Canoe/Kayak Rental and Guide Service on the lower Cache River near Ullin Illinois. Specializing in Guided trips for groups wanting to access the largest Northern Cypress/Tupelo Swamp in the country. In addition, a small Jon boat is available for persons with disabilities and or seniors to see the river without the paddleling.
History
Established in 2011.
Owner and Operator Mark Denzer saw a need for a guide service and canoe rental in 2010 the hidden gem know as the Cache River. With a modest beginning of 3 aluminum canoes and 3 wooden pirogues, we continue to grow each year with a selection of more canoes, kayaks and one Jon boat for persons with disabilities or seniors.

Business Owner
Mark first canoed the Cache at 13 years of age and has realized its signifance ever since. Mark has worked in the wilderness guide industry for over 15 years and has lead trips in Missouri Ozarks, the Rocky Mountains in Idaho, the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, the swamps of Louisiana and his homeland of the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. Mark has mentored youth and adults for over 15 years teaching native traditional living skills, bushcraft and wilderness living. He spends his time learning the natural history of the area, the ancient history, wild-crafting, studying and practicing primitive living skills. He has received training and worked for companies including SUWS, Soltreks, Touch of Nature, Wilderness Awareness School, Boulder Outdoor Survival School, and has attended dozens of Primitive Living Skills Rendezvous. He has a Masters Recreation Management at SIU of Carbondale.
