicious, but it’s not exactly as if he was trying to rob me blind.
He did, in fact, get the problem fixed a week later. He charged me a minuscule fee for his labor. I told him I wanted to make sure that he was making some profit, and he waved me off. I can’t imagine another repair shop charging less than at least three or four times what I paid him. I feel as though he did some good honest work for a very low price. If I ever have another electronic problem with any of my equipment, William is the first person I will consult.

I just had my Adcom pre amp fixed by William.
I orignally took it to a place in LA that is an Adcom certified repair shop that specializes in vintage and ultra high end audio. They had ultra high end prices to match.
I drove back to the OC and took the pre amp to William. He took great care and a lot of time to make sure everything on the vintage piece was working perfectly and charged me 70% less than it would have cost in LA. William is a very humble man. After talking to him for awhile he shared that he got his start in High End audio back in Taiwan and has worked on the all the major brands. It is it nice to know that there is still someone who take pride in his work, takes great care in what he does and delivers quality at a very fair and reasonable price. Iwould not hesitate to bring any piece of audio /​visual equipment. I will use him again.

These are truly honest business people. I took my Samsung television to them and William explained the two possible problems quite thoroughly. I understood the problems even though I am not as technical as I would like to be. Instead of not explaining the problem and leaving me in the dust he made sure I knew what was wrong. The screen was the problem so it would have cost more than the TV was worth and he told me that. I greatly respect him helping me and being so honest. They told me where to go to buy a television, what brand, and what warranty to purchase. I was very happy going to Phoenix. I will recommend all my friends to go there!

My parents have been coming here for 10 – 15 years for all of their tv/​receiver/​electronics issues, and now that I am out of college and earning my own income, etc I am now a client of his as well. This Chinese man and wife are the most honest, genuine people in the sometimes scummy TV repair business! Really, go nowhere else.
$ 15 diagnostic fee which is far less than the $ 40 or $ 45 other places will charge you, and when he could not fix my «46 Sony Bravia LCD HDTV due to the repair cost being worth more than the TV itself, he not only demonstrated this issue on several other TVs in the same generation/​nearly the same model as my TV, but he also waived the diagnostic fee and let me out of there for free, and even carried my tv back to my car for me which was completely unnecessary (I am a decently built). Honesty, courteousness, professionalism, straight-​shooter.

For home theater diagnosis and repair William is my go to guy. He provides great service and pricing.

I have a Denon A/​V receiver that suddenly does not have audio output any more. I checked Denon’s contracted service stations but decide not to go there because of their bad reviews. Luckily, I found and talked to William at Phoenix Audio/​Video. He only charges a minimal $ 15 diagnostics fee not like others which normally charge $ 50 to $ 80. I left my unit there and it took William less than a week to fix my unit. The total repair cost was very reasonable compared to other stores. From chatting with him, I found he is knowledgeable about audio device because he used to own a store to sell high-​end audio devices. He also fixes HDTV and CD stereo systems. His store is also an authorized dealer of Direct TV and Dish Network. You may want to check with him regarding the promotion programs. He is very flexible on scheduling. By the way, they just move to the other location. You should call them to find the new address. The address listed on the google is not correct.

Phoenix video service is excellent. If you want your video equipment (whatever kind) fixed promptly and at a fair price. I could not recommend them higher. Old school service with the newest technology.
They are absolutely the best! I’ve been using them for 20 years.
