Great Clips

So ever since my normal hair cutting place shut down, i had to find a new spot. I always knew they place existed, just never gave them a shot. So since i was pretty much forced to, i came here. Im glad i did though. It turned out that they have great service. Ive been here a few times now, and ive been very happy with the haircut i got and the speed of the service. I think ive found a new spot.

Since we had plenty of time available, wifey asked if she could get a quick haircut. Saw this Great Clips and walked on in. No wait at the time we were there.
It was the fastest haircut she has ever had. I thought the result looked terrific. She would tell you she either does not remember going here or it was just «meh, I’ve experienced better.»

I went to get my hair colored and I ended up having two different shades of brown on my head-​_​– They told me to come back the next day to fix it but it was still the same. I wasted my money and I will not go back there again. Go to a salon where they listen to your wants and not cut you off with their opinion.

GOTTA GET A QUICK CLIP. I really only like coming here because the guy who cuts my hair and my bf’s hair is sooooo nice. He takes his time and chats with me about how nice and long my hair is. I know I ain’t the prettiest broad he’s come across but I still feel cute sitting there. For styling, I don’t recommend it but for a trim, yes. He actually cut my bangs and at first I hated it, but I got major compliments at work.
And in two weeks, I’ll be in there again for a trim. And for an ego-​boost :)

I stopped here on a recommendation from Elite Nails, when I asked about a hair place for my simple buzzcut. Though the cut itself was still clean from just before my trip, my goatee and beard needed some maintenance.
Although it wasn’t a razor shave, Son did an awesome machine clip of my facial hair and goatee trim. He also got rid of the annoying ear hair and included a neck trim. The service was pleasant and quick. The shop itself was well lit, earning this Great Clips a place on my best BUZZ-​cut list.

I’ve come to this great clips for 5 – 6 times in the past year or so as this is one of the few barber shops I can walk to from my house. And I have to say it is very disappointing.
the good is that they keep track of your preferences and have a system for doing different level of shaving your hair.
the bad is that of the 3 barbers I’ve tried none of them have the skill to make your hair style look good. Some don’t have the skill, one has some skill but does not make the effort to make both sides of my hair look symetrical, and another just don’t have enough skill or patience to do both.
I actually just got my hair cut yesterday and now am fed up… one side of my hair was just shaved ugly… plus i asked for a shave of 4. during the cut there was a point when it was promising and good looking. then the lady must have made a mistake and decided to keep shaving to fix it… instead now it is too short and ugly. Not coming back for sure. Plus it isn’t exactly cheap either.

i love going to this place, my haircut always turns out to be great. They greet you when you walk in making you feel comfortable. i love the fact that they send out coupons in the penny saver. :) im happy with this place! I always go to Cristina she always knows how to cut my hair the way i want it. I always walk away satisfied! thanks :)

The staff here is great! They save your information in the computer so the next time you come in they know exactly what to do and give me a great cut every time. So much cleaner than some of those salons who charge similar amounts in the area.
Also, they advertise in the Pennysaver all the time so if you can wait around for their coupon you’ll be getting a great deal.

I went with my boyfriend to get a haircut today. It’s their $ 8.99 special so they are pretty busy…
He got his hair cut by this annoying Filipino lady. She kept complaining to her coworkers that she forgot to take her break, but she really was just upset during her break that she forgot she took it! On top of that, his haircut was interrupted twice by her taking personal phone calls. Then she starts rushing to finish because her husband is here to pick her up!
In the end his cut is okay. though, I am not pleased with her!

I would have given –10 stars if I could! I got a coupon in the mail for $ 6.99 for a haircut. Decided to bring my 2 year old here to fix the ugly cut she got from the mission location. If it weren’t for some of the good reviews on Unilocal,i would have given Great Clips a 2^nd shot. Damn… My daughter had the worst haircut ever! Seriously!!! Even I could have done a better job. THe lady cut her bangs slanted and I had to tell her to fix it. Although she did kinda fix it but they’re still slanted. The back was even worse. It’s crooked all over and the right side was way shorter than the left. I asked the lady to fix it but she couldn’t. She kept saying she couldn’t see what I saw. She kinda tried to trim the left side a bit, but it was no use. I gave up… I was like ok, fine… we’re done! Damn… I could fix it myself at home!!! She was so stupid to… she said couldn’t see my daughter’s hair and asked me to keep her head down. THere’s no way you can control a toddler like that. I had to tell her to raise the chair up instead! duh!!! so friggin stupid!!!
I didn’t even bother to tip her at all since I won’t be back anyway. For those of you who wanna give this place a shot, I’d say avoid a filipino lady in her late 50s.
I now feel bad that my daughter has to walk around with this ugly haircut.

I am getting married in a few weeks and I have been growing my hair so one can just imagine the horror if I get a haircut and it does not turn out well. I was around the area and took a chance with Great clips. I just wanted a trim but ate Cora (the hair dresser) urged me to get a layer. I am so glad I did and I am so glad that it was her who was at the salon at the moment. For $ 27, I got a conditioning treatment and a great haircut!

Trudy is a wonderful hair dresser. I trust her with my hair as well as my daughters hair. We both have long hair, though mine is straight and my daughters is curly. Not everyone knows how to cut curly hair and Trudy has always done a great job.
However… when she was not there and my daughter needed a haircut, we chanced it…, here is where it went wrong… if you know you cant cut curly hair, say so! Don’t do it anyways!!! The lady was very nice, and I am sure she ment to do a good job but she kept looking out the window while she was cutting her hair (per my daughter) and it came out way too short and a bit uneven…
Trudy is the best tho!

I went to greatclips at union city when they recently had the sale. I told the hairdresser to layer my long hair, since my hair was permed I couldn’t see the cut when I was at the store. when I got home and blow dried it, I saw that she had cut a thick chunk off on top and not even layering it. I now have to wait for my hair to grow out before fixing it at another place. I’ll never go back to great clips again.
This is how bad it was, some of my students saw it two days after it got cut and they commented «wow, you really had a bad haircut»…coming from the mouths of kids.

I get my haircut about once a month and I know they’ll get it right! They keep this little file on what you like to your phone number so they know who you are anytime you walk in to get it done! But I am a man, and I don’t think I can ever give a hair salon five stars… I just can’t
