Ashcraft installed a large, costly marble shower in my home in October 2015. The first time I used it, I found a large crack in the corner of one wall that had been filled with caulk. I contacted Ashcraft and they sent the same installer to replace the panel. I used a local glass company for the shower door and partial glass wall, which cost me $ 2200. Ashcraft suggested that we remove the shower door, but that the glass panel shouldn’t need to be removed. Upon arrival, the installer and his helper stated that they would have to remove it, but they weren’t certain how it had been installed, so they were«just going to have to break it.» I told them not to touch it and called my contractor in a panic. He left another job site and drove the 30 miles to my home to take control of the situation. By the time he got here, the Ashcraft installer and his helper had successfully removed the glass panel without«having to break it.» After they installed the replacement marble, the installer said to me «Well, I guess I might can put the door back but I don’t know what he used for that glass wall, and I probably don’t have it anyway.» I didn’t see the point in him putting the door back when I was going to have to have the glass company re-install the wall panel, thus removing the door again, so they just left. The owner of the glass company came and put the panel and door back the same night. It took him over 4 hours after having to remove the old adhesive, clean, and reinstall everything(He made a special trip at the request of my contractor, after hours, and was here until nearly 10PM). The cost was $ 700, which included a service call, labor, and materials. I was present for the entire installation and witnessed the amount of work required to do the job. I called Ashcraft and was instructed by Linda to forward them the bill, which I did. No one at Ashcraft ever made contact with me afterward, nor could I get anyone to return my phone calls. I finally had my contractor, who has a prior working relationship with them, attempt to make contact. After 3 phone calls, where he was told they would have to «call him back» and various phone calls during business hours that went unanswered, Rick, the«manager», FINALLY returned his phone calls. Rick informed him that Ashcraft would NOT be paying the installation bill because their installer offered to put everything back and the homeowner had refused the offer. They also called me a liar, stating that their installer had never threatened to break the glass wall. I have paid the glass installation bill on my own and have contacted an attorney in the matter. Had I read the reviews for Ashcraft Marble, I would never have done business with them. Hopefully, I can help keep someone else from making the same mistake.

I would never hire this company to do any kind of granite work! The granite was cracked on the bar area in the kitchen after installation and it took hell and high water to replace it; the granite on all the counters had little pea-sized holes in it because they didn’t put a final sealer on it. When I called them they told me it’s natural that Granite has holes in it and they wouldn’t fix it. I have seen plenty of kitchens and bathrooms with Granite counters and none had holes in it! My handyman said he never saw such shoddy work. They just don’t stand behind their work and they couldn’t care less whether the customer is happy or not, once they have the money! My advise: stay far away from this company!

I hate having to give this company even one star. The installers broke the granite on the lip edge while cutting the sink opening(INMYHOME with dust everywhere). This caused the granite to pull away from the tile backsplash. They scratched my cabinets and made such a mess I had to hire help to clean the house and touch up cabinet stain. When contacted about the break and the cabinet top separating from the backsplash they promised to send someone to look at it. The same installers showed up but would not admit what was happening instead refused to see the problem. Told me someone would be out to try to cover the crack. Said I would still see it but it would not be rough anymore. After six months, finally a nice young man who only does touch ups for Ashcraft showed up. He immediately called them as he saw the damage caused by the break. He was told that he just needed to shine up the break and fill in the crack between the backsplash and the granite with grout as I was moving as soon as the house sells and it is to «costly» for them to fix it. The grout along that seem is almost half and inch wide now. I have contacted BBB and I will not stop with the bad publicity. I deemed it is too«costly» for them not to fix it.

My initial reaction to my experience with Ashcraft was positive. They installed beautiful granite counter tops in our home, seemed professional, and did what appeared to be a good job. However, only a couple of months later, the undermount sink we purchased from them, and which they installed, collapsed into the cabinetry. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the sink was shimmed with cardboard. I contacted Ashcraft, but got nowhere. They refused to make good on their shoddy installation. The plumber I had to hire to fix the disaster they created agreed that the workmanship was substandard. I will avoid this business when it comes time to replace the other counter tops in our home. I will look for a business that stands behind its work.
