I just happened to be near this optometry office when I accidentally sat on my Ray Ban aviators sunglasses and bent both arms…
I went in and showed my glasses and the front office lady, Evette brought her tools and fixed it without a hesitations and didn’t charge me anything. Thank you Evette! Made me wanna come back for my next checkup!

I really like Dr. Kleinberg — he’s personable and very knowledgeable. He prescribed the perfect prescription for me. Other optometrists I have been to in the past never seem to get the prescription just right.
The office is small, but comfortable. My experiences with the staff have been OK. Other than the Doctor, nothing in particular stands out to me.
The prices at Dr. Kleinberg’s are steep. I go in once a year for the standard + contact lens exam, and I order a year’s supply of contact lenses. I was going to go back this year, but thought I would do a little bit of cost comparison before going back. It seemed really high last year…
What I found out is that ordering contact lenses at Dr. Kleinberg’s office is super expensive. And so, I decided to try another optometrist, and ended up with a good experience along with costs that are far more fair.
My out of pocket cost with Dr. Kleinberg is typically north of $ 225; my out of pocket cost with a different office, for the same service, is $ 90. I’ve had the same insurance coverage for years.
Based on the extreme cost difference, I can’t go back to Dr. Kleinberg’s. I don’t mind paying a little more for a doctor that I prefer, but, 250% more in costs for end to end eye care with Dr. Kleinberg is unreasonable.

My husband and I really liked the doctor here but it’s too bad that we moved 30 miles away. When we called to get our prescription faxed or emailed to us, the doctor said he’d send it but never did. We called back to request it again and we were told that he only writes the prescription for a year and they won’t send it to us because it expired a month ago. I explained I wanted my prescription for my own medical records, the receptionist said well you guys have insurance so you can get an exam. Maybe I would have liked to have seen how my prescription has progressed…
I should still be able to see what my prescription was even if it’s expired. I’ll let VSP know about the service at this office. Sounds like they don’t care much if it seems like you won’t be coming back to their office.

I am SO happy I finally went to Dr. Kleinberg! I was fine with the doctor I was seeing for the past few years. No complaints. Well, one night my adorable dog bit my lenses in the middle of the night and I couldn’t see without my glasses. I posted on Facebook asking for help. Several people said «Dr. Kleinberg, he’s the best!» Well, first I will say his office assistant could not have been nicer. So friendly. And what they said about Dr. Kleinberg was so true! I took my prescription to get filled and when I picked up my glasses I could see perfectly! I usually need time to adjust and get a headache at first but not this time. So happy I saw Dr. Kleinberg. I would highly recommend him.

I find the staff here to be pretty rude. I came to renew my prescription and when I chose to go elsewhere for contacts, they hesitated. The receptionist had me wait for over twenty minutes to have the prescription signed. When I asked if she could call me when it was ready, she said she was too busy. I guess she was too busy talking to her coworker (who is half her age) about her dating life. Please grow up and start buying professional attire, it is an office setting, not a club.

Love this place, Doc. And staff and both very helpful, accommodating, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I run in for glass repaired or tightening, and stop by every year for vision check ups for the past 3 years and they are just so kind every time. Very happy with this place!

I’ve been going here for 3 – 4 years since I moved to OC. Yeah, Dr. Kleinberg is funny. But, the products are so expensive — stay away from ordering anything from the doctor’s office! Through online shopping, I’m learning now that I’ve been overpaying for my contact lenses. Even with insurance, you can get a much better deal with outside vendors (eg. 1800contact or Vision Direct)
What’s worse is if your prescription needed to change mid-​year, there is no return or exchange policy! (which other doctor offices offer. even those online vendors) I happen to be in a situation where the doctor misjudged my eye sight and now I’m stuck with a bunch of useless contact lense boxes that I overpaid for. I’m disappointed, Dr. Kleinberg. I can’t recommend this place.

The staff here is the nicest! I’ve never got glasses here (though I plan on doing that in the future, because they are so nice!), but twice I have had them replace a screw on my frame, and they refused to accept any payment. I was in awe. What a rare occurrence! I will be back! Thank you!

Dr. Kleinberg is awesome and hilarious. I have been going here for years and honestly, I look forward to it.
His assistant is incredibly nice and helpful to and seems to actually enjoy interacting with people, which is rare to find now.
I don’t wear glasses much, mostly contacts, but the only potential complaint I can see (pun intended) is that they don’t have the best selection of glasses. Otherwise, perfect!!!

Dr. Kleinberg was so friendly and personable! His exam was quick but I never felt rushed! I didn’t have to wait at all, although I was the first appt. I have been wearing glasses for over ten years and have never been this pleased with an optometrist office. The staff was also VERY nice and helpful. I had as much time as I needed to pick out frames and never once felt pressured to add on extra expensive items. I also really liked the selection of frames!!!

What can I say. Dr. Kleinberg is simply the best optometrist I’ve ever been to. His sarcasm, seriousness, and his ability to help the customer with their every need are just some examples of the excellent qualities he posesses. Hopefully you strongly consider Dr. Kleinberg as your eye doctor because he will not let you down. I Promise.

Dr. Kleinberg is the best and I’ve been to tons of optometrists… been wearing glasses since I was 10… I’m now, well, let’s just say I’m over 20. Oh and he’s not one of those stuffy mechanical doctors either… he’s a funny guy.
There is a good selection of frames, but if you want one in a diff color, he’ll order it for you so you can see it w/​no obligation to buy. I ended up buying 2 new frames cuz I’m real picky & just loved both. He even had put one of my frames on hold for like a month cuz my insurance hasn’t kicked in & one if the frames I wanted was discontinued so I didn’t want the possibility of somebody else buying them. I won’t go to anywhere else

I have been coming here for the last 3 years and I love Dr. Kleinberg. He always tells me exactly like it is, doesnt sugar coat or try to sell me on expensive un-​necessary things. If I need to call in because I am worried, his office lady is super helpful, and they both do whatever they can to keep my out-​of-​pocket costs to a minimum. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes, and the appointments are quick!

After moving here, I tried to do my ‘homework’ in searching out a new doctor for my optometry needs in Orange County; but, for me, this was a rare case of making a bad call. I checked several businesses in the Tustin/​Irvine area, and choose this office because they had the ‘best price’ (just trying to be honest here!) for the basic services I needed for a contact lens prescription. I knew the services I needed, and wanted the best value possible since I was paying for this out-​of-​pocket. Never had any problems with simple eye care in my former place of residence.
However, after my exam I was told that the fee I was quoted over the phone didn’t include everything. I should have left the office right there and then, but I didn’t want to have to spend time going through another exam with someone else. Big mistake!
During the ensuing months there was a constant stream of (as the doctor admitted) «mis-​communications»: calls weren’t returned, followup requests for different styles of contacts to sample/​try was terrible or nonexistent, etc. I just don’t have a lot of confidence in the ability of this shop to get it right.
I have another doctor now, and haven’t had ANY issues with «communication» on any level, or «attitude» when it comes to providing great service (from staff or the doctor). Costs are now less as well, which is always a nice plus.
I hope when you do your homework you have better luck than I did in this case! There are a LOT of great doctors out there that want your business, and will provide outstanding service at a great rate … just avoid this office.

I just had a great experience here. Dr. Kleinberg was so friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 30 minutes too. No waiting.

This office is fantastic! My children love Dr. Kleinberg, and I am always pleased with my visits as well. They are extremely friendly, and equally important, Dr. Kleinberg is extremely thorough. You don’t feel as if he is blowing off your concerns. He gives his suggestions in a fun, non-​pushy way. This place seems to be a hidden gem, as we are always able to get an appointment within a few days.
Highly recommended!

This is a fairly decent sized office and it’s a place I wouldn’t even know to go to had it not been recommended to me. I made an appointment on Monday and I got to see the doctor within a few days. Right when I got in, I filled in some paperwork, and after the receptionist looked at my forms for about a minute, the doctor came out and was ready for me. Dr. Kleinberg is such a nice guy. It wasn’t all business with him and he really does a good job in making you feel like you’re welcome there and you feel like you’ve already been a patient of his for a long time. He takes his time with you, answers any questions you might have, but the appointment doesn’t seem to drag along either.
Afterwards, the receptionist does a good job is pulling up all of your insurance stuff (stuff I rarely understand) and goes through all your benefits and things that would be covered. She didn’t try to haggle me into getting things that I don’t need and she really did do her research to try and get me the best deal possible.
Ohh and my new contacts are here and ready for me to pick them up and it’s been less than a week!
I would come back here again!

Usually going to see a doctor of any sort is a real drag, not so at the office of Dr. Kleinberg at Tustin Market Place Optometry. He delivers his insightful recommendations and direction about the quality of my eyes and vision in a thorough yet relaxed manner. I definitely enjoy my time there and wish that all of my doctor visits were this enjoyable.
I can’t recommend Dr. Kleinberg more highly.
