Played a round here last week. As in my last review, the greens were in perfect shape. The course itself is great. I was disappointed at the treatment that my buddy and I received from some of the staff on this particular day. One of the grounds crew member got all bent out of shape after I hit a ball and forgot to fix my divot. Then he chased us down to demand that we get rid of our drinks because we didn’t buy them there. We had no problem with that and did as told. But then, at the end of the day, we tried to get a couple of drinks in the club house, only to be told that the bartender had been instructed not to serve us. No reasons were given. Very disappointing way to end what was otherwise a nice day. Hence the two stars.

This is a little public 9-hole course in Tyngsboro. It’s not bad. Cute little place. Clubhouse is ok. Pay for your golf at the bar. Maybe have a beer before you head out. Say hi to the locals who are proud of their little place. It’s a cute course. Beginner-type place. Nothing dangerous or fancy here. The grass looks like you cut it yourself — it’s hard to see the difference between rough and fairway. I had a nice round here. It’s never very crowded. I don’t know if I’d recommend it — I’ve been to nicer public 9-hole places — but I’ve also been to much, much worse.
