Description

Specialties

The Honey Tree has been family owned and operated for nearly 45 years. Vitamin shop meets specialty grocer with health and body in mind. The eatery serves breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday, 7 am-2 pm, and is available on Saturdays for catering and hosting events. With a South-Western inspired menu, full salad bar, soups, sandwiches, and a growing bakery, the Honey Tree strives to please each customers palette. With a recent renovation and updated products and menu, Owner Evelyn Harvey and Chef Evelyn Lott are a grandmother and granddaughter duo looking to change the way people look at a healthy life style with emphasis on clean and whole foods.

History

Established in 1974.

A health food and store staple in East Texas since 1974. Richard and Evelyn Harvey, along with wonderful friends started this modest vitamin shop with health as the primary focus. After 3 locations they finally built their own store and «snack bar» on Shelley Drive. About 8 years ago the restaurant started to expand and there was a need for a more in-depth menu and healthy baked goods. In the summer of 2015, 30 years after relocating, their granddaughter and daughter remodeled the «70s» style store with updates and a full menu, along with a bakery, more unique and current supplements, and whole health life style products. Now, Evelyn Harvey and her granddaughter, Chef Evelyn Lott, operate this growing business with the mindset of non procesed, organic, and natural products should be in our everyday routine.
