America’s Tire Store – Union City, CA

This is the second time I been to this shop and I’m still impress with their pricing and service. Road hazard sucks especially when one of your newer tire was hit clean and unrepairable. Talk to this guys cause they hook me up on a new quality tire with great pricing. This guys are the pros in the tire bisnizz. and their service and efficiency is unmatched AAA.

Flat tire from a rock on the road. Went in to get my tire replaced and found that my tires are messed up instead. The guys there was very helpful, quick, and explained to me my options. They ordered my wheels and I picked up my car the next day!

I’ve been a customer here for many years and am writing this overdue review. Today I came in without an appointment with a screw in my tire. I was greeted promptly upon arrival. I told Nick that if the tire couldn’t be repaired that I’d buy 2 new front tires. He stated that since I’d been a customer for so long that he would only charge me for one tire! I had to wait because I did not have an appointment but everyone was attentive and two different technicians voluntarily approached me with how much longer the wait would be. Unheard of. The tire was repaired with a new valve stem and balanced FOR FREE! I didn’t have to pay for a thing. On top of that, when Nick handed me my keys he thanked me for coming in. What a way to keep a customer!!!

This place can get really busy, but it’s worth the wait. Great customer service and quality tires for great prices. I called several places including Lexus before finally taking my GX470 here. They definitely beat their competitors in price without lowering the quality of the product.
Matt and Nick were both extremely patient and helpful answering all my questions and making suggestions regarding the right tire for my needs. They fit me into an already busy day and got me set up in less time than they quoted while handling the steady stream of customers. Will be bringing my Tundra in here for new tires soon. Thanks!

So I got a flat tire and had a warranty with America’s Tire and the closest one to me is in Union City. They close at 6pm and I didn’t get there till 6:03pm and the guys are nice enough to still help me! I’ve always had a good experience here but this one tops it! I can’t thank these guys enough!

I called almost a week before my appointment on 12÷15÷15 and spoke to a rep named David who had originally booked me for a 3 PM appointment to change my right front tire, but before finalizing, I had asked to reschedule for 4 PM which he said was fine.
Assuming the change had been made in their system from the verbal confirmation, I came in ¹²⁄₁₅ a little before 4 PM for what I expected to be my appointment time, but when I spoke manager Max or Mike (had a side-​combed haircut) he said that appointment was for 3 and they «probably weren’t able to take me in that day». I told him it was for one tire and I already had it special ordered since they didn’t have it in stock. He said he’d try to fit us in if they could finish it before 7 because he «wasn’t trying to be there longer than he needed to».
I get that it was busy pre-​holidays with everyone trying to fix their cars up, but it really doesn’t take long to change a tire, especially if the location ONLY does tires and not much else mechanical-​wide…
I understand there was a miscommunication with my appointment time, but I don’t find it very professional to not only basically turn a paying customer away AND use this type of language as a MANAGER.
Either way, I wasn’t about to set a whole new appointment and asked them to try to fit us in which they ended up doing (quite reluctantly) with my car being done in a little under 2 hours.
When I came back to pick up my car, there was no walk-​through of what was done, just handed me my keys and sent me on my way.
Almost 2 weeks later I found that my back right tire was also flat and may also need changing. If they had bothered to checked my car properly instead of rushing me out this issue could have been solved in one day.
Needless to say, horrible first experience and we won’t be returning to this location in the future.

David greeted me as soon as I walked in. He was helping someone and juggling phones with his Manager Max behind him. Very courteous. I had an appointment that I scheduled online. Realized that I had made a mistake by going with the factory recommendation for my truck. Verified the tire size in person with David who explained the positives and negatives between the stock recommended and the «upgraded» tires for my Pre-​Runner.
All in all. Very pleasant experience. In and out within 50 mins.
Only complaint was regarding the website in that it offered me the smaller tire size as opposed to what was typically used. But that was not This location’s fault. Just the website.
With that said, this is the third time I’ve changed tires at this location. Very professional. David recognized me when I walked back in to granny keys and without saying a word, greeted me with my keys. Awesome experience.

They fixed my tire free!!! I bought them from Costco and still they did it for FREE!
1. Customer service is great!
2. Price is about the same as Costco.
3. Line is much shorter.
Unless you want to wait at Costco for 3 hours and be treated like you are begging for their attention, you need to come here! The end of story!

Anything to get you in there and close a sale.
Over 7 years, I have bought all my tires here so I have had good experience here, and I understand the tire business is tough, but regular customers you need to treat honestly.
I had called last week to buy my regular tires, but they didn’t carry them any more and recommended another brand and said if I bought 4, I would get $ 25 back for each tire. I actually came by the store to ask a few questions, confirmed the discount and set the appt.
I got there for my appt, and they knew nothing about the discount. Matt, the manager basically looked at me and said no. After I pointed out to him, his prices were the same as the dealer, he found a discount a $ 25/​tire rebate to offer me. I objected, saying that a rebate isn’t really a discount.
I felt stuck, as I had planned a trip tomorrow so I accepted it and called the rebate number. And I found that the rebate takes up to 6 weeks to arrive and it is a Visa card rebate, which suck in general.
Maybe I will feel more generous tomorrow

Just had our tire patched up for free and it took them just 20 minutes. Couldn’t ask for more.
I highly recommend this place and Matt White provided me with great service.

Super friendly and professional staff. I was greeted very quickly the three times I had to go in. Zac helped me out with purchasing tires for some new rims that I bought. Got a great price. I made an appointment to get them installed and the employees followed my instructions to a point. I needed different lug bolts, different center caps and some TPMS sensors installed. They did all of it flawlessly. Very happy with the work they did, will come back again when I need new tires.

had a rough day by getting a flat tire on my brand new car. They fixed that for free. Everyone is very nice and very efficient. Definitely will come back.

I’m pissed! Just got all 4 tires replaced and when they handed me back my car… The inside interior was filthy and covered in dirt: my chair, my side panels, and the door. They didn’t even put a plastic or cover or anything?!? This is extremely important when someone has white interior! It should be part of the standard process to put protective covers and return the car clean back to the customers the way they received it. I couldn’t even deal and argue after I saw it because there probably wasn’t anyone I could escalate to that has any kind of power.

I absolutely loved the customer service I received from Matt! I went in thinking I only needed 1 new tire, turned out I needed 3. Matt was super helpful, respectful, patient and understanding. He explained EVERYTHING to me about what I needed and why. He went the extra mile and I’ll always be grateful. Zak was my technician. He was awesome as well. He took the time to explain what happened with my tires, what needs to be done to fix the problem and made it happen.
Might I add, this was my FIRST visit there. I went purely on word of mouth review and I’m so happy I did!
Both men were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! I can now drive in confidence with my 2 small children.

I pulled up into the parking lot and was immediately greeted by Zac. Dude was very professional and courteous told him I was here for some new tires and he started the process. I had questions and he answered them all with ease. While we were processing information and payments he had a worker come in and already grab my keys and start going. They quoted me 20 mins. Shoutout the plug appreciate it!

Union City America’s Tire Store is very friendly. Get to the point, no BS.
Waiting time is about 1~1:30 average. Tire price is reasonable. Highly recommended!

American Tires in Union City is fantastic! David and his staff has superb customer service. When I walked into the door they greeted me with smiles I love that. You guys keep up the good work, This is what I call real customer service. David was extremely professional, he had a cute smile hahha great guy. Thankyou guys:)

David hooked us up with replacement tires for the paper thin tires Chevy puts on Volts and Sparks. I can safely nudge curbs again!

I have nothing but good things to say about Americas tire. I have a 07 Mazda 6 and it is my baby. I’ve gotten all my tires replaced here, and have gotten the warranty so if anything happens to them, they get replaced for free
…which came in handy today when I found a nail in my back passenger tire. I got here a half hour before closing time and they took me and told me I owed $ 0! so so nice when something unexpected happens! They also send you emails reminding you to rotate your tires and with the warranty, the rotate them for free.
As for the staff, they are super friendly and make sure you know you are an important customer to them. They always greet you with a smile and service is quick, easy to understand and helpful. I would recommend this Americas tire to anyone I know!

Bought a set of tires online and came here to get them mounted and balanced… $ 70 and 45 minutes later I’m out the door. Everything seemed fine, and with a name like «AMERICAS TIRE» how could they do any less than a perfect job you ask?
Well as soon as I got home I realized they didn’t swap over the color matched metallic valve stem caps for my rims, and instead gave me new basic black plastic caps. Apparently the employees don’t pay attention to detail. –1 star for a minor oversight.
A week later I’m at the gas station and go to check tire pressure: 3 tires are between 24 – 29 psi, and 1 tire is at 60 psi. Wow. Double the tire pressure in 1 of the 4 tires, and the other 3 2 – 5 psi apart. I don’t know what those idiots were smoking when they mounted my tires but I won’t be returning to this location. –3 stars for unsafe tire pressure.
MORAL OF THE STORY– Don’t come to this store… If you absolutely have to, double check your tire pressure ASAP, or have them check it in front of you when they pull your car up to the front.

I’ve been here several times before and have not had one issue. It seems that there have been many changes at this location (employee wise) and the service just isn’t the same.
My boyfriend purchased a certificate along with his tires to ensure the life of the tires. He recently came in to have a tire replaced and came back with a severely scratched wheel. The supervisor brushed off the issue stating that «well, the wheel’s old it was probably already scratched.» W T F. My boyfriend details his car religiously– to a point that’s not even normal or healthy for that matter– ANYWAYS, there were NO scratches prior to coming to this location and if you look at the picture I posted, the clear coat is even coming off the wheel.
I know that there are instances in which it really is the owners fault, however, I feel that the technician (Justin I.) should have taken responsibility in this situation instead of passing the blame to the customer
