Worst moving experience of my life. Sorry for the long explanation, but please read if you care about the quality of workers when handling your belongings. Two men arrived in their moving truck around 8am in the morning. They had to pack half a kitchen, one bedroom, half the living room it took them about 4.5 hours to do, which seemed a little slow considering we put a lot of things in boxes already and moved things into areas that was to make the process more efficient. I did not mind them taking their time in the kitchen since majority of the items being packed were fragile. They said that the driver would come back to pick up everything they packed, which seemed a little odd considering that they brought a truck. Again, I did not fuss about it because they stated they were only there to pack. Around 4pm I decided to call them asking when they would return to pack everything. I spoke to a man who seemed to be the manager and apologized stating there was a mix up with the drivers and asked if I wanted them to «go over now? or later?» Well of course they needed to arrive immediately because we had a prior commitment to attend. They arrived with 5 men(three who were looked to be very young) and a woman who kept track of the inventory. They did NOT wrap the doors to minimize damage to the structure or to our property. They brought things straight from the house into the garage to label, then move onto the truck. Not even 20 minutes into the loading process they break the two side panels to our guest bed. At the scene, they did not apologize, did not seem sorry. The woman just gave me the phone number to call on Monday since the office would be closed until then. After that I decided to take pictures of the big furniture pieces and watched them as they continue to be rough with our belongings. They ran out of room to load our new leather reclining couch so they used the second truck they brought to load it. The women left to go get the keys to the truck since apparently they had the wrong keys. They decided to get the couch onto the driveway. The doorway was not wrapped nor was the couch wrapped to protect the leather from being damaged. They forced the couch through the door ripped the couch on the top and bottom corners. They acted like nothing happened. I asked them about the rips and what to do about them. They stated,“Used leather cleaner… That’s what insurance was for and they will replace it.” I’m sorry but I thought this was a professional moving company, just because I have insurance does NOT give you the right to be rough with my belongings and damage them. They had no remorse. They finally received the keys to the truck and loaded the couch hastily without covering it or securing the couch to the truck. I figured they would at least secure it being it was the only item in the truck. They left without any type of professionalism in saying«Have a nice day!» We were given this moving company for a military move across country. I called the manager on Monday following this incident. He seemed a little more apologetic that we had two damaged items before they were even on the truck. If you have the opportunity to DENY this moving company, please do.
