This is our favorite hotel in Tyler. We stay here at least once a year. The rooms are clean and well maintained. I would give it 4 stars if not for the spray housekeeping uses. It is so strong and smells like someone spilled a bottle of perfume in the room. You can’t get away from it, it is in the carpet, on the bedspread… overwhelming. Marriott please dilute this over powering perfumie cover up. I’d rather smell whatever you are trying to cover up. It is too strong. This is an update. The manager was so kind to respond and correct the situation. Now that is five star service. Thank you!

This hotel is very nice. The people working the front desk were very nice and the check in process was quick. The hotel was nice and clean and recently updated. The breakfast offerings were the standard scramble eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, muffins, and fresh waffles. We will stay here again on our next business trip. Also have to give a shout out to the lady that cooks the breakfast items. I did not catch her name but she was very friendly and made everyone feel welcomed. I highly recommend this place.

This hotel is great! The rooms are very clean and modern. We were very impressed. The staff here is awesome, they treat you like a star. Very friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast was delicious! They have small buffet, offering scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, fresh waffles(they have a waffle machine there) muffins, yogurts, cereal, juice, milk, coffee and more! My family and I are very satisfied, we will be coming back again and again :)

Another day, and another good visit to Fairfield Inn & Suites. This time, the Tyler location. First, this Fairfield property is located just off of Loop 323 and next to a Chinese Buffet restaurant. The right turn can be easily missed if you aren’t paying attention, so when you start seeing the Fairfield sign, SLOWDOWN. You will easily miss the turn! When leaving toward the mall, you have to cross a few lanes to make a U-turn. Kind of a dangerous intersection, so take caution. For some reason, this property seems a bit smaller than other Fairfield locations. Same 3 levels & amenities, yet smaller parking lot area and even smaller port au crochet(nearly non-existent). The interior of the hotel lobby and first floor are nearly identical to the Fairfield of Longview, TX location on 4th street. It was kinda eerie. After a long day of viewing reports within the summer Texas sun, I asked myself«Did I take the wrong exit? Am I back in Longview, as opposed to Tyler?» Either way, I got over that twilight zone moment. The front desk agent was very cool, and insisted that I take a few fresh cookies back to the room. I don’t eat cookies often, yet these cookies were damn good! Check-in process took minutes, and I was in my room with double queen beds ready to plop down and let my human battery recharge. No issues with the room. You can tell that this is either a newer property, or one that may have been renovated in the past 2 – 3 years. You just get that feel. The bed was a bit soft for my taste, yet I didn’t care. I was tired, tired, tired! WiFi was very good, and my floor was very quiet. One thing that I noticed on my room was a door bell-type of device used for the hearing impaired, which I thought was unique. I haven’t seen this at any Fairfield property nationwide. So glad that they have this option available for those that need it. Breakfast in the morning met expectations: waffles, pork sausage, bagels, scrambled eggs, muffins, juice choices, as well as three jugs of coffee(2 of them were house blends). Again, no issues. Check-out was super easy, and the morning staff(like that of the evening staff) was very professional, and genuinely friendly. The latter portion is quite important, considering that I’ve stayed in properties of other brands that really don’t say anything to you in the morning other than«Do you want to leave the bill on the same card» without even smiling. Not at Fairfield, and certainly not at this location. Certainly makes a difference in starting your day on the right foot, I think. Altogether, this property was good. For those that want to peruse different restaurants, the mall and its surrounding restaurants are about a mile in the opposite direction. Not far at all. Access to US-69 isn’t far at all either. Certainly will be back when in Tyler.

I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and was blown away by the customer service and the new renovations since my last stay. A nice young man named Joel went above and beyond to make sure my stay was the best it could be. I will defienitly be back!

I booked online and made a few mistakes by booking too many rooms with out realizing it. When I arrived, the front desk agent asked me what room for the night and I let her know that there must have been a mistake and asked if it could fixed. I needed one room for that night and the next night, plus an additional room for the following night for family. Somehow I booked two prepaid rooms for the following night and they are non-refundable.So I said that’s fine and asked to cancel my second night on the current reservation and I’ll use the extra reservation for the following night. It went downhill from there. She told me that it can’t be done then started arguing with me telling me that I don’t know how hotel systems work. A family member of mine tried to explain it to her as well and he got the same outcome. There was no manager or another staff member to talk with. Finally we just left and was going to deal with it the next day. We already told her that we will worry about it later and turned around to find the elevator. As we’re walking she starts talking about all their specials and said She hopes we have a great night in a very smart aleck way. I came back down before we left for dinner and wanted to calmly try to explain it one more time. She then said that she took care of it all and she understood what we were trying to tell her for 25 minutes. I tried to tell her that was the entire argument and that’s all we wanted. She then said something along the lines as if we were overreacting when we got mad. I told her if she would have listened and not been so argumentative, then it would have worked out just fine without anyone getting mad. I also told her that she didn’t need to be rude when we walked away the first time. She’s just a stubborn person. We shall see how my credit card is charged.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was amazing. We were there with our almost one year old and the staff all played with her and oohed and ahhed over her like she was a little princess. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate breakfast there every morning and the woman who runs the breakfast was so sweet and had that classic southern hospitality. The breakfast was full of variety and everything was very tasty. I didn’t find the hotel to be noisy at all. It’s very close to restaurants and shopping so the location was great. Overall we had a great time and can’t say enough about the customer service!

Good value & location. clean rooms, courteous & helpful staff. Great breakfast. Not all high carb/low fat. Minuses: loud plumbing/“down the hall” doors. susceptible to «next door activity.» no laundry service/room … I’m pretty sure most Fairfields have one/both available. Breakfast needs to begin at 0600 … or even 0530 … not 0700 We stayed here during the East Texas State Fair showing Texas Longhorns. Needed to be in the barn by 0730 on Saturday AM. With the unpredictability of parking at the Fair, 0700 start of breakfast was too late for us. Internet speed is acceptable for most application(not streaming). We needed clean/convenient. This outfit did well in this regard. We won’t need to avoid this hotel. stay was Sept ’13

These people have made customer service an art. I have had to travel to Tyler quite a bit for personal reasons. They have treated my wife and me like royalty. Steve the manager is the best and the rest of his team are super. If you go to Tyler and need to find a hotel, your search is over. Please give these guys your business.

I’m not that impressed. I go to Tyler frequently for work and would recommend the The Seep Inn off Donneybrook over this location.

This hotel was very clean, modern, and conveniently located on the loop. When we got to our room, we heard lots of bumping above us. This concerned me a bit, so I phoned the front desk. They explained that they were cleaning the carpet on the second floor and would soon be done for the day. It’s always nice to know that a hotel regularly cleans like that. Breakfast was included, and it was an excellent spread.
