Tybee Jet Ski

Prices were high because they were the only place in the area. The are we could ride in was small. It was fun going with my wife but I didn’t like that we couldn’t go to the beach. I know that’s a Georgia rule so next time I’ll just go in a different state.

Hubby really really wanted to go out on jet skis so we checked out where we could go. This is the only place on Tybee that you can take out jet skis. The people who run it are friendly and helpful. They have packages and deals so that you can go out for an hour, get lunch, and the kayak the rest of the day but it’s $ 99 per person even if you double up. We didn’t choose to do that but we took another deal they had that let us ride two people on one for about $ 120 rather than $ 99 per person. Also, you can switch when out in the ocean and let the other person drive as long as both people have given them their licenses.
If you’ve never gone jet skiing then I highly recommend it. It’s a lot of fun and hubby and I enjoyed it a lot more doubled up than each of us separate. They have 100ft distance rules you have to follow which means you can’t come up next to each other and talk from different jet skis. It was hard enough hearing each other with both of us on the jet ski together, so talking across to other people was pretty much impossible. We got to see some dolphins though we didn’t have any come up to us (of course we rarely stopped). No sharks, luckily, and we never fell off, though it was close.
Both hubby and I had a blast going full speed across the area they give you. You can’t go near the beach due to new laws in Georgia but it was still fun. You can bring your dog out with you as well, which is something I’ve never seen. They take pictures of you out on the water and show you the two best. You can buy them either $ 8 each (without frame) or if you have a USB you can buy them $ 5 for the first one and $ 4 for each afterward. Luckily I had a USB so we got all our group’s pictures.
