History
Established in 1982.
J.R. Refrigeration was founded in 1982 by Jorge Vera Sr. of Lima, Peru S.A. Jorge spent many years working endless hours in the restaurant industry before deciding to learn his own trade. He went to school for refrigeration and air-conditioning before starting the business, focusing heavily on service.
As his business grew, he decided to implement appliance parts sales so that he could offer his customers same-day resolution to their service issues. Throughout the years, we’ve grown with the addition of sons; Jorge Jr. and Andrew Vera working together in the family business with the same quality, honest service, and family values you’ve come to expect.

Working summers in the family business while attending Fairleigh Dickinson University, I learned every step in the everyday operations of running a successful business. I graduated with a bachelor degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Graphic Design. After a short time, I felt a deeper love for the growth of the family business and thats when I realized that I couldn’t let everything that my family worked so hard for throughout the years come to an end.
