The best chicken spot in the area, hands down, have been eating from this spot since i was maybe 5 years old! My favorite!

This place is so good. Their hot sauce is like nothing you will ever have any where else. The chicken is so tasty & juicy plus the hour sauce= heaven! The ribs are so tasy. The fried rice is yummy. The Lomo is delicious. Every time we go we get chicken, ribs, fried rice, maduros, Lomo & soups. Soups are so good. Make sure to get the hot sauce!

Excellent. 1) I got combo #7, which is 2PC chicken, small ribs, pork fried rice, and salad. 2) The price and service is excellent. 3) Their hot sauce is unbelievable. 4) Cash only.

Quick, fresh, and delicious! I’ve had my fair share of Peruvian food in South Florida, but I can honestly say that the Peruvian rotisserie chicken here is the juiciest and most flavorful of all the Peruvian chicken I’ve tried. I’ll definitely be back!

The hubs and I were walking down the busy street almost hangry and looking for a quick dinner fix. We walked into the restaurant and immediately caught a whiff of greasy BBQ goodness. Aware of the history of huge portions in this neighborhood, we decided to share Combination #7(2pc chicken, small ribs over pork fried rice, and salad). We also added in a side of fried sweet bananas. Our order was taken by a serious-faced man behind the counter with limited English. Cash only, he informed me. Minutes later, our transaction was done and we headed to the seating area to wait for our food. The food arrived almost immediately and the portions were huge! Thank goodness we were sharing! The chicken was well-marinated and tender. It went amazing with their homemade tangy hot sauce. The pork ribs were a tad fatty but very flavorful. The pork fried rice was no different than the ones you’d get in New York’s Chinatown. Each bite of the golden fried banana delivered a punch of sweet caramelized gooeyness. The amount we ordered was just right for the two of us. All in all, the whole meal hit the spot though all that greasiness left me with a strong craving for fresh fruit later. Definitely a great no fuss, fast food option. Will return!

Be warned I’m not Latin and I found the food bland and Greasy and so did my Welsh friend. We had the chicken lunch menu. I guessed by the high rating it’s been given by most people here it would be good perivuan food after all having had the Inca Poya in LA almost by mistake I held Peruvian food as one of the worlds best. I was simply in love(with inca Poya). Coming back to this Restaurant It was a lot of rice with chicken and at one point I thought I was like a cow mowing the grass. Oh there is a bit of grass here and some there. Must keep eating because I’m a mindless cow just churning up whatever comes next. Moooo This experience put me off trying any diner in the area. Thankyou I will eat from Newyork when I want to eat from outside. Come to think of it now I forgive you misbegotten restaurant I will try something new local.

This place is like a landmark in Union City. You’ll always see people eating in this place, never an empty seat. Their rotisserie chicken is the best I’ve ever had PERIOD. So succulent and juicy, and chopped hot right out the ovens. Along side their secret sauce, that chicken is perfect. I can put that sauce on everything. Even French fries, plantains, salad, and their spare ribs(which also are awesome) The pork fried Rice is not like the Chinese restaurant style fried rice, it’s on a whole another level. It’s cooked fresh and always nice and hot when served. It’s a very clean place with speedy service. The only con about this place is they take cash only. So definitely remember to bring cash with you. Be a regular, and order an Inca Kola with your order :)

Don’t expect a fancy restaurant. This however is without a doubt the best chicken in the area. Their hot sauce is NOT to be missed, their family secret sauce is the best ANYWHERE. They sell small containers of it make sure you take some home. Their fried rice is better than any Chinese restaurant bar none, its not soggy like most fried rice today. The food is worth the trip into this traffic infested area on a weekend.

2pc chicken & veg rice & coke $ 8 Excellent Veg Fried Rice. Fresh. Not like from the Chinese spots Chicken was so soft and 2pc was good enough for me. Sauce is not hot for me but I guess non spicy eaters will find it pica. It just gave it a good lil touch. It’s the greenish/yellowish sauce. Cash Only It’s like pollo supremo menu but actually better… with a mix od Chinese :)

I’ve been coming here for more than ten years. This is my favorite«Pollo Ala Brasa» spot in all of Union City; I am Peruvian and I say that with the utmost sincerity. This chicken is so close to the«pollerias» in Lima. It is that good!

OMG to die for. You HAVE to go. They take cash only… Which is the only downside for me. It’s not a fancy place to sit in either but the food is worth it.

This place is such a diamond in the ruff. Most walk by and probably think this is a sketchy little hole in the wall. But if you look a little closer, depending on the time of day you will most likely see lines of people waiting for the deliciousness that this place serves up. The chicken is probably some of the best I’ve ever had. My mouth is literally watering thinking about it. The sweet plantains. The fried rice. The hot sauce. …that freaking hot sauce. And for so cheap… Just go… go now if you can and thank me later bc chances are you would never suspect the amazing meal you can have at this local secret :)

I think as far as cheap eats goes this place is 4 stars. However overall if there is only one rating system then Chic King gets 3 stars. $ 23 bucks got me the following: 1 Whole JUICY rotisserie chicken– great flavor in the skin. 1 Small ribs order– plain looking but flavorful. 1 order of fried yucca– good substitution for fries. 1 order of sweet plantains — pretty standard and tasty. 1 order of rice and beans — can’t go wrong. 1 can of coke 1 half pint of the house hot sauce– very good, needs more kick, a little on the salty side so don’t dunk and drown your chicken. The place is pretty much no frills and if you are in the neighborhood and hungry its definitely a worth while place to try.

UH-MAY-ZING chicken. The vegetable rice is a good side dish to the chicken. Everytime we have a lot of people over we go for this chicken, everyone raves about it, especially the spicy sauce they give with it. Don’t be intimidated by the look of this place. Stop in and Def. make this a place for you to stop at in UC.

A place you have to check out. The food is amazing and was recommended by friends years ago and I’m still a loyal customer. Best homemade hot sauce and love the Peruvian chicken with ribs combo. Really authentic food that is well priced. And if you have the chance, try the fried sweet bananas and yuca!

This place came highly recommended from a couple of good friends and really proves that you can’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside this looked like your typical Spanish/Chinese fast food restaurant but man was I blown away by their food. I ordered the chicken and rib combo and was treated to fall off the bone moist Peruvian chicken and some pretty good ribs to go along with it. Even the pork fried rice had more flavor than some Chinese takeout restaurants that I go to. To top it off is the yellow sauce that is provided with the food. This is what truly separates this place from the other Spanish and rotisserie chicken places that I have gone to in New Jersey. Although the place was a little bit dirty and doesn’t have THAT much variety(only have chicken, ribs, a couple of other dishes, and a bunch of appetizers), what other place can you eat good food, buy sunglasses, and buy bootleg dvd’s all in one place? Yeah, that’s what I thought…
