Specialties

Breakers specializes in a pacific rim-style seafood. In this modern world many people are looking for healthier options for lunch and dinner and we aim to bring this to them. Whether its oysters on the half shell, or a mahi filet with our famous pineapple mango chutney, you will be delightfully surprised by our menu. Our lunch menu is very reasonably priced with a starting price of $ 5.95 while at the same time you can grab one of our one pound colossal lobster tails. Keep in mind our Saturday night live music scene as well as our late night happy hour and weekend dinner specials. We hope to see you soon

History

Established in 2009.

The Breakers’ story starts thousands of miles away at the edge of our continent on a pier in the Santa Monica bay. In fact, you can catch a glimpse of this very pier when you come to visit us. It is here, listening to the melodious sound of the ocean waves and digging into the fresh catch offered by local eateries that the concept was born. To bring this hip, California Atmosphere back to Tyler, Texas was the next step. Everything from the surfboards on the wall to the fish on the plate was going to have to be imported. As the theme came together it became obvious that it was going to be special.

Meet the Business Owner

Brandon H.

Business Owner

I was born in Santa Monica, CA in the early 80’s but was promptly moved to Tyler, TX in order to avoid the chaotic lifestyle of Los Angeles. While attending school at Robert E Lee, I spent most of my summers back on the beach in Santa Monica. Finally, moving back there after graduation, I was able to become fully immersed in the culture that Southern California offers. From Venice Beach to Korea Town, L.A. truly has everything one might want, culturally. Seeing that my future in Los Angeles was limited, I returned to Tyler with the goal of bringing a small taste of this wonderful locale with me. As you enter the doors of Breakers you will notice many of the personal touches that I have given to this establishment. I hope you appreciate the atmosphere and the food, along with the laid back, lively aura that permeates throughout the place. My name is Brandon Hafner and I would like to personally invite you to my restaurant.
